First of all, this Hotel should not have the cheek to describe itself as a "Hotel". It is a Mother and Baby Unit, which, when it has free rooms, lends itself out to travellers. Can you imagine my horror when I thought that I had booked a "Hotel" and ended up in what can only be desribed as a shelter? There was no indication of this when I booked, albeit the price was very very cheap so maybe I was being naive. Put it like this, when the taxi pulled up outside, the driver said "Your not staying here are you?!" When we responded that we were he said "People don't come to New York and stay at Hotel Latham!" That says it all really.. However, the staff were excellent and it was in a very good proximity to Times Square ETC. But the rooms were akin to prison cells, literally 4x4 and you could not swing a rat more or less a cat in there. Please travellers, for your own sake, avoid this shelter like Swine flu!!

Window shade would not go up or down. Room lacked a table. Found several bed bugs: a) upon opening the bed on arrival and b) again in the morning when we awoke. As a result, we will not stay in this hotel again nor will we recommend it to friends.

This hotel is exactly what it sets itself up to be - clean, budget friendly accommodations in a great Manhattan location. We knew that we wouldn't be spending the weekend in the hotel, we just needed a place to crash in NYC. This was the perfect place! Highly recommended!

First time, stayed during the middle of January so not that many other people in the building and surroundings. Very small room, but OK for a stay in such a great city. Shared bathroom, but rather clean and nice. Central location is sure worth its price.

We were there in November 2008 for holiday. The hotel position is good, just few minutes from Empire State Building. The cleanliness of room and shared bathroom could be better but the employees are kind and able to resolve any kind of problem. The rooms are really small but for our needs it was enough.

The hotel is in the middle of Manhattan. Very good position. The double bed is smaller that I expected. The bedroom was poor... However the hotel was under my expectations but is cheaper than others... and has a good position

The hotel is not luxury but it's in center of manahttan near the flatroon building.Staying in this hotel you can visit New York by walking because you are in the middle of the Big Apple. The price is so low if you consider that you are in New City

the staff was very nice and kind but the room was not so good. the bathtube was scrape off as the sheet for it too, elettric wires were bare, rumors on-going form the outside of the room. we had just some drawers and not even a closet. this hotel is share in 2 parts 1. gives hospitality to international guests and the other one gives hospitality to single mothers that have some benefit from di u.s. governement (i suppose).

I'm sorry to say that our staying at Latham Hotel has not been good at all. I would not suggets anyone elso to go there, exept for its location! There is no view from the windows that are locked and so close the wall of the near building!! A serious problem if you are claustrophobic!! Aslo the employees are incompetent and unable to solve easy query (or just they do not want to ??) Really very far from most european standards!!!!!!!

The pics published in your website and the real pics of lobby, rooms etc. have nothing to do with each other. It is most probably the ugliest hotel I've ever been in. Nevermind also the most expensive.
