location is good, room was too small and not clean enough, I think this hotel deserve better (newly furnished) rooms and better service quality. security control was significant and make us feel comfortable at the hotel.

Location was the best thing about the Milford plaza - 2 mins from Times Square with lots of pubs / restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Club Room is worth the extra cash if you aren't a massive breakfast fan - pastries, fruit yogurts with juices, coffee's etc. Rooms were standard size for Manhattan. Bathroom was small - the radiator was extremely hot with steam coming off it. Rooms were serviced and clean sheets and towels every day. All the staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and very helpful. After all the reviews I'd read on places like Trip Advisor, I was expecting a dump. The hotel is in the middle of being renovated but I would only have one complaint -there's no bar in the hotel yet! Overall a very good stay and I would have no complaints on the Milford Plaza.

I stayed in a 'Club' room. Stated that there would be wireless and wired internet, however, only wired could be used without charges (with a very short cable provided!). Room was small and basic, but adequate and comfortable. Bathroom was tiny, but functional. The 'club lounge' was very convenient and offered a basic breakfast in the mornings and snacks/soft drinks available during the rest of the day, which was good. The lifts were very poor. At peak times it was not unusual to wait 20 minutes for a lift. I was on the 17th floor and used the stairs while going down as it was quicker. This hotel is in an excellent location with just a couple of minutes walk to Times Square. It is a good base if you are there to explore the city with easy access to the subway and other public transport. Overall a positive experience.

The Hotel is very well situated 5 minutes away from Time Square. Great location near the most important Broadway theaters. The welcoming was excellent even if we had to queue to register. We stayed on the 27 floor where the view was wonderful and the noise was not disturbing. At the 3rd floor they provide free internet access onto their own computers. The maid came every day to clean, change the towels and make the beds. Overall it's a very good hotel for the price we've paid

We brought a motorized bicycle with us. We asked if it was alright to lock it up just outside one of the doors, were given the OK, and then a day later, an employee cut the lock off. We received no notice of the bicycle being in a wrong location, that it should be moved, nothing, and were not there when the lock was cut. The bike was then stolen. We are VERY unhappy with this situation and the hotel provided no recourse, assistance, apology, or helpful action. Extremely unprofessional! Also, when I booked the room I was looking at a picture of a room with two double beds and when I called to confirm before we left home was told that our room would only have a queen bed. We needed another bed and were provided with a very uncomfortable rollaway bed. It certainly was better than nothing, and we were very happy to have it, but it was not what we were promised. So we were not happy with this either. On the other hand, the location of the hotel was quite good and the breakfast that was provided everyday was good.

We have stayed at the Milford Plaza 3 times and we love the location. The hotel is clean, and the staff is attentive. Being near theatres, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, tons of restaurants and the Port Authority is great. It's not glamorous but it's not seedy either. The Milford Club breakfast which was included was really quite good. We would definitely return again. This was the first time we took the bus to NYC from our home in upstate NY. We usually drive, but were glad that the short walking distance from the POrt Authority allowed us to use the bus for a change, and yet not have to take a cab to the hotel. The rate through Venere.com was the best we could find.

Great location! Could be more qiuet in the room, but other guests weren't overall that noisy luckily. The beds were very small. We wanted an extra bed - were promised several times and then refused by maintenance because of cleaning - so two of us had to sleep in one bed maybe 110cm wide. There were no more rooms to book. There is a café at the hotel where it's ok to eat breakfast, quick service but few places to sit as in most of NY. We would book the hotel again, once again the location is great.

The room was old and small. Although it was New Years Eve the staff was completely rude and unaccomodating. I was trying to leave the building and the security stopped the revovling door while I was in it causing me to slam my face against the glass; no apology offered. I expected so much more and would choose to stay eleswhere the next time I am in NYC. When I was trying to check out I was being charged more than what I had been promised online; fortunately I had copies of the information so as not to be over charged.

We (4 friends) stayed here on New Years Eve. The only complaint I have is getting TO the room, all the roads were blocked off and the cops just didnt care that we actually had a room paid for. Once we got here, it was fine. Room was small, but again, its NYC.. I've not stayed in anything larger, so I would say it is average for the city. It's literally around the corner from times square, but again, thanks to it being new years and everything being blocked off, we couldnt actually get INTO times square, so we were bummed about that. Staff was extremely friendly and compassionate with our difficult time getting to the hotel and recommended an awesome place for dinner. Good bars within a very short walk. Would definitely stay here again! Only other small quirks, its pretty noisy at night.. you can hear all the commotion going on outside, but it may have been excessively noisy do to it being new years, and again, it IS times square, so I guess one wouldnt go here for peace and restfullness, and the rooms were rather warm and we couldnt figure out how to turn the head down but then just endedup covering the heater with blankets and that helped.

