Hotel Ameritania at Times Square - Manhattan, New York

Excellent location, clean but smallish rooms - very New York. Shame the bar/cafe was not available due to renovations but a minor detail.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ameritania and would go back. The location was fabulous and the room was quiet-the view out the window was another buidling. It was smaller than I thought it would be from the website descriptions. I was staying in one room with my three daughters. The hotel staff gave me a larger room when I complained of the size although it was still pretty small. The staff were helpful and everything was clean although it seemed a little run down. The biggest problem was the broken elevator. It took forever for the one remaining elevator.

I've been on the journey with two other girlfriends and stayed in NY for 4 nights. Hotel is located on excellent place and most of NY attractions are really close, as well as metro station. We had reservation for 1 Triple (1 bed and a rollaway). As we came in hotel they gave us a suit for the same price, which we appreciate. The third bed at our suit was not fresh made, the bedding was dirty. Otherwise the suit was clean but really darkas well as the whole hotel. The stuff seamed nice and friendly but as I asked what are the options for buying ticket for Mamma Mia, they served me a story as they are the only one who can provide us a ticket for a very good price of 150 $. As we got our tickets from them , waiting at reception, we found out that the price on the ticket is 67,75 $. We got seats in the back, and as we came for the show, there were still tickets at the ticket office. We felt cheated by our receptionist and were very disappointed.
