I had a single room that was very tiny and I shared a bathroom that was also extremely small and not very modern. I had a nice TV, an old bed, old carpet and my room faced a brick wall. I didn't think I would be able to manage well with a shared bathroom but in the end, it was OK and I got used to it. The staff member who worked nights was friendly and kind especially when I thought I had lost my credit card! It's in a nice area near the subway and a block away from the park & the river.

In general a good relatively cheap hotel, unfortunately, dirty carpet and the noisy air conditioner

There's too much noise from the air contioning. There was no toaster or cooker or table to sit at for a meal. There were only 2 plates 2 cups, 2 forks and 1 bad knife! So, the kitchen utensils were less than the minimum needed!!! The wash basin always leaked and one of the reading lamps swicth did not work. The receptionist do not attend you politely, they make you feel you are bothering them with their eyes fixed on the PC screen!!! I paid 5 dolars for an internet connexion that did not work!! There was a full kitchen in the corridor but we did not have access to that... why? They said "no"... no more explanations when we saw somebody had acecss to that room!!!!! A good explanation should have been given!

Very tiny Room, Low Quality of Cleaning Service, Broken Pieces of Furnitures, bathroom unbelievably SMALL. ONLY OK if you give importance to VISITING NEW YORK rather than be comfortable at Hotel. You will have most important Museum and Places of NEW YORK on foot ! It's up to you to choose

Good welcome, but things at reception went downhill after that. A friend dropped by and left a message that we didn't get even after asking for it. Had to ask twice for shuttle back to airport. Room clean and spacious. Minimum catering facilities, but it's enough. Ideal location, far from the madding crowd - the novel I was reading when we arrived - but not too far. Our friends - a young couple - preferred our hotel to theirs located just off Times Square!

What we wanted in NY was a simple basic clean hotel near buses, taxis and the subway...also with self catering facilities...The Imperial Court had all these esp fridge, microwave and a coffee machine. There were good shops esp Zabar's near us to and Central Park was only a couple of blocks away.

The hotel room I rented for one holidays week is very big, cleaned and even with a very usefull cooking area. The bathroom is not modern but it was well equipped and with a window too. A very fast and free web connection is available with a cable provided by the hotel employees.

A young couple (27&28 yrs) spent 1 week in NYC. The hotel was located about 20 min's with subway from Time's Square. The metrostation was one block from the hotel. The entrance to the hotel gave a really good impression with marble surfaces and "gold" but after the elevators the hotel was a bit rugged. We found that the outside gave a better impression than the inside but despite that the insides weren't bad. No pestisides no insects. Daily cleaning, kitchenette with micro and refridgerator was a definate plus. So was the tv with a lot of channels. The room was also furnished with a desk, chair, armchair, drawer and 2 nightstands. The bathroom was small including the toilet and the shower "area" and had complimentary schampoo, shower gel and towels. We often bought groceries from the nearby Zabar's and enjoyed it in the Riverside Park or in our room and perhaps saved some money =) We payed 760$ for 1 week plus taxes 140$ so a total of 900$/week for 2 persons. Feel free to contact us per e-mail for more info =)

Room is more like an appartment, with microwave, fridge and small kitchen. Bed was a little narrow for 2, but didn't cause a problem. Absolutely recommendable!

Molto ben posizionato, metropolitana a 2 passi. Prezzi bassi. Pulizia della camera lascia a desiderare, ma per quel prezzo e quella posizione si può fare!

The location was great, but the room left a lot to be desired. The rug was old and ripped, the toliette was a problem, phone messages were not given, the kitchenette had no dishes or cutlery (buy your own)and the room was very very loud (street side). I assume they are in the process of renovating the place. But what can you expect for such a cheap price in NYC? My daughter and I had mixed feelings about the place. If you don´t expect luxury, this is okay for a week long budget vacation.

Our room was far nicer than those in comparable hotels in midtown. The kitchenette was especially fine--and the maids washed our dishes!!

Nice quiet hotel. Now it's repairing and the lobby is a little bit in disorder, but it's rather clean there. The only thing I don't like - the smell in the corridor, it's rather strange and strong, but in the room everything is OK - clean and comfortable. Location is convinient - not far from Central park, just near Riverside park, two blocks from Broadway.

When your looking for a budget place to stay with private rooms (with own bathroom) then this is an OK place to stay. Location is good, hotel is old en looks a bit dirty. Rooms are very small, old but mostly clean. There were no facilities. The pictures on the website are far better then the real thing. However, the hotel was rebuilding the place when we where there (Feb. 2008), so maybe it will get better.

Good quality for the money, the overall experience was flawed a bit because at the check-in they claimed my credit card was not working (threatening to kick me out...) In the end we discovered it was their fault and the card passed through correctly.
