Great hotel! Superb location on the coast, very safe. Staff are extremelly helpful and make you feel home! They also have couple of restaurants they recommend, which are close and very good. An insider tip - if you have a hire car from Europcar, you don't pay for the parking.

Very kind and helpful staff. I could change to a seefront room which was excellent although of course a bit noisy, but this was well balanced against a spectacular view of the Vesuv. Wonderful breakfast on the rooftop again with a beautiful view.

This is the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed. I requested a NON-smoking room twice in writing. They do not have non-smoking rooms, nor did they bother to tell me. My room REEKED of smoke & I had to change to a smaller one. I also called ahead to tell them that I would have a vehicle to put in their garage; I described the size, make, and model of the car. They quoted me a price of 18 euros. When I arrived, they told me that it would be 35 euros. When I checked out, I actually had to HAGGLE with them & ended up paying 25 euros, because they said that the man who quoted me over the phone misunderstood me (even though I speak Italian quite well & spoke to him in Italian). I finally just paid more so that I could get my car back (30 minutes later than I had requested it be returned). My room had a hole in it, going to the alley outside. A large hole. One that a child could easily fit through. I asked them to close it & seal it up. They put 3 strips of scotch tape over it. I spent my entire night afraid of some gypsy child breaking in and robbing me. I actually rigged up breakable items over the hole, hoping that if someone broke in, they might knock something down and wake me up, at least. They also turned the air conditioning off from either 12:00 or 1:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. This is a common scam by hotels in Italy to save money. I do not expect it, however, when I am paying 150 euros per night for a single. I spent the night sweating in my bed & very uncomfortable. The following day, I asked them to keep my bag during the day while I was out (after check-out). I also asked them to put my new laptop (2300 euros) in the safe. When I arrived to pick them up, my overnight bag was sitting out in the lobby & my laptop was just behind the desk, where anyone could have grabbed either of them. The breakfast, by the way, was also terrible. The hotel, the quality, and the service where all absolutely horrible & I will NEVER return to it.

I cannot offer enough praise for this hotel - it was without question the best we stayed in during our recent travels around Italy! We were given a free upgrade to a room with a view over the Bay of Naples which was a delightful surprise. Everything was wonderful - from the breakfasts on the roof terrace to the chocolate and the next day's weather forecast on the pillow in the evening. The staff were incredibly helpful - even giving us an umbrella when we went out one evening because they knew that it would rain. I will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

This was our third trip to this wonderful city and our third stay at the Miramare, and we enjoy it more each time. This lovely and classic small hotel is in the perfect location for visiting the major sites, for shopping or for just enjoying the perfect view of the harbor and Vesuvius. The owner, Mr. Rossolino, and his very capable staff and charming family welcome you warmly and make sure your stay is memorable. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is extensive and fresh. The family also owns several excellent restaurants nearby. And Naples is clean and as beautiful and exciting as ever. Don't miss it!