I was very dissapointed with everything, the room in particular was abismal. The windows were broken, the curtains were discusting, the room was the size of a closet, the online photos made the room much larger than it really was, the photos online were decieving. My over all stay was terrible.

The restroom in our room was the only thing besides the loudness of our hall that was unsatisfactory. The water was yellow and the hot water was hard to get. The draft in all the old windows was brutal - esp. when the winter weather was 30 degrees. Hi, I stayed in the Milford Plaza for a week in November 2007. I was so nervous before we went that the hotel wouldn't be clean but It was absolutely Brilliant. The rooms are spotless(I'm a bit of a freak about any dirt in a hotel) the room was big enough for three of us(I've stayed in smaller hotels that were far more expensive). You have to show your key to security to get into the elevators, so its completely safe. There isn't a bar in the building even tho it says there is on the website(Garveys Irish Pub), but I think they could've been renovating it while we were there. When we booked we got breakfast included so we got access to a lounge were you get free soft drinks, Tea,Coffee and Internet access whenever you like(perfect for checkin the credit card bill on-line) The back of the hotel is Times Square, not far from Macey's, The Port Authority Bus Terminal is 2mins walk(great in the november rain). Its central to everything. Local Tax isn't included when you book and worked out at about $200, but even with that included it only cost us €500each for six nights which is a bargain! I'd definately recommend this hotel as I have already told all my friends to stay there and we're headin back next year and staying there again.

This was the best value in all of NYC! Best location in town for shopping, shows, restaurants, all the hot spots, subway accessibility. Yes, the rooms are small. Are there any in NYC that aren't? The elevator system at the Milford is slow sometimes and the water pressure in the shower is low in the mornings, but everything else was great. They provide a great continental breakfast, staff was prompt to respond and security was outstanding. If you want a 5-star hotel, then stay somewhere else and pay $700+ a night, but if you want something clean, convenient and reasonably priced, stay at the Milford. I'll stay here the next time I go to NYC!

The Hotel Milford Plaza was almost right next to the theater we were going to that night. It is very lovely, although the room a bit small. The staff were extremely nice. Our return flight from Italy to the states had been canceled and we were unable to arrive for our first night. They did not charge us, which was most appreciated. My colleague and I booked two rooms for a one night business trip. When we arrived at this hotel, they had no record of this reservation and had never heard of your website. We had to beg the manager to find us two rooms as they were sold out. The rooms were the size of a closet and were run down and dirty. Milford Plaza was clean but small. Location was brilliant could walk every where. My biggest gripe was with the shower, the cold tap was boiling hot along with the hot tap and took 15 mins to cool down each morning. Our room was assigned to us a check in but there was a problem, not sure what, so we were directed back to reception. They apologised for any inconvenience and told us we would be upgraded, we were delighted, but when we got to our new room were in a standard double no extras?? The room was clean and it was central in NYC I suppose thats the main thing, I just wish the shower worked

I went to New York with family for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had two rooms with two double beds in each. The Milford can use some updating, but at half the price of other hotels in the same area, you can overlook this. The rooms are clean and I didn't feel uncomfortable showering in the bathroom. The location is excellent, within walking distance of times square, broadway theaters, and many restaurants. Sure there are nicer hotels in the area, but if you are looking to save some money in the price of the room and spend it seeing New York, you can't beat it! I usually stay in New Jersey when I go to New York because of price, but now I will definitely check the Milford out when I return to New York. Oh, the hotel staff was great and very accommodating and did I mention the price!

This was my first stay at the Milford Plaza although I have stayed in New York many times before. It is in an unbeatable location just a few minutes walk to Times Square, The Port Authority Bus station, Macy's, Empire State Building the Subway...... We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel is a little dated and could do with a lick of paint here and their but the rooms are clean and for the amount of time you spend in them they are more than adequate. We were lucky enough to have breakfast included, which was a good selection of cereals, pastries, juices, tea and coffee. I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone travelling to New York.

We chose the Milford Plaza due to location. It is in the perfect place if you want to be close to Times Square and Broadway. Subways were easily accessible and the location was good for all our needs. The front desk staff and bell captains were quite pleasant and helpful. The concierge, however, was not. He "lectured" me on my lack of planning when I asked him to make arrangements for the supershuttle to transport us back to the airport. I ended up walking away and having the bell captain hail me a taxi, which he did quite graciously. The rooms are small and old, but not uncomfortable. You come to NY to see the sights, not stay in your room, so it was perfect for our needs. Security is good. You can't get to the elevators without showing your key as a registered guest, so that was a nice feature. My one complaint is that our room was not clean when we arrived. We checked in at 2:30 and were told the room wasn't ready yet (perfectly acceptable since check in officially starts at 3:00). The bell captain held our bags and we went out sighseeing until 5:30, at which time I picked up our key and we went to the room. It still had not been made up from the previous occupant and the bathroom especially was quite "unpleasant." The bell hop came right behind us with our bags and when we showed him the room he immediately called housekeeping and reported the problem for us. We went out to dinner and the room was fine when we returned. This was the only problem we experienced. I would recommend the Milford Plaza. It's not a 5-star hotel, but it meets the needs of the average tourist traveler.

