Hotel Crispi - Naples

Excellent value for money, clean rooms, helpful staff. Be aware they don't speak English but that didn't hinder us at all. Not far from metro station, and close to top of main shopping street. Near sea front too.

I was in Naples just for a couple of days attending a wedding ceremony. I was looking for a cheap property near by the Vomero area which is one of the safest areas in Naples. I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel 'cause of the star rating and the price, but I would say that despite the room condition (the bathroom needs some work)the lady at the reception was great: she was extremely kind with me and very helpful. I would highly recommend this property to NOT sophisticated young and single people staying in Naples just for one or two nights. The hotel is walking distance from the subway and the funicolare. Ten minutes away from the seaside.

The hotel is close to a metro station in a good area. Unfortunately there is a lot of traffic on the street in front of the hotel day and night. Breakfast is poor: a sandwich in plastic and some coffee is served in the room on demand.

The location is very good, the staff is very friendly (it is more like a bed&breakfast; it's a couple who does everything, they have no staff as far as I've noticed) There are some downsides however. For one, the owners do not speak English, although they speak a bit of French, which was helpful. When you want to have some quiet rest during the day/early evening you'll have to tell them, since they sit downstairs all day with the television playing very loud. Furthermore, breakfast is included, but you'll have to ask for it in the morning, and they will bring it to your room (common Italian breakfast, a mini roll with chocolate, prefabricated toast with coffee; cafe latte). Other downside: internet was supposed to be included, but it wasn't available. If you're going to Napoli to just enjoy the city, this is a nice hotel in a good and safe neighborhood; close to the metro, and not too expensive (although in fact I've stayed in Rome in cheaper hotels, in Naples you don't want to be in a bad neighborhood.)

The hotel staff were very welcoming and always prepared to make an extra effort. The room was comfortable and well kept. The bathroom was rather cramped. The location is only ten minutes walk from metro and furnicular connections and from many good and varied shops. An excellent and cheap restaurant, serving very large portions, is immediately across the road. This is good, basic accomodation at an economic price, which was exactly what I required.

Giovanni was a great help hooking my LT up to the wireless. Hotel is situated near the real old Naples, lots of cosy restaurants nearby.

Nice place in an excellent area very near from a metro stop.

We (three friends, girls) visited Naples in the middle of october. The hotel is located in the best area in Naples. It is located in the street with many ambassies so it is very safe. Heard a lot how dangerous it is in Naples but did not feel it at all. But as i told the hotel is located in the best and respectable area. Everything is very near, metro station 5 min walk from the hotel. Shoping starts almost from the hotel door. The hotel is small with only few rooms but it is very cosy and we felt like at home. Rooms are big. We went from room to room without shoes as it was very clean. Was very nice that the owner of the hotel spoke very good english so it was no problem with communication. And perfect service! We were even droven by the owner of the hotel to Pompei when we told that we dont know how to come there. Breakfast is simple but enough to start the day. And you get it in the room. The street where the hotel is located is small so it is rather quiet at night. The only one minus was the shower. If we showered at the same time in our rooms you could suddenly get cold water. But it was just a small thing in comparison to the rest. So we can advise this hotel without any problem. And if you want to live in the middle of the city for low price and not to be afraid to go outside in the evening so just book this hotel! I am sure you will be satisfied. Next time we for sure will book the same hotel.

L'hotel Crispi è situato in un posto davvero strategico,nel centro di napoli,ad un passo dall'area commerciale di via dei mille e dei famosi baretti e collegato benissimo con metro e funicolari a stazione,aeroporto,imbarco per le isole,centrostorico,musei,decumani e collina del vomero.posizione migliore non potrebbe avere.le stanze sono incredibilmente grandi e confortevoli,nonostante si tratti di un piccolo albergo a gestione quasi familiare. ed è proprio il rapporto familiare con il personale,allo stesso tempo,selezionatissimo e professionale che lo rende eccellente ed al di sopra della media degli alberghi di pari categoria.il mio soggiorno è stato idilliaco,sono stato coccolato e trattato con i guanti.Il sig.Gianni non mi ha fatto mancare niente ed altrettanto cordiali sono stati il sig. Gino e la sig.ra Giovanna.indimenticabile in fine il caffè napoletano della sig.ra Bruna. dieci sotto tutti gli aspetti. ci tornerò senz'altro.Napoli è straordinaria, ci ho lasciato un pezzo di cuore edevo tornare a riprenderlo, forse se avessi dormito altrove non l'avrei apprezzata così. grazie,grazie,grazie
