Superb location to catch the hydrofoil to Capri. The staff were very gracious and helpful. Room 506 has a great view of the castle tower and bay. Wifi in the lobby and continental breakfast to get us going to catch the boat. Will certainly stay again when visiting Naples.

A real find. Perfect location for our fist stay in Naples. The Alibus from the airport took us within a few blocks from the hotel with only one stop along the way. If you are not expecting a fancy hotel front, this is a great place. Safe to walk in the neighborhood, two elevators and good size rooms for a city hotel. Simple, plain, clean facility. Had a little problem with hot water for a couple days. Wifi not dependable in room. Venere price held: a real bargain.

Great area in Naples. Very safe, close to all the good shopping areas and some very good restaurants. Only bad meals were at the restaurant opposite the Museo Archaeologica and outside Pompeii, but that was kind of expected! Everywhere else was great! Love the food in Naples! Try round the castle on via Partenope and also the restaurant on the corner of Piazza Municipio - looks modern and a bit touristy but the food was good! The staff are very friendly and the rooms were clean. The bed linen was so fresh and clean smelling it put my own at home to shame! It was a bit cramped and basic but for the price and the area you could not complain. I'd go again anyway! Plus the breakfast, as has been said before, was substantial for an Italian B&B. There are also vending machines in the hotel for outside breakfast time with very reasonable prices. Worth getting water etc. before going out from the machines. Also would like to say the buses in Naples are very easy to use and every bus tells you what the next stop is on a display so you won't miss your stop. Very modern. On the whole Naples lived beyond our expectations. I think staying in the right area to begin with probably helped!

The staff is very friendly and helpful with directions and bus advice. The hotel location is very convenient -- it is very close to bus stops so it was relatively easy to get all over town and to the station. It is also within easy walking distance of several good restaurants. Another great thing was free internet access at the computer in the lobby. The rooms themselves were rather plain but spacious enough and very clean with a nice tiled bathroom and plenty of towels. The hair dryer did not work. Not fancy, but convenient location and a lot of value for the price.

Did not find the hotel at the address on the web site but did find it's associated hotel on Via Toledo and stayed there. A better description on the website of how to find the hotel would be useful. It was lovely and spacious with high ceilings, nice decor, air-con, great amenities including a good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic pizzerias in Via Tribunale 15 mins walk away. Ask for the map showing public transport routes. Recommend a trip to Herculaneum!!!

I arrived at midnight, and got good service. It's in a rather noisy location, but it was nice to be that near the port, to catch a boat to Sorrento. It's rather far from the train station, however. I was happy there was a lift! Breakfast was sufficient. I got information, in English, about how to catch buses and trains.

Thanks to the excellent accomodation, our trip to Naples was very successful. Surely I will choose this hotel if I come to Naples again in future. Though there were not so many chances to speak with the staffs, the information they gave us was very useful, and I was very happy to find that the Naples pass sold out in the station was availabl in the hotel. I would have rated "perfect", if a TV remote controller could be used freely, not chained. If it must be chained for protection against any unfavourable guest, then I suggest they offer one more controller for the double room. Anyway, I will recommend my friends to use this hotel, if they go to Naples.

We had a great experience with this hotel. The people were very friendly and welcoming. The room was small but very clean. The locks on the door are not the greatest, but they do have a safe and safe deposit box in the room. It was a bit noisy at night outside with car alarms and the garbage men emptying dumpters, but it was not too bad. You have free internet access which is a plus. The breakfast was small however. The location is great--you are near tons of shopping and great restaurants and bakeries. When you take the R2 bus and get off at Piazza Municipio, walk back towards the way the bus came from (walk away from the castle) and Via San Tommaso d'Aquino will be on your left. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of one of the buildings on the left right when you turn down this street. We would definitely return here and would recommend it to everyone!

Although the hotel was dificult to find (even for multiple taxi drivers), once we were there we enjoyed our stay. The original room we were given had only a small double bed, which would not have been good for four nights. Our reservation indicated a King sized bed so the staff allowed us to move to a new room with a "matrimonial" bed. That second room with the french doors to a small balconey was very pleasant for four nights. The breakfast room was the best part of our stay. The food was only average but the view over the city was great. We felt the price vs. quality was very good. Great location and experience for the price.

