Beautifully renovated hotel in old un renovated center. All new and 100% above average of what is found in Rome. Small reception and breakfast area. Napoli has a very different kind of beauty for those that can see it.

Nice bedrooms as in the pictures. We had a very confortable king size bed. I liked the non carpeted floor. We had only one gigantic bathrobe to share, and no refill of bath products during the 2 days we stayed though (Well!). The room itself was clean. Too bad their beautiful staircase not seemed to be vaccumed often! The staff at the entrance desk were all very nice, speak very good english, and were very helpful for questions around the city. You don't want to miss the welcome drink with before dinner napoletan specialities. Breakfast was nice, not humongus, but still enough choice, with specialty cheeses and ham. There is a bar but no restaurant. Which is OK, cause you want to go to the restaurants or pizzeria in Spaccanapoli anyway. The location? Well, you are in Napoli, so you have a nice view on the garbage containers on the other side of the street, and a small public dormitory was on the next street. It is not in a rich area, but in a very touristic one, the old medieval town. Very convenient place to walk around this part of town, and you are next to the famous Via San Gregorio Armeno with a lot of artisans shops. Also only 15 min walk to go to the port for the ferry to Capri. The area did not feel unsafe, but always watch your purse in Napoli anyway (as well as all the south of Italy). I was very satisfied to have chosen this hotel.

This is a very pleasant place to stay in Naples. Very nice facilities and extremely accommodstihg staff. Located in the old city, which might be intimidating for some, but close to Duomo and shops that sell creches, Neapolitan angels, etc. Will stay there again if in Naples.

Hotel Decumani was very nice and exceeded my expectations based on the price. Well worth the money. A little difficult to locate off the main streets when you first arrive in Napoli, but everything seems to be. Taxi drivers will try to rip you off from the station; don't let them charge you more than 10 euro. They also may not drop you off at the hotel and claim they can't drive up to it because it is in the medieval quarter; however, plenty of taxis seems to drive right up to the front of the hotel without difficulty. The hotel is very close to several great restaurants and night life, as well as near the acqueducts (awesome tour). Breakfast at the hotel was very good, but we never ate any other meals there so I cannot comment on their restaurant. I would stay here again as it was clean and relaxing after a day on the hectic streets of Napoli.

After lots of negative stories about Naples, the driving, the safety etc We had the most wonderful surprise!!! The driving was just like in any other other big city, once we found the hotel we felt happy straight away Offered a welcome drink the first night and looked after very well as by all staff we like too say If you are up for a adventure in a city, visit Napoli and this Hotel.

It is located in a decaying area of the town. Within walking distance of the cathedral and other important monuments. But, at night this is not a very pleasant area to walk about.

Consider three things before choosing this hotel: 1. It's in the Centro Storico, which has lots of restaurants and interesting churches and galleries, but is not the nicest part of Naples and can feel a bit unsettling. 2. It's expensive; the rooms are modern and clean but nothing special. 3. The hotel has fairly limited facilities and I didn't find the staff particularly welcoming.

The centre of Naples is terribly run down so the street and location came as no real surprise. Lovely view over the small square and open dustbins. Lovely hotels spoiled only by one miserable receptionist. Thankfully she wasn't there all the time! The room should have been better serviced on the weekend. Otherwise I would recommend the hotel anytime once you have decided to stay in the historical centre of Naples.

My husband and I loved this hotel! We have stayed at many places in Europe and elsewhere, and found the comfort and service at this hotel to be exceptional. I was there alone for 3 days of business and my husband joined me for 5 days of vacation. We had a rental car (parking was free) and took day trips all around the region using the hotel as home base. At the end of every long, hot day, we were relieved to come "home" to wonderful air-conditioning, sound-proofed rooms full of character and simple elegance, high quality linens, extraordinary breakfasts (especially for Europe), free Internet access, a small but lovely bar with free hors d'oeuvres at happy hour and a very helpful bartender, etc. The hotel seems to cater to an international, well-traveled, quiet clientele. The ONLY thing to think about is the location. For those who want to explore the old (gritty but historic) part of the city, it's perfect. For those who want to sit at cafes overlooking the sea, it's out of the way. Some single women might feel unsafe. I was comfortable walking around the neighborhood (I'm from NYC) but my colleague was not. I do suggest trying to avoid being there on a Sunday. The main street right near the hotel is shut down on Sundays but very lively on every other day.

