The only good thing with the hotel were the surrondings. Overcrowded hotel with staff that didn´t take any intrest in their guests. We had choosen a room with kitchenette. The only thing working was the fridge, no micro, not the stove and their were no plates, cups or anything to use for cooking or eating. When asked the personel only said that it wasen´t something they offered. The kitchenette is one of the features of the room mentioned both on the hotel´s homepage and in the information on venere´s sight. The rooms didn´t feel fresh, this was confirmed by us finding Bedbudgs. The hotel offered a new room, but didn´t show any intersted to help out with advice nor did they show any cosideration.

We loved our stay at the Wellington. There were five of us in NY for a wedding. We had five nights. All three rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a very good location, near Central Park and also Times Square. Plenty of nice places to eat nearby and an Irish Pub a couple of blocks away with friendly staff. We've had a great time!!!!

The rooms were small, carpets on all floors. Good service at the check-in desk. The porters should give some choices when you ask for help to taxi to the airport.

The hotel has a great location, and that's the only positive thing about it. The rooms are very small, also the bad, and the facilities are poor (we had a broken dresser in the room. also, the room was noisy.

You can't beat the location. It is close to many attractions. We walked to MOMA, to Times Square several times, Rockefeller Center, theaters, Cental Park, restaurants, etc. We felt really hot inside one of the elevators (the one close to our room) and decided to avoid it during our stay. This was the only real negative point (for the price range, of course).

Hotel room seemed very old and had a need of redecoration, but it was as clean as an old room with a floor carpet can be. Good space to put away clothes. You did not hear the traffic (15th floor), but you could hear most of what happened in the neighbour room. The staff was nice and the hotel had a very central location.

We stayed in a Double-Double room. There was enough space. The view was upon a big house - so there was no daylight. The bathroom was very old and not comfortable. Our radiator made lots of noise - after claiming at the reception - we were told, that this problem will be in every room....

This hotel was in a great location, rooms need updating big time. room was large with 2 double beds, microwave, fridge and kettle also in room although i don't know why as they didn't supply as much as a spoon, we bought mugs and stuff, was just wondering why they had them there and not supply any crockery or cutlery, seemed a bit strange, apart from that enjoyed my stay, not sure i would go back as it;s far way over priced.

Exellent location, 5 minutes to MoMA, and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. Besides that, nothing special.

For a European it's slightly confusing that they add taxes on top of the price quoted, - but I understand that's normal in the US. The hotel has an excellent location, my room was on the 12th floor, so no noise from traffick or anything either. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative thing is that it need modernisation, you can see it used to be a grand and posh hotel, but that's quite a few years back! BUT it's clean, - and has a good price for the location, - so I'll stay there again event hough the paint is chipped and the carpets are faded. it's also very easy to get too from JFK with the airtrain and then subway. Walking distance to a lot of stuff in NYC, and several subway stations just outside, - so you can easily get anywhere

Change of room next day of arrival because of double bed for mother & daughter, and a narrow one. Asked for 1 night an extra cover, nothing came, my daughter slept with the bedspread. The young receptionist serving us was not very helpful and friendly, the others at the desk yes as well as the rest of the personnel.

The location in NY is excellent (Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Subway station etc.) and good insolation inside the building. Only negative remark: very noisy from out-side,no insolation at all. The breakfast room could be more spacefull.

The main problem of this hotel is it's old furnishment and the ugly dark colours that make it appearing not perfectly clean even though may be it is not.Noisy if below 7th floor front street. No safe box in the room, but at the desk and for free. Very good central location. We were given free breakfast coupons for the cafe' right inside the hotel and everyday it was a fantastic beginning of the day. Considering you just have to sleep there I would reccomend. Relatively cheap, but consider we were 4 people sharing a "suite."Have a great staying if your going!!!Silvia
