Having read previous reviews, we asked for a window with plenty of light, and got a window on the street. This was fine except it was on one of the lower floors, so it was a bit noisy, which some people may mind (we didn't too much). The prices were as quoted except that prices in the US are always quoted without tax - but this was all explained upon arrival, and what was explained upon arrival was exactly what was charged upon departure. All in all, a good hotel, and it seems that if you ask for just one thing (in our case, windows with plenty of light), then you get it.

Best choice in NY. Kind staff, clean rooms, cheapest than any other and breakfast included. No doubt.

The location is great. Rooms was quite okay. But if you like to have daylight in the room, you have to mention it at your booking. There are only a few rooms available with this. Our room had the window half a meter away from the wall of the next house. Felt like in a cave.

Enjoyable stay at Hotel Stanford. Staff friendly, obliging and helpful. Rooms clean and reasonably roomy given this is New York City. Lift was the only drawback - only 1 and very slow so often took the stairs. No free wireless in rooms so the business centre was often unavailable as constantly in use. Otherwise had to go to the coffee lounge between 7am - 3pm only to use free wireless there. Breakfast room small so a line-up for breakfast. Breakfast was good though - continental plus bagels and muffins. Just around the corner from Empire State Building, Macy's and 20 minute walk to Times Square. We would stay there again.

Excellent location close to Empire State building and Time Square. Easy access to most subway lines. Clean rooms, competent and service oriented staff. Free Internet access. Nearly blind rooms, suitable for long days outside visiting NYC.

The beds where extremely hard. Felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Another thing I didn`t like was that we couldn`t take breakfeast in the room. Don`t really see why... Only one elevator that took forever to come... Positive thing was that the rooms were big and it was a good location.

For the price it is great - good location, clean, and staff is very helpful. The bathroom has been updated, the room itself is small a bit drab, but who really cares when the price is right? There is a nice lounge with free coffee and tea and wireless during the day, and you can sit outside the door of the lounge and night and pickup the wireless, plus there are 2 computers for guest for a quick email check.

The air conditioning system was not working properly. It was our first staying in the hotel, and its location is the best aspect. The room in which we had breakfast could be a bit more spacious.

Excellent shopping possibilities. Close to action and sights. Good connections (train, bus, subway) nearby. Stayed 4 nights in New York, of which one in Stanford.

The hotel is very good; the location is perfect and the service was impeccable. The only things to improve are the complimentary breakfast (not much choice) and the lift (only one and a bit slow).

Excellent location in the middle of Manhattan, one block from Empire State, and for reasonable price. The location absolutelly compensate all possible small discomforts, such as a little bit smaller room, poor lookout from window or very simple breakfast. On the other hand, all the staff was very helpful and competent. When going to NYC again, I would go back to Stanford Hotel.

Very bad accommodation, staff at the hotel is not friendly nor helpful at all. Our luggage was lost at the airport and for 5 days none has helped us and even refused a phone call at the airport and they made us use our mobile (intercontinental fares). Breakfast is poor, there is only one elevator, very slow. Rooms are very dirty and carpet even more.

La posizione dell'hotel è fantastica, vicino a diverse attrazioni di ny, si potrebbe migliorare la colazione e ci vorrebbe una altro ascensore, per il resto ha un rapporto prezzo qualita molto buono.

They have a different price between the confirmation given by venere on web and actual rate I paid for. it was only little bit expensive. so that I accept that in the end. As to the service on Limousine to the Airport I booked though this hotel, they came late for 20 minute and this made me feel very worry if I miss the flight. In the end, it was ok to be on time for the check in for the flight. For the elth I think no problem.
