First time visitor to NY.Dylan excellent location, near Grand Central station, walking to Times Square. Staff helped arrange transportation to cruise.Would stay here again.Just remember modest price means small room, bath almost as big as room but location made up for room.

The staff was very unfriendly, the room is never ever a 4 star category, rooms was very small, loud and dirty, bathroom door was extremly dirty. All in all a very unpleasant stay on a overated house!

The Dylan Hotel is located right next to Grand Central Hotel in midtown Manhattan and I was able to walk to the shops and restaurants I wanted to visit. My room was spacious and quiet, and it was an oasis for me during the snowstorm that hit New York City at the end of October 2011. I am glad I chose it.

We were 4 people in room 1406. A bit crowded in the hotel room, but a nice hotel for Manhattan. Perfect location - with beautiful Bryant Park between the hotel and Times Square.

Hotel & especially the staff was great! Booked a room for 4 people but got a smaller one. Called front desk & they made change immediately to the penthouse! We couldn't have had a better stay. Staff goes above & beyond to please their guests. They are extremely helpful & competent to say the least. Would definitely recommend the Dylan to anyone.

The Dylan hotel needs improvement in the public areas as well as in the furniture of rooms. The bathroom has no place for the toiletries . Photographs of the internet shows something; the reality is other, much worse..

Hotel was clean but room very small. Was in excellent location (2 mins to Grand Central) Main problem was the noise from bin Trucks going all night which led to very disruptive sleep. However I would use it again if I could get a room in the back of the hotel! Really was so central to all sights.

The christmas show at Radio city was excellent with the world famous Rockettes. Empire state building and Rockafella centre were within easy walking distance. In fact this was a great base for any trip to New York. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Would recommend to all.

The Hotel Dylan was great for what we were looking for. We went to NY for 5 days landing on Boxing Day. We had 5 busy days sight seeing and shopping. The room was very clean and the staff answered the full equiries we had competently. The hotel was slightly impersonal and functional (no nice lobbies or bars to relax in), however, we just needed to sleep there, making it an expensive hotel to stay in. On the plus side it was in a fantastic location with central attractions in walking distance. The city is loud, something you can not escape from. We would recommend this hotel if you were visiting the city to sight see or shopping. Just remember that several taxes are added to the quoted price making it more expensive than anticipated.

This was an excellent hotel, especially considering the bargain price. I would stay there on every trip if I could get it for that price.

I ranked the quietness so low because there was construction going on directly outside of our window in the morning. When my fiancee complained, she was told that it was the city doing construction and there was nothing they could do or offer us. I really liked the hotel but that experience was negative. I will be staying at the Dylan again and hope to report differently next time!

Fairly spacious room by New York standards. Also, heard no street noises at all (we were on the 10th floor). No view whatsoever, but that's relatively unimportant to me. Excellent location. Very good value for a moderate price. Would stay there again.

We have been in NY several times before. Our stay at the Dylan started very badly as the hotel was overbooked and we had to be relocated downtown. Quite annoying after a 9h trip in particular if you stay for 6 nights, but thats NY!!. Back to the Dylan the next day, to compensate, we were upgraded to a higher level room. The room was nice but there is a quite loud industrial ventilation system in the basement. The hotel is nicely located and has a unique ambiance which we recommend. Preferable to give Madison and 41st as the address for the taxi!!

My wife and I spoke with Samoya of the reservation dept and was separately (my wife & I that is) assured that the queen room with a view will be made available to us if we didn't arrive too early and she said it was ok to check in at 8 pm or so. So we arrived at around 7:45pm-ish and guess whatm Carlos at the counter said this room is "NOT AVAILABLE". After some heated exchange, Carlos offered to provide a $100 off our stay. This was when everything was resolved. But my wife and I still felt deprived.

a very well placed hotel (just at 2 minutes of grand central station), very nice... The only little thing is the sound of ventilators but it must be the same in all the hotels in NY... It is very easy to visit NY when you are in the Dylan Hotel ! may be we will return to this hotel ?...
