Hotel San Giorgio - Naples

One particular staff member is unwelcoming and when I was unexpectedly asked for an extra charge for taxes turned quite rude and argumentative. The area is dirty with shifty looking people, but so is the whole city. However, for the price, in expensive Italy I would say it is worth it, clean towels every other day, walking distance to sights, good breakfast.

Fair accommodation for area, generous breakfast, good value for prices asked

Room is small, bathroom is full of fungi. Personal is very unfriendly, unhelpful. No WIFI for free in the rooms, have to use their computer, which is limited on 15 minutes per day (recommended). The location is ok, close to the railway station, so there are a lot of foreigners, poor people, some junkies.. Actually i find the HOTEL ok for the price but they definitely should change the personal. when you go to the breakfast, they don't even say "good morning" to you but are hiding from you instead. They really seem to hate their job, therefore you can not have a good start into your day.. They always seemed to be in a hurry, no smiling at all! When I asked them for more bread, the waiter didn't even stop walking while I was talking to him. The people in the reception were unfriendly, either, unfortunately. When we where leaving the hotel to go to the city, the concierge only said "key!" cause we forgot to leave them... Instead of saying "Execuse me, could you please give me the key of your room!". I'm totally disappointed about the behavior of the personal. But I'm quite sure that the boss won't care about that, because he (I guess it was him, a guy in a white shirt who didn't seem to be doing anything but walking around) wasn't saying "hello", too!!! Ff you don't care about that and are only searching a cheap hotel, go ahead! Otherwise I recommend any bed and breakfast.. We were travelling around in Italy for 2 weeks, visited a lot of B&B and hotels and each of them was fantastic! Espacially the personal was sooo nice & helpful! Except this one!

The rooms are clean, the breakfast sufficient. Hotel close to transportation. Stuff offered wine for New Years Eve. Room cleaned next day of arrival. Safe area but not the best to choose. Not things to see in walking distance. The room has no carpets (important for Christmas time), no quilt just two - 1 person - blankets for a double bed. You have to leave your key in reception upon departure and take it back upon arrival.

Hotel location good for access but very dirty and unpleasant area. Breakfast at hotel was boring and no real choice, bar facilities poor. Reception staff were helpful.

As a single traveler, and female, this hotel is fine. Inside it is clean, they offer breakfast in the morning and free internet there in the lobby. The only negative and it is not the hotel's fault, it is the surrounding area, it is convenient to the train station and walking distance to the "city site seeing" tour bus but the area there is dirty, can be dangerous if you are not aware of your surroundings, but overall I did fine, I was just not out late, especially alone. So I would stay here again, now that I know how the city of Naples itself is, it is just conveniently located to the train station.

Very close to the train station ,vary handy for a 1 night stop.Staff friendly , the only negative aspect is the breakfast : poor quality .

San Giorgio is located 7 min from Naples Termini and 3 min from Garibaldi bus station. Services provided was very good. San Giorgio provides the good Breakfast. Its a one the best hotel for Family accomodation and good value for money.

Difficult to find from train station

The breakfast was very average and they constantly ran out of hot food and fruit. We gave up and bought breakfast. Close to the train station, but just not easy to find.

Hotel is very close to Train Station and to many buses, so there is no problems with getting to the sightseeing places. But as all hotels that are close to stations, the surrounding area is not very clean and nice. Hotel offers pretty good and friendly service: our room was pretty spacious (by European standards), with fridge and the good size bathroom; guys in reception helped us to find good transportation to all places we wanted to see; breakfast was maybe not too diverse, but good enough to fuel us up to lunch (croissants, cheese, two kinds of cold cut meat, cereal, yogurt, etc). We think we got exactly what we paid for and what we expected to get.
