Hotel Vittorio Veneto - Naples

I came to Naples looking for a hostel as the cheapest way to travel but i found this hotel room for 20 euros. I didnt expect too much from the room but when I arrived I was happy to find that i had a huge room to myself with two single beds, private basin and balcony. The room was also very clean. There were two communal bathrooms across the corridor which were clean and spacious also. The curtains and doors provided darkness and sound proofing which enabled me to have a great sleep after travelling. I ended staying there two nights. One guy who greated me on reception didnt speak english which would be hard for non italian speakers. But overall great stay and unexpected. cant say to much for area though. position of hotel was very easy to find (opposite main train station in the centre) but not a safe place for young single female travellers

Quedarse en este hotel da miedo... scare!... someone try to open the door of my room during the night i stay there, i dont know if was a confusion but it was not a good experience and it's very noisy, the surroundings can be dangerous for women

Be sure to program your tom tom to the correct address not Via Miano 98 as this leads you to a street called Vittorio Veneto confusing? my advice is to avoid any unnecessary driving in Naples (traffic lights are only regarded as advisory ) the hotels air conditioning was the best we had in Italy don't worry about parking there is plenty on the street outside the hotel one more tip. if your tomtom tells you to turn into some of the tiny backstreets forget it just keep to the major roads and let it recalculate the route. just one more thing, good luck!

Staff can´t speak english at all. women are not desirable, they are asked not to appear on the balcony...

Good for the price however they could do with a cleaner toilet and communal bathroom.it was in comparison to a toilet and bathroom out of a third world country.I had to use the macdonalds toilet as i found it alot more hygienic.The bathroom was disgusting but I had no other option.In terms of the hotel I would not recommend to stay if you have a problem with cigarette fumes as the whole hotel stunk of cigarettes and ended up giving me and my fiance a bad throught and nasty cough.

The room is descent and clean. The only problem was the area: large garbage bins outside the hotel window, noisy, gangs of men who use the local area to 'hang-out', and you get a great view of the prostitutes who work the street just outside the window. Did not feel safe walking the local streets and we were two young guys with decent build. Not an ideal place for a family or women to stay. But if you can put up with the latter info, go for it, the hotel is relatively cheap.
