Hotel Chandler - Manhattan, New York

Deluxe rooms a little smaller than anticipated. Helpful and friendly staff who offered to assist at every opportunity. Appreciated the free wine and cheese in the evenings.

First impressions not great because of building work outside. But the interior of the hotel is fine. It is a relatively small hotel which we wanted. The staff are very helpful. Our room was good, and met our requests for a quiet location on a upper floor. We had a comfortable bed and a bath (which we did not expect). I would definitely recommend the Chandler if you are looking for a midtown location in New York.

Very comfortable rooms, great beds, sockets everywhere, free wifi, lots of light (that never happens in NY), fluffy robes, great toiletries. Staff are amazing. I had to move rooms twice due to construction noise in the first room & heat not working in the second room. These things happen - it's all a question of how the staff deals with it, and they were amazing. They dealt with it quickly & apologetically, and comped me breakfast. What's more, the waiter at breakfast knew that my breakfast was comped before i told him - not a given. Excellent location, a block & a half from all the subways around Macy's & Penn Station, easy to go anywhere. I'll definitely be back.

It was a special Birthday for me but the room was quite small and dark with no view. Also, by the time taxes were added, it was very expensive and we didn't realise how much that would be. However, the staff were great and so was the location.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a great time. An excellent location very close to the Empire State Building and also a short walk from the main transport links. Within a 10-15 min walk to the start of the main shopping area. Plenty of good places close by for breakfast if you decide not to eat at the hotel. Rooms are very clean and a comfortable size with a good standard of decor and facilities. Only negative point is that wi-fi was very limited in our room. Traffic noise was not an issue as hotel is located off the main avenues. Staff are very friendly and helpful if you need any advice. Overall, a very good hotel in a great location. Not the cheapest but then hotels in New York generally aren't cheap. We would definitely stay there again.

Nous sommes restés 13 nuits à New-York à l'hôtel Chandler qui est très bien situé,sur la 5th avenue, à proximité du métro et des arrêts de bus. Il y a toujours des taxis disponibles , comme devant de nombreux autres hôtels. Le personnel est agréable et efficace.

More than expected. The room size was a NYC standard, the service was way above that. Great value for money, very comfy bed and WiFi everywhere. Extremely satisfied!

Stayed for 6 nights and booked a "Deluxe" room with twin beds. Originally got assigned to an extremely small room with a tiny bathroom opposite the lifts (the beeping noise from the lifts was quite annoying after a while!). Having said that, the room was still extremely cosy and clean. The internet connection didn't work in first room, so was then reassigned to twin bed room which was fantastic (similar to first but much bigger, especially bathroom, and much quieter). The staff were all extremely friendly and good at their jobs. Overall, I recommend this hotel strongly, as long as you can avoid a room opposite the lifts!
