Hotel tutto sommato accogliente. reception e sala per colazione ridottissime, stanze sufficentemente ampie, luminose,ma piuttosto rumorose. biancheria da letto un pò usurata. il personale è gentile e disponibile, ma se volete un po di vita serale, dovete spostarvi altrove. qui dopo le 8 di sera non si trova neanche un bar aperto. comodo per chi arriva in treno e vuole spostarsi sia in taxi sia con mezzi pubblici. valutando il costo contenuto direi che il rapporto qualità prezzo è buono.

Hotel Garibaldi is an excellent value! The room was the nicest we stayed in of our 4 Italian destinations and was half as expensive as other, lesser hotels. The reception was very friendly and they parked our car for us (as we were done driving in Naples at that point)! Decent breakfast, location right next to the train station (although a 10 block or so walk to the next closest attractions). Very safe, clean and friendly.

really really good value for money. staff very helpful. room clean and relatively spacious. spacious bathroom (for italy), with excellent shower - hot, lots of water pressure. if you need a place to crash in naples for a few nights, hotel garibaldi is a good choice.

Hotel Garibaldi is right next to the train station and is a good place to stay for one night while in transit. It is not fancy, it located on a street with a daily market and the street is extremely dirty and noisy secondary to that. However it is wonderful to arrive in Naples and be able to walk to the hotel. There is the #1 pizzeria within walking distance (da Michelle) and its within walking distance of the Museum. I would not want to stay here for more than one night as the rooms although clean, were not particulary nice. In fact our bathroom, although large it had a funky smell that we disliked. Compared to other hotels we found this hotel was probably the least liked, however suited its purpose of an overnight stay for a low price (50E), we did not have breakfast included and did not try the breakfast bar. I would say that although Naples is dirty, crime ridden, and noisy....it is a fun place to stop for a day. The streets are very narrow, alive with movement, and its just a very different city compared to everything else we saw.

This hotel is well worth while. The staff were all very helpful and could direct us to a fantastic restaurant nearby. The room was clean and spacious, with an excelent bathroom. The breakfast was more than sufficient.

Hotel was fine - just off Piazza Garibaldi so very central. Very noisy at night and there was a market right outside the hotel on the Sunday - glad I brought some earplugs!

The hotel itself was very lovely. The staff was helpful and nice. One of the best services I've encountered and the rooms were very clean and spacious. If this hotel was in another area, I would not hesitate to stay there again. However, it is located in the heart of a swap meet type of business, very busy, very noisy, incredibly crowded! It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, very convenient, but the neighborhood is not very nice. I would be scared to walk alone at night.

Confortable rooms with good furniture and good bathrooms (excepted the one for disabled persons, which floods with every shower) which includes bidet. Rooms are in a tall first floor without elevator, but personnel is very helpful in carrying luggage upstairs. All persons working in this place have an excellent disposition towards helping guests. Very good relationship between price and quality. The fair in the surroundings have very convenient prices, although people have to be aware about being cheated. I would go back to this hotel indeed.

Hotel looks very nice from outside and inside. Rooms were very clean and service in total was really good.Manager of the hotel was very kind and helpfull , also he provide us a lot of usefull informations. During my 10 day visit of Italy and going in couple of hotels , when i analyze what value i got for my money , this hotel was far the best. My honest reccomandation to everybody who going to visit Naples.

Clean comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location near station so handy for many attractions. Station area is unsavoury but no worse than any other big city. There is a market held everyday(?) in the street outside the hotel. This is a bit daunting when you first arrive but doesn't really cause any problems. Would definitely recommend this hotel for comfort and helpfulness.

We were staying over one night en route for Positano. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything in the room was fine. The breakfast room was nicely situated, with view of the street market outside. All in all, just the job! Many thanks

Nice hotel, nice people. Directly opposite front door of railroad station past the statue. Area is dark at night. There is a street market outside the front door in the morning.Good restaurants nearby, Good access to public transportation.

the breakfast was the worst, one day they have finished the orange juice.. but was acceptable. It is an accetable hotel according with its price, but the surroundings, very near to garibaldi station are rather agly and dirty. The bus is almost at the door hotel.

Ok value for money. Very central location, close the Garibaldi station. The area is quite run down - the streets are full of garbage. The staff were friendly, but provided little useful information. When asked about daytrips to the Amalfi coast, the front desk clerk offered instead to take us in his own car - for 150 Euros. Poor breakfast - you might as well skip it or just go for the espresso and view of the market in front of the hotel. A clean and quiet place - aircondition a plus!

If you can ignore the neighborhood, you can't beat this hotel for price and quality. It isn't in the best neighborhood, but it is close to the train station and other public transportation. And it did have A/C, although no Internet like I thought it advertised. Plus they couldn't find us a remote that worked for the TV. Otherwise, a nice modern facility.

Charming hotel, in a busy market street which make you feel straigt away in the so typical Napolitan atmosphere. Clean and quiet, good value for money, what could I ask more?

Un ambiente molto bello,la camera era molto confortevole spaziosa e pulita.Lo staff molto cortese.L'unica cosi in cui non sono rimasto del tutto soddisfatto è la prima colazione che per un hotel è molto importante come servizio da offrire ai clienti.

The accomodations are conveniently located by bus and main station. Rooms are clean and sound proof. The proprietors are extremely friendly and accomodating. Would definitely go back.

The hotel was very good, but the Piazza Garibaldi in Naples is not very clean.

Travelled with my mother and younger brother. Owner of hotel hit-on and attempted to pick my mother (including telephoning her room at night) up on not less than 4 occasions - in spite of her protests. She felt very uneasy. Just a sleezebag, I suppose - puts a real dampener on the stay. Hotel was lovely, but in a bad area. All in all, cannot recommend it sadly becasue of Owner's poor behaviour.

The hotel is excellent, but there is a little bit more noise. It can not be otherwise. The railway station is close to the hotel. But I liked this hotel, because it's called Garibaldi, and that's very famous person in my country. Thanks

Hotel situated in Railway station area, with a streetmarket in fron of hotel, (which starts to be built up at 04.00 am in the morning and very, very nisoy. Lots of trash (from the preceeding marekt) in front of hotel. Apart from this - Hotel better then surroundings, generallly -medium quality

Hotel was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and clean, small, but not cramped--- and I was alone, so it was fine. Very central location for buses, trains, and touring. Very active street market, but safe and friendly. Had a great stay. Would definitely recommend, and would stay there again.

The Hotel is close to the train and bus stations and it is very convenient if you want to visit Pompei or some others place. It is in front of "Mercato della Duchessa", very popular and authentic Naples market (and very noisy!! almost 24 hours a day), and keep yours eyes open (so, be careful walking around ....). The service is good and friendly (Ask Mario to taste his wonderful Lachryma Christi wine). The price is so so , but the hotel is brand new , they finished the renovation in November 2003. So, have a good trip and a good stay.
