My stay was only 2 days but the hotel seemed well run and the staff were pleasnat and friendly. Only problem was the railway announcements early in the morning which we could hear in the room.

rooms very quiet and well laid out.electric heaters available. ample supply of tea and coffee and daily stock up of juice, bottled water and biscuit which was a nice touch. Room service quick and keenly priced and good selection of tasty food on offer. beautiful lobby and excellent leisure centre attached. Proximity to railway station an added bonus due to easy access to and from airport.Happy with my stay there.

Actual hotel and rooms do absolutely not match the very pompous discription on the internet and in-hotel available flyers. Rooms are old, haven't been remodelled in years. Local people say it is one of the worst hotels in town. Absolutely not recommendable for the business traveller.

Excellent hotel for service and location, I would certainly use the hotel again on my next visit. There was some confusion over the type of room booked, I booked two single rooms and my documentation clearly showed this but on arrival at reception they had a reservation for one double room. The problem was delt with quickly and effecently by the staff and no discomford was felt.

The hotel is adjacent to Newcastle central station with mainline Intercity links to King's Cross station in London and Scotland.

By airplane
The hotel is located 14 km from Newcastle Airport and can be reached either by taxi or by taking the underground to Newcastle central station, located adjacent to the hotel.

By bus
The hotel is two minutes from the National Express Bus Station, from where you can get buses to all over the country.