At arrival they claim that one of the rooms was cancelled even that I call the day before and they said that everything was correct. Also they want to charge for the room $10.00 more than the quote price but after I show them the confirmation email from you they adjusted the price accordingly. I believe it was the employee that was processing the check-in fault because all other employees since to be very nice and competent. The room size was very small but the location of the property is fantastic to visit the city especially for the theater district.

Great hotel for the heart of the theatre district. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was larger then I expected and had a great view of 8th avenue and the Hudson! I'd stay here again and again! Only downfall is the deli advertised in the building is permanently closed. Should remove that from the website.

The continental breakfast room was a bit chaotic (the food tables were not positioned well), and there was not sufficient seating for the number of guests, but the food and beverages were fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The hotel is a good value and has a terrific location, 1 block from Times Square in the Theatre District. I would stay here again.

For New York City, it is a very good hotel for the price. We were 4 in the room, so we had to move for one to pass, very small room. The cleanliness and security made up for it. You don't go to NYC to stay in a room... Very well located for plays and shopping. You can walk to almost anything you want to see.

Location is execellent. Room size is good, but decor is looking very tired. We changed rooms 3 times before we had something acceptable. Web page indicated continental breakfast was included but was not offered, we had to ask for it.Breakfast ran out by 9.30 first morning and we had to go without. Lots of complaints so this was rectified by next day. Reception staff were either very good,or just not interested.

Check-in took slightly too long time, which was a bit annoying as I wanted to have a rest after the flight from Europe.

Excellent location. Perfect for tourists and econom travellers. Perfect and friendly security. Acceptable breakfast. Room was small but enough to spend a night or two. Room and all other facilities were clean. Towels and beds were clean, dry, changed every day.

Overall this was a great hotel for the price. Our room was clean although the bathroom was a bit dated. Great location...we saw Avenue Q next door. The hotel valet parked our car at an offsite location...$30 and very convenient. Lines were a bit long at check-in. Free continental breakfast (fruit, bagels, cereal, pasteries) was a bonus in NYC.

Checkin was extremely slow, took 45 minutes in line. Desk Attendents not friendly, did not tell us about the included breakfast. We were given our key and went up to our room and the maid was still cleaning it. We were not told we could check out by our TV, which would have resulted in another long wait for checkout, but found out just by checking the TV. Rooms very old, wallpaper peeling off walls. Huge plus, location is excellent to Time Square, very nice lobby area. Valet excellent and also the guy outside who will get you a cab.

Given the prices of hotel rooms in NYC right now, this was an excellent value. Not much in the way of flash and dash, but serviceable. And the quality of the bedding was top notch.

Si tratta di un buon hotel in un'ottima posizione, praticamente a due passi da Times Square. Le stanze sono pulite anche se non grandissime. Consigliato se si va in gruppo.

The breakfast room was inadequate because there were only 16 chairs to sit to have breakfast which was obvioiusly not enough in a hotel which has one thousen rooms. The food wasn't enough either and some people had to leave the breakfast room without having eaten anything. It's unacceptable to charge 3 dollars per item in the cloakroom( 2hours), it was my first time.

The Milford Plaza is located in a great area, subway station in the corner of the hotel, surrounded by theaters and 2 blocks away from Times Square. Pharmacy, restaurants, deli, Staples and other services at walking distance. Compared to other hotels in NYC, the price was fair, but it was still expensive for a 2 star hotel. Be aware of taxes, they are not included in this website's price and they really add up (almost $30 per night).

The room was small but nice. They charged a fee for wireless internet service and there was no coffee pot in the room. Everyone was nice with the exception of the security staff. They were extremely rude. The location was great. You could walk to most everything.

Rooms were too small. Knowledge of hotel check in staff not enough to take care of needed issues. Manager had to be involved. Still having a problem with money being held on my credit card that should of already been released. Won't stay at this hotel again. The location was good, central.

DO NOT STAY HERE - we booked a room for 2 couples for just over $200 a night. The place is dirty, extremely small, poorly lit, no mirrors, bathroom is tiny and dirty, room is stuffy and damp - the only good thing about this hotel is it's location. We moved after one night even though we had a 3 night reservation. Stay at the Park Central hotel near Central park and use the metro system - costs us less per night, got a big screen plasma TV, clean shower and beds, no musty smell, great staff and beautiful hotel.
