Good hotel, but certainly not up to the supposed 4 star standard! In fact they added a fourth one, and the keys clearly show it was originally a 3 star hotel. Anyway the room is rather good, the breakfast was really average (this is the only hotel where the coffee is made by an automatic machine, and clearly not good). If you plan to visit Herculanum, Pompei and the Vesuvio, you'd better stay in the eastern part of Napoli for shorter travel time every morning.

San Paolo Hotel is a very nice hotel. I stayed there with a car and found it well located to drive to Sorrento, and to go to Pompeii. It was a bit more difficult to go to Capri as we had to park in the city centre and this was costly and a bit more difficult. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. There were no language problems as they spoke very good english. I was initially a bit apprehensive about the way the area looked. There is a lot of grafiti and it is a not a posh neighborhood. We tried the a local restaurant and the local gelateria and enjoyed both very much. You'll need to speak a bit of Italian to really be conformable in the area.

The Hotel is fine. The only problem is that it is not at all in the center and it is far from public transport. So go only if you have a car.

Nice rooms, good service, pity about the location. It's in a bad part of Naples, not close to the city centre, and you have to negotiate a bus and a train to get in to town.

the hotel was nice the area the hotel was in wasnt. It was 45 min away from napoli centrale the central train station. It was also 30 minutes away from the port. The people werent all to friendly in the area around the hotel but it was worth it to go to capri which was 3 buses just to get to the port. Overall though the hotel was nice.

The staff was very rude...they acted as if we were bothing them when we checked in or just asking a question. The neighborhood was not close to the train station as promised on the web sight. I would never stay here again.

We did not understand from the website that this hotel was way out of the ciy limits. Other than being in an inconvenient place for our purposes, the price was right except that it was quite pricey taking taxis, or, the alternative, quite time consuming taking the local buses to the trains.
