Location is great, a block from the Natural History Museum, 1/2/3 subway, A/C subway. Macy's Thanksgiving Parade went right by the hotel, which was a pleasant surprise. Heater did not work, staff brought up an electric heater to use during our stay. Wifi quality in the room was bad, had to sit in the hallway to connect.

Very small and dark rooms for the price.Flat screen tvs and updated bathrooms are a plus.Location is the biggest benefit here. 1/2 block to west entrance to Am Museum of Natural History and all of Thanksgiving Parade balloon events. Good restaurants along Columbus within two blocks, shopping and Broadway subway two easy blocks away. Coffee in lobby not in room.

Was only hotel available in my price range for Labor Day weekend. I can understand that the price was higher than usual given the long weekend but the room was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in and is definitely not depicted accurately in photos. There were few services and public spaces but the hotel is in an excellent location. The free wifi, which was an attraction for me, was slow and service was patchy.

Nice hotel in a wonderful and very queit area. The upper west side is one of the most beautiful areas, with direct access to Central Park, metro, bus and lots of restaurants and shops. The staff is very welcoming and supportive. The deluxe rooms are spacious, clean and with very comfrotable beds. Great value for money, ideal for young couples.

A nice hotel on the Upper West Side. Many nice restaurants are nearby. It is conveniently located near Central Park and the subway line. The hotel hall ways are very barren and then you open up the door to your room and it's great. I would stay at the hotel again

A very welcoming hotel, clean and basic, the picture on the web make the hotel look more upmarket inside and the rooms are much smaller than indicated. Was quite expensive but in a fantastic location close to central park. The staff were really helpful. You could hear people in other adjoining rooms really easily.

Is the first time that we share a bathroom. Venere must check the abitility of this hotel in its webpage. The firs night the bath was outside the room. The second night we pay extra money for an excellent room. Probably question of booking.

We were 3 people and had ordered a room for 3 persons. We got a mail saying, that the room had 2 twin beds, but it was single beds. When we told i to the man on work, he got really in a bad mood, told us, it was Veneres fault. We got on well afterwords, but slept 2 persons in a singlebed. The hotel is nice, a perfect place, quiet and clean. The best is, that it is so close to Central Park.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for Valentine's Day. The hotel staff were great. The room was great, loved the bathroom, and the TV was great. The only downsize was no ice maker or in-room refrifgerator. We kept having to go to the deli across the street for ice. Great restaurants in the area, too.

Before going to the hotel i looked on the review list of what others had said about the hotel. I was shocked to find not great comments on the hotel, and was unsure (as it was a xmas gift) to stay there myself. I went ahead with plans made and i am so glad i did! Both me and my boyfriend loved the hotel we got to know staff by name and it was such a lovely room they gave us- yes the rooms are small but most of the time we were out sight seeing it was a clean room nice bed T.V and bathroom was very moden. We had clean sheets everyday on the bed and clean towels in the bathroom. The only downside is there is no tea or coffee in the room but if you get up early there is tea and coffee in the lobby, or a starbucks on every corner of New York!!! Go to Park 79 you will have a wonderful stay.

The hotel is very nice... all the employees were nice and very helpfull. it was a awesome trip. at night it was a little bit cold, but i got a second blanket. the bathroom was most of the time available, often it didn't feel like sharing the bathroom with others, cause i hardly see anyone. there are 2 subway stations near the hotel, a supermarket is 5 blocks away (74th street) and it is a really nice and safe area. A starbucks is just 2 blocks (81th) away and there are few restaurants near the hotel. One uptown loop station is at the "museum of natural history", so you don't have to start at the times square. And few blocks away (maybe 3-4 blocks) is a "pink berry". a disadvantage for me (and my friend) was, that there were just 2 sockets we could use... and the elevator is veeeery slow.

Both ourselves and another couple were not given the rooms we booked on arrival and had to move rooms the following day. Bathroom is tiny and impractical for a stay of more than one night. No clothing storage. Would recommend for one night's stay but no longer.

We booked a suite (4 people) In the room was a doble bed and a sofa bed. When we opened the sofa bed, we saw, that they haven't changed the bed linen because we found hairs in it. The bed linen of the doble bed was also not changed, because when we opened it, it was dirty and full of blood.