Wonderful hotel! Staff is very friendly and breakfast is lovely! It is not easy to find though, even with the taxi we got lost. The surrounding area is a bit dirty, which contrasts with the hotel itself. But the hotel rooms more than make up for everything. Overall a lovely stay and highly recommended.

Nice and quiet hotel in the Centro Storico. This has been my second stay at this hotel, one of my favourites in Naples: clean and spacious rooms, nice bathroom, and good service. I absolutely recommend it if you're interested on being into the historical center of the city, one step to the Duomo, Gesu Nuovo, San Gregorio Armeno... I will repeat, sure.

Delightful haven in middle of Naples chaos. Bedroom door was erratic but otherwise the room and bathroom were perfect. Beautifully renovated with modern decor. Walls not very soundproof but hotel was quiet and no traffic noise permeated. Taxis can't find the little square so one needs to walk through the little alleys to find it. Well situated for museums and airport or port. Lovely immersion in the real Naples.

Brief overnight stay on way to airport. Avoid driving in Naples; it's crazy. Parking is not off road and at customer's risk. Excellent accommodation and hospitality. Good breakfast and service. Bar drink prices high; you'll have paid for the nibbles and complimentary prosecco offered if you order any. Located close to the Duomo.

Hotel is a very modern, recently refurbished boutique hotel and well designed and decorated throughout. Room was large, clean, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was excellent. The view from the room was of an internal staircase but in Naples youre not expecting a fantastic view anyway. The hotel has a magnificent original spiral staircase that goes up all 4 floors with a chandelier hanging 4 storeys. Welcome cocktail on the first night was a nice touch. Hotel can be hard to find but is located in the centre of old Napoli so you are in the action straight away when you leave. Would highly reccommend this hotel as a great place to stay and excellent value for money.

The hotel is beautifully renovated, spacious and comfortable. Fast Free Internet is available in lobby lounge. Breakfast staff were very good, but all other staff are very unfriendly and unhelpful. No tourist information is provided at all. Be careful to take evidence if you get a venere discount on your room as we had a hard time convincing the hotel of our discount and had to open our suitcase to get the venere printout out before they gave the discount. Hotel is a bit far from most things and surrounding neighbourhood seems to be a bit dodgy. Do not suggest single female stay there alone as recommend walking in group.

I have a lot of praise for this hotel which is situated in a former villa, thus retaining the facade - however step inside in the door and you will see a modern, boutique hotel which has combined comfort with modern design. It has still retained the magnificent staircase which was a pleasure to walk down. We had notified the hotel by email that we would be arriving late in the evening - that was no problem for them. We received a courteous welcome and were ushered to the room, which was spacious, well furnished and although the view was of back streets and other buildings, was extremely quiet. great pillows and bed, and appreciated the bathrobes and slippers - some 4 star hotels do not provide these to guests. The location was quite handy to most attractions - within walking distance to the Cathedral, to the National Archeological Museum etc etc. The location was interesting - close to exploring some back streets and giving us an opportunity to see how the local people lived. Lots of eating places close by The hotel staff were very helpful and provided assistance with checking our airline bookings, organising taxis and recommendations for restaurants. Breakfasts were more than adequate with plenty of choice - and good coffee as well. I would go back to stay again - the only recommendation I would make is to provide internet services to guests. Thanks for the opportunity to write this review.

Very nice room decorations and fine hardware details. But there seems to be no luggage locker or service - we checked out in the morning but needed to store the luggage in the hotel, the front desk simply told us to leave all luggages in the lobby without giving us any ticket and appeared reluctant to take care of it. I feel this is basic expected courtesy of a 4-star hotel.

Kind of an oasis in the hear of the city of Naples. Great hotel, very clean and comfortable, very well located (close to the Duomo, just in the "centro storico" but in a quiet square). I'm sure I will stay there again in my next visit to the city.

We found the Palazzo Decumani to be an excellent hotel, very conveniently located. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. The front desk personnel were very helpful. The breakfast was very good. I would only note that it can be challenging to find the hotel if you are driving, which is how we arrived. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel.
