I think very good location regarding connection to NY center. Very easy to get wherever you want. However a short walk needed to get to metro, may be 10 min from hotel. Very helpfull hotel staff and guy from tourist information center directly in hotel. Rooms furniture a little bit obsolet (it remembers start of this century :D) and could be larger, however balanced with room cleanness (every day tidy up). very good hotel service regarding transport to hotel from airport (really free of charge) and to airport (it looks to me for fair price, 10 usd). Generally good choice regarding price, service and location.

A very good place to stay for the price! Friendliness and competence of the staff leave no further wishes with a roomservice that shows only in its perfect effects. One detail that might be optimized is the internet quality if you book wi-fi on your room. But you can also use the net in the lobby and then its for free. The other aspect is the distance to the subway, but that's just a matter of fact and has been remarked in some comments before. So if you have bad weather, remember to take an umbrella!

Had a room next to the elevators, so the room wasn't that quiet. But suffering from the jetlag, we could sleep anyway :-). Extra-paid Wi-Fi was a little bit slow, further the connection was buggy at some times. Also paid Wi-Fi should be good for more devices than one. Loved the hotel anyway, and deeply recommend this hotel for a stay @NYC. Excellent housekeeping-Service. Thank you, had a great time in NYC

Good price, metro at 5 min. walk distance to Downtown Manhattan in 15 min. DO NOT eat at the hotel restaurant. We tried it for our first breakfast and it was awful! There are not a lot of good restaurant around the hotel, so you should have dinner in Manhattan before going back to your hotel room. We were there early November for 3 nightts: temperature was around 12 C & hotel room was heated. You can shut it down (if you know how to) and open the window which is rare in an hotel. Room was OK, new carpet but old wall tapestry. The hotel has free parking, useful since we drove from Montreal. NY state tax add $23US to your daily room cost.

The hotel is very dated. Look good in a 70's movie. The rooms need upgrading and modernising. However, it was clean and efficiently did the job required. That was to provide clean sleeping and getting refreshed for full day sightseeing Manhattan. In that respect the hotel is fine. Staff were friendly, approachable and informative.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel very much. I would rate the hotel as 4.5 star hotel. I liked my room very much, and my stay was very comfortable. The stuff is very friendly and efficient, especially the waitress in the dining room. The location is the main minus of this hotel. It is 10 minutes walk from the metro station and another 45 minutes to to the city center. When you order note that breakfast and internet are not included in the price, and both are quite expensive.

It's a good quality vs. price compromise. Subway in the nearby and many good restaurants next to the hotel (PoP Diners it's fantastic!!). I advise a refurbishing of the bathrooms.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. It was a bit out-dated, but kept very clean. Nice and close to Subway stations and shopping and the bakery down the street was great for coffee and a light breakfast at an affordable price.

I read Travellors reviews before I stayed, and their was some poor reviews. I found the hotel to be shabby, dirty and in bad need of an upgrade. On the secod day I was left with no towels. My room was above the bar, and the Fri Disco blated to 3:30 in the morning, when I was able to get some sleep. I was embarressed to take my family there, a mistake that I will not make again.

When we got to the room it was dirty, you could notice it was not really cleaned. The next day was cleaned properly. The room service was excellent but some of the things thya had on the menu were not available. To stay for business it is ok. For a vacation, I would choose somehtign better or request an upgrade of room. The room was nothing like expected.

An excellent buy for the money. Secure parking and very convenient to Manhattan by public transportation makes it an excellent choice for someone driving in.

This hotel suited our needs. It is certainly nothing fancy, but it is clean, quiet, good value and close enough to the subway to make it easy to get into Manhattan. The free shuttle for the airport is a real selling point. The "neighborhood" is busy Queens Blvd and has absolutely no ambiance, but it felt very safe and wasn't as noisy as I had feared. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel. Nice receptionist and the city is accessible (Bus-stop right outside hotel but if you feel like walking to the nearest Metro, its only about 10 minutes walk.) The bell boys are not that helpful but since we were getting in late and leaving early, it didn't really matter. The room was good and tidied every day. Spacious and quite nice and no bed bugs. The en-suite bathroom was not the best in terms of the bath & shower and just outside the bathroom the carpet was dam. The toilet within the bathroom was ok so we were unable to establish how the carpet was getting wet. In conclusion, we feel we got value for money and are likely to stay at the same hotel again amd again.
