The hotel is a very nice old building in the middle of downtown. Battery Park, Ground Zero can be reached walking. Behind the house is Stone Street with several great Bars and restaurants and if you close your room windows, the sounds of it won't bother you. Nice, comfortable and quality furnitured rooms but ours smelled mouldy. The staff was competent but not very friendly. The breakfast was not comfortable at all! The room was dark and lighted with very uncomfortable light. There was only three tables - on the weekends it was crowded. No matter where you sit, either the freezing air condition or a loud TV bothers you. Not too much different food offered. After a few days it got boring. If you don't attach too much importance to good breakfast and don't mind cold aircondition, it's a good place to stay.

Our room was exactly as those pictured on the hotel website. The Wall Street Inn was a great hotel in a great lower Manhattan location. A pedestrian only street of restaurants, pubs, and bakery borders the hotel. Only 2 blocks to 1/2subway lines to Penn Station, Times Square, etc.and 4 blocks to 4/5 lines to Grand Central. Only minus was poor set up for breakfast. Small container of juice constantly empty. Spigot for coffee on backwards, could not remove cup when full without spilling out coffee all over counter.

Overall very happy and impressed with the hotel and our stay. The room was fairly large (according to NYC standards)and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and ensured a relaxing sleep. The location was ideal for travelling to Battery park, S of Liberty and to the rest of the surrounding area, with 3 subway stations being within walking distance of the hotel. There was always someone at reception, even at 2 in the morning. The included breakfast was fair with a good selection of begals and breads, unfortuately nothing hot was available, the hard boiled eggs were also cold. The first morning of our stay the lady on breakfast duty did not fill up the supplies and most breakfast items were all go by 9am and there was nothing left for remaining guests to eat and several came and left without eating, however the next morning it was completely different picture. This time there was a different lady on duty and she kept all items fully stocked, in fact she did not let any item drop volume drop below 50%, she did an excellent job. We enjoyed our 1st ever visit to NY and this hotel more than met our expectations, very highly recommended for all.

It was a lovely stay and we would love to go back as soon as possible. It is really in the middle of Downtown Manhatten right in the center of the financial world. The rooms are quite small but ever so cosy. Lovely hotel with a great location.

This hotel exceeded my expectations and provided reasonable value in a city with expensive accommodation. Elegantly furnished room with good bathroom and decent size. Convenient lower Manhattan location - 20 minutes by subway to Times Square. Helpful staff. Breakfast area a little cramped but plenty of carbohydrates on offer. We found it impossible to turn off the slightly noisy air conditioning completely. Overall, recommended.

The rooms are great but the hotel location is not really good. Is far from the center (is in the south, skyscrapers and bussines area). You always have to take the metro and it takes at least 1 or 2 days to understand how to use it. Very good breakfast, mainly in weekends (croisants, baggels, cereals, fruit, american coffee, tea, butter, cheese cream ...)

We stayed on a weekend arriving Sat. afternoon and checking out on Sun. AM. We did not take advantage of the included continental breakfast that is offered off the lobby, but it looked fine. The surrounding area is very quiet on weekends, so if you are looking for night life you need to travel a short distance by subway to other areas. Subway stops are conveniently located, as is a parking garage which is directly across the street. South Street Seaport is a few short blocks away. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The room was spacious, clean and elegantly appointed; the staff helpful and courteous.

Great hotel - extremely clean, good value, and close to all the lower Manhattan tourist attractions, like the Statue of Liberty and the Museum of the American Indian. Very safe neighborhood. One tip: take a printout of the map showing its location, since taxi drivers have trouble finding this small street.

This was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had in a hotel. Given the location, I assume that the hotel caters to a business clientele. I was there on a weekend in part because of the reduced weekend rate, but I believe that the hotel gives good value even at a higher rate.

Having stayed @ NY hotels previously my expectation levels weren't too high. I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was. The standard of the hotel and rooms was both very high and the location was fantastic. I had seen other reviews mention the noise in the hotel, but I can't imagine how this would ever be the case. The small parade of cafe/restaurants that were closest to the hotel weren't of that nature at all! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

The hotel was fine for what I needed, room was clean and location was perfect but the staff are not friendly, breakfast is very basic, gym/sauna etc are all switched off and in more of a store room than a health facility but that said again the hotel met what I needed....nice bar just beside the hotel Ulysees, close to subway and close to battery park (cruises, nice park, statue of liberty view etc)

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and the Financial district in general. The hotel is in a good position although our driver (Super Shuttle) really struggled to find it-My tip always use a Yellow cab!Our room was very nice the only problem being it was located at the back of the property which faced on to a street with a number of bars which were very noisy in to the night-ask for a front facing room. The free breakfast was v nice and totally unexpected. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would quibble with the free internet service though as we were charged for access to the Business room. My second tip- visit the South Seaport area (think that's what it's called)-very close and a lovely location for a drink, meal or a general wander. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone-it's a great base to explore lower Manhattan-9/11 site/Liberty Island/Battery Park/Walk the Brooklyn Bridge/Wall Street. In fact having later stayed in Upper Manhattan I think I would stay here again and commute up to Time Square area to see the main sights. You must do the Staten Island ferry-great view of Lady Liberty-and for free. However don't make the mistake we made and assume there is anything happening in the ferry area at Staten Island when you get off - there isn't-just get back on the ferry you came in on.

Lovely little hotel nestled in a quiet street just off Wall St and the Staten Island ferry. Very close to subway system. Hotel is sympthatically decorated in a colonial style, very homely. There is a lovely little cobbled street behind with a few bars/restaurants and Delmonicos is directly across the road. I would go back to this hotel. I know that it doesn't have glitzy views of Manhattan but after a very busy day it's a great enviroment to relax in.

Good weekend price for an excellent Manhattan place. Price stated as "total price" still does not include taxes, which is always surprising for international travelers. AC probably has to be regarded as quiet with respect to the American standard level of noise. Otherwise very quiet.

This ist the best New York deal you can get - on a weekend, when rates drop to 170 Dollars. Question: What else would you get for 170 Dollars in Manhattan? It's a charming boutique hotel with all the amenities you'd expect from a four-star-hotel. It's a quiet, cozy place, close to the subway (Wall Street station, five minutes to Tribeca and Soho) with a perfect pub (Ulysses) on the other side of the street. Loved it and will definitely come back. Even in the week, when rates explode.

A perfect place to spend some nice nights in NY. Unless you want to pay less for dirty and bad hostels, Wall Street Inn would match perfectly your needs. We had a great time there; very clean rooms and sophisticated atmosphere in this small hotel made us feel happy. I cannot find anything negative from the time we stepped in to the time we left the hotel. I would recommend it to everybody who can afford a 3 star hotel.
