The hotel offers pick-up at Naples airport, but the only vehicle available was tiny with virtually no trunk space. So we had to carry most of our luggage on our laps. The hotel interior looks quite nice but the small room smelled of sewage underneath an attempt to cover it with a cheap deodorant. The minuscule shower was so narrow that it was not possible to move inside the doors. There was nowhere nearby to eat in the early evening so we walked through trash-laden streets to a business area to which we had been sent by the staff to find an agreeable pizzeria. The staff, by the way, was always friendly, helpful and courteous

This hotel is located directly on a busy main road, on the S3 airport bus route, about mid-way between the airport and the railway termini. City buses pass every 2-3 mins, going into the city centre, stopping just 100 M down the hill from the Hotel. Buses coming out from the city stop right outside the hotel door... (note - buses do not take money in napoli - you have to buy tickets prior to boarding from a local tobacco / paper shop) The reception and public areas are A1, there are papers and tourist publications available, and a small, cosy bar area serving excellent coffee and a range of alcoholic drinks The rooms are similarly very clean, and also comfortable with personal remote controlled air conditioning units that can cool the rooom in about 3 mins... The young, professional, mainly english speaking staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent quakity complimentary tea and coffee were offered to us on arrival. Right next door there is a small bar/shop selling water, snacks and bus tickets. The hotel was extremely secure at night - a concierge was on duty and would not admit until guest names had been checked. Similar security levels were extended to vehicles - with a secure parking garage below the hotel. Overall we throughoughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in naples. If you are looking for a budget hotel offering extremely high standards for the price, the carlo terzo is the right choice.

The staff was courteous. However the rooms and bathrooms were very small, smelled of smoke. The location was not in a neighborhood where we felt safe and I would not choose to stay there again.

Exit the Autostrada del Sole (A1) highway at San Giovanni and follow signs to San Giovanni-Barra-Gianturco-Poggioreale. Turn left onto Via delle Repubbliche Marinare. Follow the indications to Caserta and Aeroporto and take the Tangenziale-Napoli-Secondigliano exit. Continue along Via Oreste Salomone and turn right onto Via del Riposo. Upon entering Naples, take Largo Santa Maria del Pianto and follow along until you reach Via Nuova del Campo.
