After staying at LOTS of NYC hotels, this is our favorite. High quality, large rooms, very fair pricing.

Hotel is shabby with shabby service. Particularly bad is the "business center" with 2 old computers operating at impossibly slow speed and a staff that shrugs and says "management refuses to spend any money on thie place" I will not stay there again and nor will anyone from my company

Best value in NYC. Fantastic location. Room quality can vary substantially because each unit is individually owned. Thus, there are tired old units, and fantastic updated ones. Three is a bit of a crapshoot, but if you get good one the rooms are large, the price is great, and the location is fantastic. No hotel room service, but lots of local places deliver. The midtown diner is around the corner and it provides great meals. There are at least a dozen quality restaurants that deliver to the Lombardy. Very homey feel.

An excellent hotel and an extremely good relationship between price and quality. I can recommend this hotel to both single travellers and couples.

This is a very nice hotel, located near central park (10 minutes walk). The people here are very welcoming. I actually got an upgrade and spent the 5 days in a large suite. My room was clean, beautifully arranged and above all, quiet. The reception guy gave me all the information I needed and was always really kind. I enjoyed my stay and can only strongly recommend this hotel.

It was a great deal for me. A very good quality with reasonable price. Convenient location and spacious rooms are very attractive. Outside noise and more than modest breakfast are only negative points. Surely will stay again with the same price.

The Hotel and room was of good quality, room was spacious for New York. Our money was stolen from our room when the room was getting serviced $7500!! later the money automatically showed up when the police were called to investigate. Management wasnt even willing to compensate 1 cent to our make up for the our honeymoon being ruined, not even a formal apology..would not recommend!!!!

Wonderful location. Request for a 2 bedded room for my son and daughter had not reached the hotel but they were very accommodating about that. No restaurant for breakfast so the $12 breakfast is not accurate, but we could order excellent coffee and pastries in the bar area.

For a NYC hotel in this area, the price is actually very reasonable. The Lombardy is in a great location and within easy walking distance to Central Park, Times Square. My stay there was very enjoyable. Thank you Venere, your description, reviews etc. are always what you get!

Heating working poorly. Windows do not close well. Noise coming from generators that made the night a nightmare.

The Lombardy is in a wonderful location and I would definitely stay there again. Our room was so spacious and beautifully and simply decorated. The reason for the low Welcoming rating is because one of the men was not gracious, nor welcoming. He was abrupt and rude. Everyone else couldn't have been nicer. Our room was on the 4th floor and was VERY noisy... garbage trucks at midnight, car horns honking, etc.

Greatest cost-benefit ever in NY. This hotel does not have convention center, swimming pool, breakfast included, etc. I know it has a restaurant and I believe it does have a gym and business center, but did not use the. I took my laptop and plugged the courtesy internet cable they provided. Just perfect to sleep and move arounf the city.

The location of this hotel is excellent. The rooms are very large, however some are in need of an update e.g. paint peeling, taps missing in the bathroom. The staff were competent and helpful when asked, however the service was not as good as expected/received at other US hotels - this could be improved.

Because room not ready at check-in, was fortunate enough to be upgraded to fabulous suite which turned out to be the best part of our NYC trip! Front desk staff knowledgeable and courteous but not particularly friendly. Maid service flawless. Great deli with reasonable prices located just around the corner on Lexington. Location is great, and overall, hotel is best kept secret in Midtown!

The one bedroom suite was like a 1000 square foot apartment. Two bathrooms was definitely a plus! Very convenient for shopping Madison and Fifth Aves, very close to subways, Central Park. An overall excellent location.

I was very surprised that I had not known about The Lombardy before in all of the years travelling to New York on business. What a wonderful value, price, location, "room service" from the local restaurants, free internet access. Room was LARGE, CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL. I will go back. Location is great on 56th between Lex and Park Avenues, one block from Bloomberg headquarters and Bloomingdales, and just one block off 57th Street. Much better than any Times Square location (I usually stay on 44th Street--this is better).

The largest urban area in America, and the World's capital of finance, the Big Apple is one of the most recognizable cityscapes in the world, yet like the enormous 7-story television screen in Times Square, the city is always changing with a continuous stream of new information. In the midst of the great concrete jungle of New York City is set the lush green oasis of Central Park. Imagine birdwatching in the middle of a mighty metropolis, with only the faintest sound of the city in the background. If you like big cities, culture, and lots of excitement, the Big Apple is possibly the greatest city in the world.
