I enjoyed my stay at the Ameritania and would go back. The location was fabulous and the room was quiet-the view out the window was another buidling. It was smaller than I thought it would be from the website descriptions. I was staying in one room with my three daughters. The hotel staff gave me a larger room when I complained of the size although it was still pretty small. The staff were helpful and everything was clean although it seemed a little run down. The biggest problem was the broken elevator. It took forever for the one remaining elevator.

I've been on the journey with two other girlfriends and stayed in NY for 4 nights. Hotel is located on excellent place and most of NY attractions are really close, as well as metro station. We had reservation for 1 Triple (1 bed and a rollaway). As we came in hotel they gave us a suit for the same price, which we appreciate. The third bed at our suit was not fresh made, the bedding was dirty. Otherwise the suit was clean but really darkas well as the whole hotel. The stuff seamed nice and friendly but as I asked what are the options for buying ticket for Mamma Mia, they served me a story as they are the only one who can provide us a ticket for a very good price of 150 $. As we got our tickets from them , waiting at reception, we found out that the price on the ticket is 67,75 $. We got seats in the back, and as we came for the show, there were still tickets at the ticket office. We felt cheated by our receptionist and were very disappointed.

From JFK Airport: start out going north on 134th St towards S Conduit Ave/NY-27 E/S Conduit Blvd, turn right onto S Conduit Ave/NY-27 E/ S Conduit Blvd, turn slight right onto ramp, turn left onto 150th St, turn left onto N Conduit Ave/NY-27 W, merge onto Van Wyck Expressway/I-678 N via the ramp on the left, merge onto I-495 W via exit #12B, keep left at the fork and take Tunnel Exit St/Queens Midtown Tunnel Exit. Turn right onto E 34th St, right onto 8th Ave and right onto W 56th St.
From LaGuardia Airport: start out going northeast on Terminal A, B, C and D towards Terminal B, C and D. Turn slight left to take the ramp towards Terminal A/Rental Cars. Stay straight to go onto Terminal A, B, C and D. Terminal A, B, C and D becomes Airport Exit. Take the Parkway West ramp towards Manhattan, merge onto Grand Central Pkwy W, take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway exit #4 towards Verrazano Narrows Br/I-278 W, merge onto Brooklyn- Queens Expressway E, merge onto Brooklyn-Queens Expressway/ I-278 W, merge onto I-495 W via exit #35 towards Midtown Tunnel, keep left at the fork in the ramp. Tunnel Exit St becomes Tunnel Exit St/Queens/Midtown Tunnel Exit. Turn right onto E 34th St, right onto 8th Ave and right onto W 56th St.
From Newark Airport: start out going southeast towards Terminal B. Turn slight left onto Terminal C. Stay straight to go onto Newark International Airport Exit. Take the US-1 N/US-9 N ramp towards RT-21/US-22/New York/Newark. Take the US-1-9 ramp towards RT-21/Newark Downtown/ US-22/I-78. Merge onto US-1 and 9 N/US-9 N/US-1 N. Merge onto New Jersey Turnpike N/I-95 N towards 16E-18E/US-46/Lincoln Tunnel/I-80/Washington Bridge. Take the RT-3 exit #16E towards Lincoln Tunnel. Merge onto I-495 E. Take the exit on the left toward 10th Ave/Points North/West Side Highway. Stay straight to go onto Dyer Ave. Turn right onto W 42nd St, left onto 8th Ave, right onto W 56th St. then right again onto Broadway.
