Very convenient location. Good breakfast. Clean rooms and good customer service. There were some issues (shower head was leaking) but the technician came really quick and resolved the issue. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A very comfortable hotel in a central location. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great. There was some intermittent noise from a neighbouring building site but that was not intrusive and certainly not disturbing to sleep.

When we first arrived, the lobby smelled faintly of cigarette smoke, but this went away by the next day. We stayed in a non-smoking queen room, as requested. Our room was on the 12th floor and was small but adequate. We did have one window with a decent view out the front. We enjoyed the little bar on the 2nd floor - too bad one can't get a light snack there. The breakfast was adequate and food was plentiful, but the breakfast room was very hot and stuffy, as if the HVAC system couldn't keep up. I noticed that the concierge desk was unoccupied several times during the day when I wanted to ask a question. The best thing about this hotel is the location - close to subway station, Times Square, MANY good restaurants, etc. And, it was a relatively good value given the location.

Unfortunately, the room had had a smoker before and so the pillows smelled of cold cigarette smoke. The rooms are too small. Would like to be able to see out the windows, but they were covered. Elevator quite slooooow.

First night the reserved room was not free-we got a suite. This suite and the double room we got one day later were nearly without daylight, the window went to a narrow patio. There is a safe only in the rooms, due to the change of rooms after the first night we had to wear our passports etc. with us.Breakfast was poor for European standards, but ok.Location is very good, free wifi and computer with printer in the lobby is free.

This was my third stay at this hotel, and I have been generally pleased, each and every time! I see that they have added hard boiled eggs, flavoured coffee and pears to their breakfast menu....A pleasant surprise! I thank them for their effort to get some protein on the menu to keep me energized! I think that this hotel works very well for my friend and I, and I don't see myself staying anywhere else when I travel to New York! P.S. Just take the bags off of the hanger in the closet, take the hanger out of the closet, and invert it.Then take a bath towel and clip it on the hanger, and hang it on the hook on the bathroom door! Viola...privacy!!! Enjoy your stay!

I had a wonderful stay. It wasn't the biggest room but what do you expect? I was traveling with my friend and we didn't care about how big the room was. we just needed a place to sleep and shower. it was an awesome deal and the front desk guy knew the best chicken and rice place and was so helpful! Super friendly, easy to ask questions and to sort things out. I left my ipod in the room and contacted the hotel expecting to never get it back(whatever is left is usually free game for the workers who find it...) I got an email later saying that they found it and sent it back to me asap! Seriously. They are reliable, awesome location, and perfect for anything.

We LOVED the location - in the Times Square area wihout all the noise! Close to subway lines and the Rockefeller Center. We loved seeing the fabulous museums, probably the best-produced play we've ever seen, tasting New York hotdogs and delicious bagels everyday at our Hotel breakfast buffet, where there was plenty of seating. We took a boat cruise, walked in Central Park, and came home to a clean room every day. The staff was friendly, and the free interner helped us find half-price play tickets. My husband and I took a four-day weekend to experience NYC!

The hotel was perfect! The position excellent, easy walk to Times Square, Moma, Empire State Building and right next to Rockefeller Centre. We were upgraded to a king size room on arrival (we had booked a Queen size), much appriciated! Breakfast was simple (toast, bagels, fruit, coffee, donuts and yogurt) but sufficient. I would definitly stay here again!

The Hotel at Times Square is a great place to stay. The rooms are cozy and the staff was terrific. We loved the location of the hotel, as it's within walking distance of Times Square & Rockerfeller Center. We also loved the little lounge on the 2nd floor, perfect for a late nightcap.

Location is the best virtue of this hotel, as it is halfway between upper NY and the traditional southern sections. Staff was helpful, but quietness is a problem indeed, as rooms are not particularly soundproof with respect to neighbours.

The staff ate very unpleasant. few things on the hotel hospitality: 1) when I asked a fridge to the room for medicines they asked for 30$ extra. 2) I put the sign of "maid service" and they didn't clean the room, even when I told them that they made mistake they didn't clean it 3) the walls are thin and you hear everything from the hall 4) the door in the hall was near to my door and it creak each time someone opened it. I asked to move a room but reception said they will fix the door, it was better but still noise. 5) my window's room was faced to a dirty roof with dead birds and filth

Excellent location in Manhattan Midtown. We had the chance to get a spacious room on the top floor, which is rare in NYC in general. The hotel was rather quiet, if we skip the noise made by other guests in the hallways and the elevator box (just above). Breakfast is good. I rated the surroundings at 7 but this is because I think that Midtown is a mess in general ;-) Value for money is good for NYC but this comment may be discussed if consider other locations in the world.

The Hotel at Times Square was a great place for us to stay. We stayed for two nights on our holiday to NYC. It is close to Times Square (5 minute walk) and we were able to walk to several major attractions. The rooms were newly remodeled and very clean and nice. Good Wifi signal and flat screen TV. The continental breakfast was just fine. This was a great stay for the price.

Stayed 4 nights and was completely satisfied and happily comfortable. My room was clean and spacious and nicely decorated. Wish there were more TV Channels as I like watching TV at night. The Concierge Service could be better in answering questions; they were young and not very New York savvy except for one I interacted with who knew a lot about getting around. The location could not have been better if you want to be close to Time Square, Rockerfeller Plaza and the designer shops on Fifth Avenue. The Lobby has 2 internet connections that make it easy to check for email messages and do some online research. The hotel guests and cleaning staff were friendly and cheerful and the hotel has a charming relaxed feel while feeling safe and secure the entire time. I will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again the next time I visit New York City.

