L'albergo è centralissimo, particolare e ben servito dai mezzi pubblici; le camere sono piuttosto rumorose, i bagni poco spaziosi e la prima colazione è di modesta qualità. Personale molto cortese e professionale. Nei dintorni, per lo stesso prezzo, c'è di molto meglio.

Our stay at the property was not what we expected. We had booked a suite ( which to me means two rooms) and we received a medioum sized room. Our room was supposed to have a whirlpool tub and we had a shower. There were supposed to be robes and slippers and there were none. We booked this room as an extravagance since it wass $220.00 a night. We didn't expect to only get a small room with none of the things mentioned above. We usually stay in small B & B's and not hotels and are very happy with them, but for once we thought we'd spend alittle more and stay in a suite. We were very disappointed. Not to mention the fact that for such an expensive property we had to pay to ride up and down in the elevator every time we went in and out! $220.00 a night and we had to pay for the elevator! The only bright spot was the staff who was very helpful. But we would not stay here again.

Great hotel, and in a wonderful location. We were there when they were renovating the inside of the Galleria, so our view was scaffolding, but that's not the hotel's fault! The only problems we had were with the entrance gate (you have to key in a number that's hard to see when you arrive in the evening), and the elevator (you have to put 10c in the box to get it to move during the day).

Besides the excellent location and quirky artistic charm, the most outstanding feature of the hotel was the staff, especially Francesca. She was incredibly helpful and professional and a wonderful hostess. Mille grazie!

The Hotel was great. Clean, nice, a very good bed, a great bathroom, quiet. The ubication is great, although it should say that is inside the gallery (Umberto I gallery) and it is at the 4th floor of one of the 4 buildings that conform the gallery. It has a good lift and Francesco is great. Had a very good time in Napoli.

We don't have enough superlatives to describe this gorgeous hotel! We could only stay for 2 nights, but were welcomed like family, treated like royalty and cosseted for every minute. The (unfairly gorgeous) staff supplied discount cards for top souvenir shopping, booked tables at handy restaurants, sourced taxis, and told us how to do Neapolitan taxis without getting ripped-off (ask for 'Tarifa Predeterminata'). Not really expensive for what we were given in exchange, and we'll just have to save-up hard to go back again.

How to reach Art Resort Galleria Umberto

By car
From the tangenziale ring-road, take the Via Marina (Porto) exit. Then follow the indications to the centre (centro) until you reach Piazza Municipio. Follow along Via San Carlo to the Galleria Umberto I.

By train
From the Stazione Centrale train station, take the bus line R2 and get off at the San Carlo stop, right in front of the Galleria Umberto I gallery.

By airplane
From Napoli Capodichino airport, take a taxi or the Alibus shuttle bus and get off at the Piazza Municipio stop. Take then Via Roma, proceed to Piazza Plebiscito and follow along until you reach the Galleria Umberto I.
