etremely noisy, windows to wall, not much light, uncofrtable beds. I advise anyone to go to the official Youth Hostel just 2 blocks away at Amsterdam Avenue. Definetely not worth staying in this hostel.

- Very good quality/price room - Ideal for travellers who would like to meet people, espacially in the evening in the living room. - No locker, so don't bring precious things. - Fridge, owen, microwave, kettle at disposal of everyone. Very good if you can't afford to eat out everytime.

If I go again to New York, i would not hesitate to return to the Hotel Broadway. I am charmed with me the hotel, the workers, the room, the price and the communication.

This was my second time in NYC, and this "Hotel", is the worst place I've ever slept in. First of all, they lie about the rooms. When we arrived we had to pay for the room before seeing it, I think this is to avoid you to reject the room. I thought I had rent a private room with bathroom as they mention in their web, but watch the pictures to view the differences between the rooms in their website and the room they gave us. We couldn't change the room. It hadn't any furniture except the beds.

The first impression of the hotel was bad, because it really looked as the receptionist tried to keep some of my money change for herself (when I realized it was wrong, she knew exactly how much I was still expecting back!). The room itself was kind of clean, though too small, but the worst were the shared bathrooms..they looked so old and crappy I didn't dare to use them..and the day after I moved to another better hostel! The only highlights: some cute guys and a nice front door!!

Great place for meeting other people (age 22-35) that are there to enjoy New York. Everyone was amazing and I felt completely safe to leave my stuff in the room all the time. I would highly recommend the Broadway Hotel for price & location. You can't beat it for a good New York place to stay.

Hotel Broadway was it was, budget accomadation for back packers and the traveller on a budget. I had a private room with its own bathroom. Though the room did not look exactly like it did in the images on the website it was of an acceptable standard. The room came with a double bed, a 14inch TV, drawers and an air conditioner, which was a little noisey, but it did the job. The blinds barely kept the early morning sun out and the noise from street traffic is clearly audible 24 hours a day, so if you are a light sleeper be prepared for restless nights. The public area has recently been renovated and is a very cosy place where you can rest and meet people if you so desire. There are couches, chairs and two big screen TVs that broadcast recent movies for residents. There are also computers availible for use and you have the option of paying by credit card or by inserting U.S dollars. The kitchen area also has a TV, with tables, a fridge, microwave ovens and cupboards to store food. All in all, I found my stay satisfactory, however it is my opinion that this hotel will suit the budget traveller or someone who isn't too fussy. If this isn't you then I would suggest spending an extra $50 to stay somewhere else. I hope this helps and have fun in New York.

When I arrived, many people who had a reservation were rejected a room. I was lucky cause someone in front of me in line just cancelled part of booking. That was just really bad. Otherwise the place is good; they have a really nice lounge (they must've actually hired an interior designer) and its near Central Park. The rooms are simple (hey! they're a hostel!) but quite clean.

A bit expensive for a hostel at over $35 a night but much cheaper than any hotel. The neighborhood was clean, safe and quiet. The interior of the hotel could use a rennovation including new carpeting, stairs, paint, insulation, plumbing, pest control.... The room was small yet clean. The bathrooms shouldve been cleaned more than once a day. They were grimy at times. The lounge area was fabolous however it too needed to be cleaned throughout the day as trash accumulated quickly. Overall, it was a nice place mainly in part to the lounge area and surrounding neighborhood. Rooms and general facilities were nothing to brag about....
