Upon checkout the person responsible did not know how to operate the credit card machine to process the payment. Further it appeared that the machine had been problematic before.

I was a little disapointed with this hotel, although the room was clean and had facilities you'd expect, most things were either broken or looked as if they might end up that way soon! Its worth bearing in mind that this is a cheap hotel and if you budget is really tight then im sure you'd find all that you expect. However id urge you to see if you could stretch to something nicer... The area around the train station where the hotel is situated isn't that good either. I got the impression its not somewhere you'd want to be walking on your own, especially at night.

I stayed in one of the most beautiful cities of the world:NAPLES. I visited lots of places very pleasant to see and above all very famous as Sorrento, Positano, Ischia, CApri and obviously the historical centre of Naples. All these thinks were allowed thanks to the central position of the Hotel where I slept:Hotel Viola, a very nice familiar place where I met very helpful people who told me where to go and where not to go . They were a guide for me, that's the reason why I say:Thanks a lot Hotel Viola!!!!!!!

Although this facility is an older one, It seemed to be well kept. It is a family operation and the owner is a really nice guy, as is his son also. We always felt both welcome, secure, and we felt we were treated as family once we checked in. They could not have been more helpful. The hotel is not a Hilton or even a best Western but you will be made to feel at home. Isn't that what it's all about when you travel?

the surroundings are horrible and almost frightening, the photograph only shows the sign of the hotel so you can't see the rooms etc, which are disgusting especially the bathrooms which are dirty old and shabby. the towels stink, they hardly speak any language they are not welcoming or helpful and it is expensive for what they offer. i'm sure in situ they ask for a lot less per room. prostitute area. terrible experience.

Main asset is the close proximity of the railway station. The owners are friendly and helpful. The rooms facing the inner courtyard are very quiet, even more so after the recent introduction of 'air conditional'. Less experienced travellers may be alarmed by the sleazy neighbourhood, its frantic and chaotic traffic and the occasional arguments between the managment and African traders, who are regular guests of Viola. Be confident and alert, and you will start enjoying the atmosphere. The owners apparently have had bad experiences with non-paying guests and are reluctant to give give back your travelling documents after checking in. Advice: pay when checking in and insist that you get your documents back at once.

It was hotel with no services. It is very noisy in the rooms, because you can hear your room-neighbours very good. The rooms was not very clean and not very nice. This was one of the cheapest hotels in Neapel but at my next stay there I will choose a better hotel. It was really near the central bus and train station, but to town our to the harbour its a bigger distance - you can reach them only by bus.

Not sure if we had the last room in the hotel, but we were situated next to the cleaners cupboard and constantly had an overwhelming smell of cleaning products (better than a dirty smell I suppose). The room wasn't especially dirty, but was old and falling apart, so felt dirty and unwelcoming. We were booked in for bed & breakfast, and the staff were friendly enough with this, but breakfast consisted of a cup of tea/coffee and a croissant which they ran and got from the bakery over the road and put on the table in front of us in it's paper bag - personal service(!), but not what you expect!!! The area in which the hotel sits is generally grimy and full of street hawkers. I even saw a rat running down the road! Definitely wouldn't go there again - the price was cheap, but not that cheap!!!

I had to pay an extra 5 euro because it was a room with bathroom, which I thought it was anyway. Not a very nice area, extremely noisy but very convenient. As clean as can be expected from a place in need of refurbishing.

When I booked my room in Hotel Viola I didn't expect to find a so familiar atmosphere in it. I reaaly enjoyed my staying there because it is very clean and easy to reach by the beautiful historical center of Naples. Furthermore people who work there are really very nice and above all they are very helpful:they really do their best in order to make our staying in Naples as unforgettable as possible. I really suggest to book this hotel bacause I enjoyed it very much!
