The hotel manager was not communicating with her staff. I booked my room through Venere.com in Febuary and was never told that they needed to charge one night on my card but to just have the card of file to reserve the room. I get a call a week before I am due to check in which is 4th of July weekend for them to tell me that they are about cancel my room because they could not authorize a one night payment on my card. I was highly upset because they should have let me know that prior to or immediatley after I booked the room then I would have known and had money available for this charge. The hotel manager was not knowledgable about hotel policies and procedures which almost cost me a trip that I have been planning for serveral months. By the way her name was Kelly Ives. The actual front desk staff was awesome considering what they were given to work with. I enjoyed speaking with front desk staff members Nivea and charlene who were very knowledgable of the area and things in hotel.

My overall experience was unspeakable, our bathroom had bugs in the bathroom. We needed to ask to have our room cleaned. We had to ask 3 times for a remote control, we had to ask for a coffee pot. This was only 1 room we had access to, My brother booked a room there as well and the Manager would not speak to him. In his room the phone was broken the faucet was missing handles and the bed was nosie. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and it was not worth the money I paid to stay there for 1 night. They locked up the breakfast area with guest still in eating. The hot water didnt work for about 30 min and we were on the first floor. When this survey is read I would like someone from your company to call me back from the Venere Company to call me back at the # listed on my registration or via email and let me know when my CC will be refunded for the worst night ever...

LOCATION EXCELLENT, STAFF & BREAKFAST FINE. ROOM NEEDED A COMPLETE OVERHALL, BEDLINENS VERY THIN,POSSIBLY DIRTY, WALLS NEEDED PAINTING, LOOKED LIKE BLOOD STAINS, SHOWERHEAD BROKEN, DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE ROOM HAD BEEN CLEANED OR USED IN MONTHS.

I was very disappointed and will never stay there again. The 1st and worst thing was when we got ready to bed after a very long day, I found a spot of blood on the sheets and the pillows had no cover on them. They were so stained I had to wrap a towel over the pillow before we could sleed on them. I called the front desk to inform them of the condition of the bed and was sent clean linnens but had to make the bed myself. I also felt really cheated when I found out I had to pay $18.00 per night to park at the hotel and the next thing was the broken iron. The stay was a nightmare.

I booked a room for the weekend leading up to Mardi Gras here on venere but was unable to actually stay at the hotel due to venere.com's lack of communication with this hotel. Upon arriving, I was informed that my hotel reservation could not be confirmed or honored because this hotel had been unable to access any reservations made through venere for the past two months. Further, I was also told that by the hotel manager, who was very nice and helpful, that they have been unable to resolve this issue with venere because they can not get a response from anyone with venere, who apparently is based out of Italy. So beware when booking with this hotel thorough venere! The manager was very nice and helpful that, although he was unable to honor my reservation, to help me secure a comparable room at a very comparable rate at the Quality Suites a block up the street so my trip went on without another hitch.

That is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The manager called me a liar and said I was crazy. He had my truck towed out of the hotel parking area because I did not know we needed a parking pass. Things like that should be included in the price of the room. The rate quoted was not the rate they wanted me to pay and I had to pay to get my truck back. Do not stay here ever!

I realize that the hotel was in the middle of Hurricane disaster. The room we were in was not at all remodeled as was led to believe on the webpage. The worst thing was that when we got there they did not have any record of our reservation. They did honor it thankfully but the room was poor for the price.

I have to say that we had NEVER stayed in such a filthy hotel. Shower faucet was broken, toilet was stuck, we were in an unbreathable smoking room. My wife left the hotel with a rash on her face and body that probably came from those disgusting bed spreads. We had to buy candles!! We were told that housekeeping was not available but once a week and the receptionists left little to be desired. It's a shame that a hotel like this is kept so very poorly. I severely disappointed at this hotel!!

We were booked for 3 nights but checked out after 2. Upon check in clerk had no info on our reservation. When Venere name was mentioned it received negative reaction. I had my email copy so clerk was able to call and verify res. They assigned us a dirty room. When cleaned up it still had no mattress pads. After complaining, they gave us a better room. Hotel was more like a dorm than a hotel BUT...you get what you pay for. Stay there again, no.

Your service in the venere reservations system was excellent. The hotel staff, specifically in the desk when checking in was poor. The urgently need training. They take too much time with people, photocopying documents, amking calls, looking at folders until, fianlly, they give you the room.

I only stayed there for the weekend. I wanted to go to the Essence Festival. When I first arrived the front desk clerk was kind of rude. They could not pull up my reservation and luckily they had some rooms available. At night it so noisy I could not sleep at all hours of the night. The stay was not worth the price. The room was very spacious the water pressure in the shower sucked. It was in a great location from the superdome. Every since they have changed from Sleep Inn it is not the same. It could use some major reconstruction including with the staff. Trash was left all over the building and I had to wait an hour to be checked out because payment was not taken care of right by the front desk.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel.