The room window opened into a side street quite close to a major street with lots of traffic, other rooms are right aside of it, so an open window can cause a lot of noise in the room. With closed windows (doubled) it was fine, air condition existed. The room locks are a joke (the simplest ones with a keyhole) and do not provide a feeling of security. The breakfast was ok. Central location with a bus stop of many major bus lines just 50 m away on Via Medina, Alibus 200m away, close to Shopping area.

Good place to stay. You are in a safe part of the city, near to the Castle Nouveau and close to Via Toledo which is a great shopping area. The hotel is basic, but clean and roomy - I thought that the price was right for location and quality. You get a basic breakfast, so don't expect a fry up! Is a bit difficult to find at first, as the hotel is on the third floor - the entrance is a general one for other offices/ hotels, so you can miss it. I would definitely recommend a stay here - particularly if you are looking for somewhere safe, near to key sights and reasonably priced.

The Hotel Napolit’amo is a very good choice for a hotel with a middle price; room not very big, but OK, everything was very clean; the room window had a direct “view” to a wall +-1 metre away, but to compensate almost any noise could be heard ; the sound proofing of the room is not very good, but we were lucky and there were no noisy people in the nigh we stayed there; breakfast was good enough and people in the reception were friendly. Reception and breakfast room had a simple, but cosy decoration. Make sure you have a better/more detailed map than the one it is in the venere site, or you wouldn’t find it so easily! We went by taxi and didn’t have any problem (but the taxi driver first had to ask a colleague were the street was!). Don’t forget having available 1 coin of 10 cents to pay the lift (specially if you have heavy bags) as the Hotel is in the 3rd floor of the building! The hotel is located in a nice area of Naples, although the city overall is very, very noisy, with very heavy and confused traffic, very polluted and dirty. It has some very nice historical buildings that surely deserve a visit, though! After Naples we went to Sicily where we spent 10 days. Strongly recommend the Hotel Gutkowski in Syracuse and Hotel La Pensione Svizzera in Taormina (in this one if you have a car and heavy luggage, reserve a parking space!).

The Napolit'amo hotel was very nice, and is brilliantly located in the city centre. It is a bit hidden away in a corporate building. The room was nice enough, simple but clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the overall feeling afterwards is that we had booked a very much OK place to stay. The only two 'bad' things about the place are the noise (my Italian improved enormously by overhearing word for word the mobile phone conversation of the woman in the next room at 5am), and the price (but this applies to all accommodation in Napoli: as there are relatively few hotels in the entire city, prices are about 150-200% of what they would could/should be. At €70 per night (ca. £50), it is very similar to London hotel prices, and those are famously overpriced..) Anything negative pales into insignificance when you leave the hotel, and find yourself smack bang right next to the Via Toledo (1 minute walk), the harbour (4 minute walk) and the Piazza Plebiscito (7 minute walk). In other words, you are right next to anything you might want or need. And with the coffee, food and people, nothing beats Napoli anyway.

The map on this website is not very accurate, and when we arrived and I told the girl we got lost, she did not seem to care. We wandered with luggage for over an hour with the map from this website. We had to buy a map, and ask some locals before finding it. For the future patrons, the hotel street is located off via Medina. Find via medina and across from the bus stop and fountain area is the street. Other than that, I had no complaints. Other than improving breakfast with more food selections. It was very clean and the facilities worked well. I would stay there again. They have several locked doors and they give you keys to all of them. Two elevators are available as well.

But the doors are not very thick, so there comes some noise. Breakfast is not very different, always the same. But for three nights ok. The hotel is not easy to find, best you buy a streetmap at home about the centre of napoli. Very good hotel in the center of the city with a garage (20m - 18 euros/day). The quadruple room wasn't very spacious but clean and quiet. Excellent breakfast and very welcoming staff. To find the hotel, we hadn't got problem : you have to follow "piazza municipio" and then, the map on the hotel's website is clear. I recommend it.

Piccolissimo hotel. L'ascensore e' a pagamento. Fortunatamente l'interno dell'hotel e' pulito e confortevole. Very small hotel. Located at third floor of a building where other offices are. Elevator is not toll free. Once inside the hotel you'll find a clean and comfortable space. Rooms are large and well equipped. Bathroom is extremely clean. Double thick glassed windows, though my room view was against a wall.

This hotel is great value for money. Located close to the port and Via Toledo it is agreat location for exploring the sight sof Naples whilst offering a quiet retreat at the end of the day. Although in wuite a busy area we were not troubled by any noise problems. The rooms were spacious and clean for a 3 star. The breakfast was adequate and staff were friendly and helpful. Would defintiely recommend as value for money and location.

