The rooms were spacious. Travelling with older children it was great, they had their own room and an unsuite. The day we arrived was on a public holiday the rubbish were thrown all over the streets. Surrounding areas are very run down. Once in side the hotel it is different. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english. The breakfast was ok.

The location was excellent for using bus or train. The neighborhood was safe and we were comfortable coming back from dinner at night via bus. The bathroom is small, but adequate. Refrig in room was big asset. Breakfast was good, filling, and adequate in size. The juice and brewed coffee were excellent. The hotel is good value for the money and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to vacation in Naples area. We stayed in March, so I can't comment on the A/C.

Perfect location for a short stay in Naples if you are there for the markets and shopping. Hotel is on Cosro Umberto, but tucked a few yards off of the main street behind a small courtyard. this gives you open air and views to the street, but a nice buffer for noise.. perfect for our room, which was the top floor and had a large terrace where we had our generous breakfast (included, but I had to bring it up to the room on a tray). Hotel is about 10 minute walk to main train station, but this is a nice walk along the main shopping street (Umberto, so unless you have a lot of luggage, it is a well light, and easy stroll to the hotel. Hotel is also on the border of the Market Quadrant fo the city. This is gritty bazaar of everything from food to bicycles. Wear good walking shoes because the streets are a challenge, and look out for the crazies on their scooters, Naples is a wild and gritty place, but one of the most beautiful in Italy, and it's crime rate, while real and needing attention for pickpockets and purse snatchers, is overstated.

My 22 year old daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Suite Esedra immensely. We only wished we had planned to stay longer! It is conveniently located. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the room itself was clean and well-equiped with everything we needed. Thank you. We hope to stay there again the next time we visit Naples.

Although small, this hotel has been a good choice being in the centre of Naples, connecting very easily with the train station, bus station and the tram service. Though rooms are a little bit small, cleanliness of room and bathroom were good. With regards to the breakfast, this was good but with a small push brakfast can have a much better score. Will use this hotel again if need arises.

Good location, if you can find the hotel. It is situated back from the main street with no indication. We drove almost 2 hours before we found the hotel. Also watch your wallet. I had mine stolen and would never go back to Naples if they gave it to me for free. Skip the city. There is NO reason to go there

I had the most wonderful experience at Suite Esedra. EVERYONE was so kind and courteous. The staff paid extra attention to the fact that I was a young woman traveling alone, and gave me so many helpful suggestions. You cannot beat the price for the service, and the location is so close to many points of interest. I spent most of my vacation in Naples, and I will return to Suite Esedra in September.....I will say this: Naples is not for the faint hearted.

Only stayed one night as stopover. Good location, close enough but not too close to main station area. Walking distance to Piazza Bellini (15min). Very friendly staff, breakfast o.k. Rooms surprisingly stylish, lovely floor, bathroom, tapestry. Seems all very new and well looked after. Rooms with French bed quite small but big enough for 2 and cheaper than regular double

Engl: Excellent hotel close to the center and to the station and the two best pizzerie of Naples at 100 m. First of all, make sure your taxi actually knows where the hotel is. Ours didn't and dropped us off about four blocks in the wrong direction. Ahh, Napoli! Actually its less than 10 minutes to walk from the station. I don't like this hotel. Our room was tiny, literally just enough room to walk around the bed. We reserved the room with the 'french double' bed. This bed is not big enough for two people, I don't care what country you come from. Another problem was we could never open up our window because, if we did, we would be looking directly into the apartment across the (extremely narrow) street. I swear I could of easily jumped across to their balcony and joined them for lunch. They are also an extremely loud (lots of yelling and quarlling) family. It was depressing. And the worst was the scooter-gang of about 15-20 teenagers who would hang out in front of the hotel racing around the building in circles yelling and cursing all night long (past 1am). The Hotel staff did nothing about this. We stayed a long four nights! Naples is great but, find a better hotel, or at least pay less somewhre else. This was not worth the money. One positive note, a block away you can eat the best and most famous pizza in Naples.

This isn't the best part of town to stay but its within walking distance of most things to see. The hotel is great - comfortable and clean - good sound proofing on windows. If you are coming from the Station - take a bus - its only 1 euro. The cab ride takes i minute and is 10 euros The buses in Naples are quite good - the underground is ok (modern) but doesn't cover wide areas of the city. Unfoortunately two of the 3 funiculars were out of action for maintenance. A word of warning for those thinking of visting Naples in August - dont bother - virtually everything is closed for the whole of August. Rome is a far better bet for a cheap stay in August - if you can stand the heat.

The hotel was beautiful, but not in the best area of town. it was a little longer to the train station than we were led to believe by the map. We had to leave early in the morning and at 5:30 am. I went to the Venus suite where the kids were staying and found that it was flooded by a torrent of water coming from the bathroom ceiling. They were not able to take showers and we had four teenagers trying to quickly use our room so we wouldn't be late for our train. I have emailed the staff at the hotel for some type of accomdation for our inconvenience, but have not heard from them. I guess they are not interested in return business.

The Suite Esedra was great! The staff were all very nice and accomodating- we came in with an extra person and they were more than generous about giving us a 3 person room. The room (Villa Jovis)was beautiful and large. Seperate air conditioning units for each room, two bathrooms, and a marble staircase! The hotel is right off a main drag, so it's close to many sites and eateries. Of all the hotels that we looked at in Naples, many were above the price that we were qupted for here, but were older properties, and closer to the "dreaded" Piazza Garibaldi. We highly recommend this hotel. We hope to return to Naples soon, and would definately stay here again.

If you like quiet nights, this hotel is not for you. Not only the traffic, but it seemed as if a number of young people liked to hang around outside the hotel (and all rooms face out to the main road) until late at night. The breakfast was adequate, the rooms clean, the mini-bar cheap. The room I stayed in was expensive, but apparently hotel rooms in Naples are generally expensive. The staff spoke English and were polite enough. If I go back to this part of the world, I would be tempted to stay in Sorrento which was a lot quieter.

A very lovely decorated hotel! Staff is lovely and very helpfull (they even give you tips for restaurants etc without the guest asking for it). Location is near the Stazione Centrale, not the best area of Naples, but very convenient for public transport. And we stayed there for 5 nights and had no trouble at all in the surroundings of the hotel. So the location should never be a reason not to stay here. What you get is a lovely room, nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Excellent choice!

Overall, I had a great experience at the hotel, but it was due to an error. I booked a room (single room), but was mistakenly given the best room in the hotel (a suite located on the top floor with a beautiful terrace). So it is difficult to honestly rate the hotel, as I paid less than would normally be charged for the best room.
