The hotel is beautiful, a little obscure to find but most taxis get you there. Staff were very obliging in organising a hotel pick-up for an excursion to Capri. Our day there included a guide, lunch and a boat trip to the Blue Grotto; better than organising it yourself! Location is excellent for restaurants, shopping. Good breakfast, clean rooms.

An incredible oasis of quiet in Napoli. We have stayed in many hotels in this city. We were really enjoying our stay in Palazzo Alabardieri. Good breakfast, helpful staff and very elegant interior design.

As the guide books say, it is very well located in a safe, bustling neighborhood, yet very quiet as it sits behind a courtyard. My room had no view but a small terrace which would have been used more if it weren't January. Breakfast was excellent, maybe the best I've had in Italy over 8 trips. The lobby is very attractive, and there is a large sitting room, off the lobby, with daily newspapaers. There are very good restaurants in the area, including Umberto's which is literally 50 meters away. The largest bookstore in the city is just across the street, Feltrinelli, as well as some very high end stores, like Armani, Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo. I would definitely stay here if I returned to Naples.

The hotel room was amazing. The bathroom was huge and the tub, relaxing. The SKY tv was a great surprise. Good for entertainment before bed. I really liked this hotel and would definitely go back.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Neaples. It is small and they are no restaurants in the Hotel. Breakfast is nice and the rooms are clean. You don' t have any wiew because the hotel was a convent before. The best thing of the Hotel is the location you just walk out and you will find some good small tipical restaurants, for example Umberto, fantastic tipical restaurant.

This lovely small hotel is well-situated in a upscale part of Naples. Good restaurants are within walking distance,as well as the harbor and excellent shopping on a pedestrian street. The wonderful Archeological Museum is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a smart hotel in Naples. I really didn´t like Naples so I had to mark down the surroundings, although I think this hotel might be in the best area of Naples. I also had to give a poor mark for service because they didn´t have an iron available. However, the room was nice and clean with a lovely bathroom. Although I don´t ever plan to return to Naples, I would stay in this hotel again.

Great hotel in a good location. It was away from the historical centre, but that was good, since it meant that the surroundings were quieter and seemed friendlier. The only suggestion for improvement I would have for the hotel is to improve the quality of their breakfasts. The hot plates for scrambled eggs and other items were rarely checked by the attendants, and did not seem to be refilled, so the only options that you often had was to take fragments of burnt eggs or the last little pieces of bacon swimming in oil at the bottom of the tray, or skip the hot food section altogether. Otherwise, however, service was exemplary -- very friendly, helpful and courteous. Buy the "Artecard" from the hotel reception, which gives you free entries to museums, etc, and more importantly, free unlimited public transport.

Very nice hotel with helpful staff situated in good area of Naples.Photos provided online fairly represented what was on offer. Our mini suite while spacious could have benefited from extra light with better windows. The provision of restaurant/cafe facilities throughout the day would enhance the overall enjoyment of stay at an otherwise very pleasant hotel.

Hotel Palazzo Alabardieri was an oasis of tranquility from the chaotic city outside the entry of the Hotel. The staff was professional and helpful and arranged a personal tour of Pompei and Ercolano that made our investigation of the archeological ruins even better than we expected. We were bumped up into an even better suite with 2 twin beds, a sitting area, a full bathroom and a jacuzzi tub while the rate was reduced by 20 euro. I have never paid "less" than the approved rate for more and was thrilled at how beautiful our room actually was. The breakfast provided had quite a variety of quality breads, nuts, cheese, meats, cereals, eggs, fresh fruit and of course, coffee or tea. Even though we found Naples to be a crazy city with very rough areas, our hotel was in a nice location and certainly reflected the very best of the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Napoli (Naples) and would definately warn any visitor that staying right near the train station would be a a mistake as it was even filthier there than anywhere else.

Just spent three days at the Alabardiere and was thrilled with the hotel. The front desk could not have been more helpful -- particularly Pascuale. The room was lovely and quiet and the bathroom was modern. The location of the hotel is ideal -- close to palazzo plebescito and interesting sites in Naples.