The Hotel at Times Square is a small hotel 2 blocks away from Times Square. In a city known for inflated prices & tiny rooms, it was a refreshing change. The price was reasonable, the location was great & the little extras like complimentary breakfast & WiFi made it even better. The room was not the quitest. The noise from the hallway & the street was loud but since the hotel is small not too many people are outside your room. The noise from the street is a bit of a New York thing & an issue at most hotels. The one thing I really hated about the room was the glass panel in the bathroom door. This made the bathroom lack privacy & let in lots of sunlight early in the morning. I would recommend this hotel for travelers who want to be close to Times Square and are okay with a functional but not necessarily plush hotel. The hotel could use more people working their in the evenings as any glitch led to long line ups at the front desk.

Very pleased with this hotel. The room was larger than expected and very clean. (Slight mildew smell in bathroom, probably the shower curtain, but very minor.) They were able to check us in early and combined two separate reservations into one. Large dedicated breakfast room with plenty of the standard fare (cereals, bagels, donuts, coffee, juice, yogurt, bananas, apples, etc.) Good rate through Venere. Would definately stay there again. Just two blocks from the heart of Times Square and a short walk from Grand Central Station.

Overall the hotel was disappointing for the money paid. The room was on the very top floor and there was only one lift to take you there which was very small and took forever. The breakfast was good but the room was very small and very nosiy as it was right beside a fire door which slammed frequently through the night.

The only problem I had was with the alarm clock. It didn't work except to beep every once in a while. Since it wasn't even connected, I just put it in the closet at night and used my own. The information given by concierge about shuttle to airport was confusing. Luckily the original time I was given and paid for was accurate. If the second person's time estimate was correct I might not have made my flight as easily as I did.

Nice hotel, centrally located on a not-too-noisy side-street. Breakfast is included in the room-price which is a big plus. Other plusses are a safety box in the room and a big TV screen. The charges for (local) telephone calls are moderate. The hotel also organises a transportation to the airport (a slow and cheap shuttle or but a faster and also more expensive private taxi). The reception officers are not extremely nice but somewhat tough New Yorkers - but what else would you expect in a big city like this? The only real drawback, perhaps, is that most of the rooms have very small windows and are pretty dark even on day-time. I wanted to swich rooms because of this but the new room they gave me wasn't any better than the first one. On the other hand, you won't probably be spending a lot of time in your room. Despite its name the hotel isn't at the Times Square but some three or four blocks away. Still, I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel and would defitely consider using it on my next to New York, as well.

Es un hotel perfectamente situado, a 5 minutos de la bulliciosa Times Square y a otros 5 de edificios emblematicos com el Crysler Building. I had a problem with the hair dryer and the safe box, called reception and within 2 minutes the two problems were solved. Breakfast is included in the price, something that you cant find in other hotels in NYC. They have free wireless in all rooms but also they have two PCs connected to printers in case you need to print your boarding pass etc.. The staff is friendly and ready to help. We were surprised cause we thought that you cant get a nice hotel in a fair price in NY, and were truly surprized.

What a pleasant surprise when we arrived at the Hotel at Times Square! Myself and a high school friend (45 yrs ago!) went to visit another H.S. friend who lives in Manhattan. The room was small, but very clean and updated. The bathroom was very clean. Big screen TV. Continental breakfast in the morning which was a really nice "perk"..lots of fresh fruit, bagels, donuts, cereal, toast...more than enough to fill you up. We were on the 9th floor. The floor itself was quiet, but we could still hear noise on the outside. It didn't really bother us though.I would highly recommend this hotel for location, cleanliness, friendliness and price. We will definitly stay there again on our yearly visit to the Big Apple! And, we have already recommended this Hotel to family and friends.

First stay at this hotel and I was very pleased. Stayed in #909 and had a nice view of the GE building. Loved the room, employees nice. Great location for getting to the usual places while visiting NYC. My only complaint was booking a car through the hotel to take us to JFK, paid a $10 deposit and once at the airport the driver told me the amount due was $65. The hotel quoted me a cost of $55 total. So be aware of this if booking a car through them. I will be staying at this hotel for future visits. Oh and be early for the cont. breakfast, the employees clean up early. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

There were some problems -1. the room TV did not get CBS and NBC and when we complained they sent a person who jiggled a few wires and then said it was the cable connection to the outside, and there was nothing that could be done. However one tripadvisor someone else had the same problem, you think they would have it fixed by now. 2. The breakfast area was being renovated so they had a free for all in the lobby which we did not even try on our first day because of the amount of people in a small area and on the second day my husband went down with a bag to bring back a few bagles to the room and the desk clerk was giving him harsh looks like he was stealing something. He felt uncomfortable but you would think they would understand given the small area that people would want to bring the food back to their rooms. This was not told to us when we made the reservation that there was renovation going on.

Desk clerk stole credit card number, charged double for room and refused to correct his error. Police has to be involved resulting in a criminal complaint made against the hotel by myself and an immediate change of hotels. Reading other people's reviews, this apparently has happened before. AVOID this place at all costs

It´s Ok. Near from the most important places in New york, times square, fiveth ave, central park, although it´s some expensive for more than 2 or 3 days.there are cheaper hotels in New york, and with the same quality, although more far from the center of New York, exem. in Chinatownor near the soho.