Fortunately our taxi driver from the airport knew the hotel location but it could be very hard to find if you don't have a map available. Print one off from the hotel website before you go! Please don't be put off by the exterior of the hotel - it feels as if you are going into a very grimy building but once the door opens onto the hotel floor then we as a family were very reassured by both our welcome and the general cleanliness and quality of the rooms. Please note that the lift requires coins to operate! Ok if you are young and fit but could be a problem for elderly or disabled. The staff were happy to oblige on all our requests. The surrounding area took time to explore - and although the staff were happy to provide some suggestions for restaurants etc. it would be very helpful if they had a noticeboard of reasonable and welcoming restaurants that perhaps spoke some English. Also to possibly advise on local visits/cheap deals as that is why most people come to visit this fascinating area! Overall we were very pleased with our stay and were happy to have our boys of 12 and 14 have a separate room. Once the windows were fully shut the noise from the outside and very busy street reduced considerably. Naples is very busy and noisy but then we went there for it's innate charm and not it's luxury and pampering. Please note that the breakfast although edible is very repetitive. If we came to Naples again we would happily use this hotel for a second visit.

Safe location with good access to port, funicular and archeological museum. On bus route to central railway station - I think just 1 euro from memory. Breakfast was very good. What attracted us to this hotel in the first place was the fact they accepted credit cards as we found a lot of 3 star hotels required cash only which is not the ideal for tourists, especially if they are staying for week-long periods. However, when wanting to finalise our account the night before leaving they asked for cash, stating their credit card debit facility was 'down'. I'm not convinced it was - especially as it was still down the following morning. What happened to off-line transactions! Call me a cynic, but I did feel I was being conned. We eventually paid by credit.

This is a great hotel in a great location. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. It's a 20 minute stroll from the god forsaken piazza garibaldi (try not to be tempted to stay in a hotel in this immediate area if you can help it - it's pretty grim to say the least). If you head for the tallest building in Naples, the hotel Jolly, and you won't go far wrong in finding it. We thought the hotel was great value for a 3*, considering that almost all other 3* hotels were more expensive than this one. The hotel is small overall, with only around 20 rooms and it was probably only half full during our stay (although I'm sure it gets booked up pretty quickly during the summer months). The staff were friendly and spoke a little english, which was helpful for us. The room was clean and warm. A basic breakfast is included in the price of your stay and there's a good view from the little dining room which is a nice bonus. I would (and probably will) definitely stay in this hotel again - it's a little cracker! Enjoy...

This is a wonderful, small, hidden hotel. The location is central and you can arrive almost anywhere by foot. An American wrote that the hotel is located on a dark side street that felt unsafe. You Americans must remember that you are in Napoli. You will have the watch stolen off your wrist if you don't watch it...so if you can't hack it, don't come to Napoli.

In the wonderful, chaotic city of Naples, this small hotel offered the perfect oasis. It is well located: walking distance to many sites; close proximity to the harbor; and an easy walk to many good restaurants. Because of the location, it is convenient to use the public transportation to-and-from the airport. We would certainly stay again.

Difficult to find as on third floor in a side street. More detailed instructions woudl be helpful (even with instructions from the tourist office a taxi could not find it) I said the room was noisy but we were probably in the only room on the front - main street. Quality was OK and price good value, but not really in 3 star bracket.

There seems to be a hotel and a hostal of the same name, which was confusing on arrival. Nice spacious rooms, clean bathroom, nice breakfast. We loved the fact that we could internet for free. Public areas are very nice. Breafast was OK. Receptionist sometimes did not speak English, but very friendly.

Strategically located near Maschio Angioino and Via Toledo, new and clean. Poor italian style breakfast. Difficult to find, there are no signs outside: 20 m from the Jolly Hotel, in the 3rd floor - you have to ring. A fine adress for a short stay at a reasonable price.

Good place to stay in Naples - good location - central. Good breakfast with outstanding view from the breakfast room (makes for a nice morning). The main difference between this and a three-star was that this doesn't have a street-level lobby - you go into what looks like an office building, up to the third floor, open the door to what looks like an office, then there's the lobby. Like everyone else says - this place is hard to find your first time. You can see the castle out of the breakfast room window and it's about 1/2 block from the neptune-looking fountain (this should help).

