The property is located in Waverly Place, just off Washington Square in New York's vibrant Greenwich Village district.

The area surrounding Washington Square was originally a swamp where the first settlers used to come hunting. It then became the place for duels to the death and hangings until it evolved into one of the most sought-after locations in the city and the perfect setting for a book by American novelist Henry James, appropriately called Washington Square.
