This is not really a 4 star hotel, this is not the usual standard for Mercure hotels. To save money the management cut automaticaly the air-cooling in the room between 2 and 14h even if the weather was quite hot.The hotel is well located but surrondings are durty and there is no many restaurant.

I booked a room at Mercure Angioino at a the special not refundable rate of 79 euros for a double room no breakfast. That wwas an excellent rate for a 4 star. If a contintental breakfast could be included in the price that would be nice from the Mercure chain too. Staff was nice and helpful. Hotel is well connected from the Central Station by bus no. R2 and it is located in a nice area of town close to Piazza Municipio and Castel Nuovo. Excellent to tour Naples. Location was safe also at night time. I will go back again.

Hotel was in good location , very close to Molo Beverello from where you can take the ferries to Capri and Ischia. Also you can walk to the main places in the center. Room was ok ( space ),could have been a little more clean, breakfast was very good. The only problem we had ,was a noise from a machine ( aircondition)that was coming in our room, perhaps not in other rooms.

We looked at many locations before booking, and considering the proximity to the harbour and centre of town, and in a safer part of town, this seemed was good value.

We loved the mozarella cheese at breakfast buffet. I dream about it everyday! The rooms were great. The location is very good for Naples: next to the port and to buses that take you to the airport or central station.

Good location in order to ship to capri or to go to Costiera Amalfitana, sites much nore interesting. Naples is caotic, but the hotel is a little over standard.

I found just one missing point on this hotel. There's no restaurant there. Arriving late in the evening and asking for something to eat, there was almost nothing of the items offered and displayed in the room and in the lift. There was no space where to eat. It was only offered to bring something in the room. Therefore my conclusion is not suitable for children or for famliies, as there is not a so good service about this aspect.

Very well located. Easy to find , close to several restaurants and of the Castel Nuovo and the Palazzo Reale. Breakfast is great and wine selection at the bar is very good.

The twin bed room we were given was a little bit small though big enough taking into account we were out most of the time, visiting Naples,Pompei and Vesubio volcano. By the way, if you intend to visit the Vesubio be warned about the strong wind you could find near the summit, nowbody warns you about that.

Everything was all right. I only found the price a little high. I think I’ll look for the same hotel for a future holiday in Naples.

This hotel is great stay at if you're just passing thru. It's clean and the staff is very helpful w/ cab service and directions. My wife and I chose this hotel because the rate was reasonable it was convenient for us to get to the airport the next day. Rooms are small but clean. The only recommendation I would give is to let the staff call you a cab because those cab drivers in Naples will rip you off.

The breakfast buffet could be improved (fresh fruit, cerials, etc). Though we stayed the night before as a member of a travel group, nevertheless we had to check in again, even presenting our id card a second time.

Carpet in rooms not adapted in town as dirty and hot as Naples...where floors are usually desinfected in private houses everyday. Mercure should know better ! Thus, bad dirty carpet-smell in rooms. Did not dare put my feet on carpet. The rest clean, but windows & walls very dirty. Very small room. Employees absolutely charming & ready to help, please forward them my thanks. ! Type of holidays : leisure and not health as you questionnaires keeps writing.

We found the hotel really easily. Caught the Alibus from the airport and got off at the bus station, not train station, then a quick walk round the corner. Note where you get off as you can catch the bus from this point when you go home and not have to go to the train staion as you may read. The bus journey certainly prepares you for the madness of Napoli motorists! The hotel is situated on a large wide road but the sound proofing is excellent open the doors noisy, close them and you can only hear the air conditioning (and we can speak from experience as during our stay there was 4 hours of celebration for beating Ecuador in the world cup and the cars were out in force with flag waving and air horns going off into the night. We watched from our balcony which incidently we had requested on our booking request together with a no smoking room on an upper floor. All of which we got. The staff were more than helpful, they secured a massive discount on the use of a driver for the day to take us to Pompeii and Vesuvius by Taxi, enabling us to do both in one day and avoiding the trials of hot railways (it was 40 degrees when we were there. Turn right as you go out of the Hotel and right again and there is a very good restaurant (you can see it out of the Lounge/Bar window. get a good map and in 4/5 days you can cover the whole city plus the big sights of Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri. Do the museum after Pompeii, it makes more sense that way. The Hotel is really well situated and we loved it. The great weather always helps

Very nice holtel. The ideal hotel to use if you are traveling from the harbour the next day, only a couple of minutes by foot away. Fifteen minute cab ride away from Naples train station. Room in the hotel was nice, not too expensive, and the breakfast was very good also. Surroundings was the only setback. Difficult to find restaurants, and a lot of traffic surrounding the hotel. I would use the hotel again.

The hotel is in very good location, opp of the bus station, close to the Marina Grand (which take ferry to the islands). No view for the hotel, but the location is much better than close to the rail station. Staff are helpful and it is a valuable hotel for staying in naples

Quite expensive for what it is but in a good location.Bus stop opposite but many attractions such as the old town walkable. Some reasonable restaurants nearby plus shops. The hotel ordered our taxi to the airport at a very good price -16 euros. It will be very much better when the metro is completed as the stop is very near.

good quality vs price. nothing to complain about the rooms : spacious enough, quiet, clean and comfortable. the lobby may need some fresh redesigning. good breakfast (except stale scrambled eggs) but 10 am is a little bit early as last breakfast call for late sleepers. location is excellent, very central, close to the sea and shopping streets, midway beetween old naples and chiaia district, but too bad the hotel does not have a side facing the sea. overall, recommended, for its fairly good quality for a fairly good rate.

Reception staff really friendly and helpful; breakfast staff slightly less so. Room was very good, slightly on warm side, even in November; dark red wallpaper and big curtains etc made room seem a bit dark though. Hotel really convenient for shuttle bus from the airport which terminates just about 100 metres away round the corner and also close to port if you want to go to islands or further afield by ship.

overall we were very satisfied with the hotel and pleased with the room cleaning service (clean towels etc every day). The only dissapointment was the inroom tv entertainment system if you wanted to watch anything in English other than the news you had to pay for it. The hotel offered a very good taxi service to and from the airport at good rates!

Naples. What more can you say. We were only in Naples for one night. Hotel is in a SAFER part of town. Close to Via Toledo for shopping. Hotel bar is emaculate. Big screen TV. Excellent for taking in an Azzuri victory.

Its affordable (for Naples), clean, central and apart from having to cross the road outside of the hotel safe. The restuarants and bars are a little bit fo a walk away, but everything else including the port for the ferry's around the coast are right next door. The airport bus droped us off on the next block over. If you are looking for an affordable central location in Naples for a couple of days stop over you could do a lot worse.

the hotel was perfect for our threee day stay in naples. everything is at your fingertips. the port is a five minute walk, the restaurants in the area were plentiful. the overall experience was quite good. we are planning to return in 2 years, and we will stay at the mercure angioino again. the staff were helpful, pleasant and quite friendly.

The position of the hotel is good, stricly near 'Maschio Angioino' and the harbour, you can go for a walk around all the main places. In your room at least one thing will not work fine, but everything is clean and air conditioning isn't noisy. There isn't a restourant but the breakfast is good. If you want a place where you can just sleep, this is your hotel.

Excellent breakfast. It would be helpful if the web site explained that a double room means one large bed. We had an adult and a child and actually needed two twin beds. We did communicate with the site directly but there was still confusion. And when we arrived there, the front desk staff were more likely to argue than to be helpful. We asked for a cot, which they said was not available. Meanwhile, there was a cot in the closet opposite our room all night. They did finally change one of the rooms.