The hotel is in a handy location situated on the third floor of an office-type building. The rooms are clean and relatively modern, though they do suffer from a bit of road noise. Reception is unmanned after ~22:30. Breakfast is nothing special. Overall, the hotel is not particularly good value for money, but the same can be said for most hotels in Napoli.

This hotel is very hard to find. The taxi did not know where it was, left us in the street nearby. It took us one hour walking around to find it. Map on web site is very poor. No visible signs of hotel on the street. The pictures on the web site were also not true representation of the real thing. The elevator is shut down after 7 p.m. So if you get there late be prepared to carry your luggage up 4 levels. The room was however, clean and comfortable, with the exception of the shower. Hot water ran out in the mornings that the hotel was busy, around breakfast time. This is a major shortcoming. We had to take showers at night or in the afternoon. The noise level in the room is comparable with the rest of Italian city hotels (very high). Not much can be done in general but this hotel has wooden shutters outside the window that you can close tightly and it will reduce the noise dramatically. The breakfast is marginal but adequate, don’t expect anything fancy. People are allowed to smoke in the lobby where breakfast is served which is a real nuisance. The hotel personnel were very nice and friendly and helpful. Hotel is located near a shopping district and there is a supermarket next door, which is convenient. Also there are many good restaurants nearby. Real good food in Naples, don’t miss eating out. You’ll enjoy excellent pizzas and fresh Mozzarella cheese. The city itself however,…well, that is another story… J Overall, comfortable, clean, good hotel staff, but very horrible address to find, bare bone essentials only (the pictures on their web site was deceivingly too good), no good elevator, and cold morning showers. I have stayed in several hotels in different Italian cities and in my opinion this hotel may be cheaper than other hotels in the area but nonetheless a bit too expensive for what you get.

This is more like a 3 star bed and breakfast setting rather than a hotel. For Americans, it is a bit like a scale down version of Motel 6. If you have a very tight budget this is an excellent choice, but for those of you who have a little more to spend, it is not worth the savings. The hotel is EXTREMELY hard to find. Even locals do not know where it is. The map on their web site is totally useless. Don’t expect to see a sign or anything helpful from the street. The only sign is a 6-inch by 8-inch metal plate on the doorway that can be easily missed. Napolitamo is located within one block south of Jolly Hotel, which is the tallest building in that area, so, easy to locate. There is an ISSIMO supermarket in the same street as Napolitamo and almost next door. From the airport or train station take the “Alibus” (white color) for 3 Euro and go to the last station “Municipale”. When you get off the bus turn left towards west and go to Medina Street. Then take a right (going north) go about 4 blocks then left. Hotel is on the left (south side of the street next to ISSIMO supermarket). It is located on the fourth floor (by American standards) of a 6-8-story building. Elevator is coin operated and costs 10 Euro cents, but often does not work because someone forgot to close its door. There is a receptionist working from 8 a.m. till 12 midnight. There is no one in charge after midnight but the doors are closed and you have 3 keys for the entrances to the building, the apartment and your room. The staff was very nice, responsive, friendly and very forthcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean but very simple. They changed my bed sheets once every 4 days or so. My bathroom shower drain was slow to drain, but it was immediately taken care of by the staff. Bathroom was small but nice and clean and comparable other Italian hotels. On the days that the hotel was full the hot water ran out in the morning rush hours (right before breakfast

The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of all the main activities Napoli has to offer (Harbour/ Spacanapoli/ Spanish quarter/ Castel del Ovo & Nuovo/ Riveira del Chaia/ Piazza Plebiscito all within easy walking distance) For those wishing to combine a complete city trip with a stay on one of the islands (Procida/ Capri/ Ischia in this order !!) Napolit'amo is a perfect and clean place to stay (it's not luxurious but clean and not to expensive. It's easily found from the harbour (markingpoint the ugly Jolly hotel the not to be overseen skyscraper which is in the vicinity)

The reception desk is only open from 8 a.m. till 10 p.m., which is a problem when you arrive at the airport after 9 p.m. of when you have to check in at the airport at 8 a.m. When I called the hotel to confirm our late arrival due to a railway strike, the receptionnnist couldn't find any trace of our reservation. Fortunately she had found it when we arrived at the property. The hotel was quite difficult to find, even for the taxi driver. The building has a very austere atmostphere.