Hotel was walking distance to plenty of restaurants. I felt safe walking around at night. There was plenty of shopping available. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful (Especially Pascuale. He was the best!) He recommended plenty of things to do and places to eat. We stayed there a week.

Although we liked our experience at the hotel, we were disappointed with the city of Naples. It was very dirty and expensive compared to other cities in Italy. Only complaint about the hotel is that there was some congress going on the day of our arrival so the lobby was inundated with people. Doesn't seem like the hotel has enough room for hosting large events without them overflowing to the lobby.

Naples as a whole city was a bit of a dump, but the hotel was in the nicest location of the city. A short walk to the boardwalk on the water that was full or restaurants. The hotel was beautiful and had every possible ammenity. We would highly reccommend it!

This is a really nice hotel in a great location. The streets around are similar to the streets around Covent Garden in London or the Brera in Milan - small, cobbled and filled with boutiques in the day and bars and restaurants at night. But you are only a short walk away from the sea and a slightly longer stroll back into the main part of town (by the opera house). If you want designer shopping Emporio Armani is opposite the front door and Prada two minutes away.

Nice, well maintained hotel with all the amenities you can expect for a four stars hotel. It is located in a charm and safe area with easy access to transportation. People at the front desk gave us the impression of being uncomfortable doing their job and weren't cooperative, even with the basics (i.e. providing info on public transportation which, by the way run two blocks from the hotel). Before our arrival, we have arranged with the hotel concierge (Luigi) for transportation from the train station to the hotel. Nobody showed-off. When we asked him for an explanation, he attempted to look surprised and did not provide us any explanation nor an apology. (by the way, the taxi charged us 10 EU and the price quoted by the concierge was 25 EU). Since that unfortunated experience we avoid using further the concierge services for the rest of our activities while in Naples.

This is one of the best hotels that we have ever been in, anywhere! Beautifully situated off a wonderful little Piazza (dei Martiri) and only a short three block walk to the Naples waterfront and the Villa Communale. Nearby are some lovely trattoria's and restaurants (you must try Da Umberto's,a few steps from the hotel)and very elegant clothing stores, etc. The hotel staff were wonderful and helped us with anything we needed, including getting us a wonderful driver/guide (ask reception to hook you up with Antonio!)for a day trip to the Amalfi Coast. The breakfast that is included in the room rate is incredible - fantastic warm Neopolitan pastries, local cheeses and salami's, coffee made to order at your request (espresso, capuccino, etc), cereals, fruits, juices, not to mention all the makings for an American breakfast too (eggs, bacon et al....) We encourage everyone who is thinking of travelling to Naples to do two things: first, stay in Naples (the coastal towns are lovely and worth a day or two, but if you don't spend at least 4 or 5 days in Naples you are missing out on experiencing one of the most vibrant cities in the world; two, when in Naples, stay at the Palazzo Alarbardieri, and you will not be disappointed - it is Naples' best hotel!!!

I have traveled to Naples once a year for the last four years and this is the best hotel I have stayed at and the one I will recommend for all my associates. The location was in a great area, and the staff were very accomodating, helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was spacious, quite clean and quiet. I highly recommend the Hotel Palazzo Albardieri to everyone visiting Naples and plan to use this hotel for all future visits.

My husband and I flew in and out of Naples, staying here one night each way and so enjoyed the quality, comfort and very hospitable service. The hotel has a very lovely and charming decor and brightened up Naples, as Naples itself can be quite gray and dirty. We would certainly return to Palazzo Alabardieri as well as recommend it to friends. We also liked the close location to the harbor because we hydrofoiled to Sorrento (a lovely way to get there!) and its proximity to the walking streets for shopping. A lovely start and finish to our Amalfi Coast vacation!

Probably the most quiet hotel one can find in Napoli, well situated in the centre, very clean and comfortable rooms, bathroom quite new (the hotel opened one year ago), fantastic service, staff extremely nice, friendly and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. I was there with my family + baby and couldn't imagine a better place to stay. Only, there is no sea-view, but one can't have everything.
