Hotel Pommeraye - Nantes

The hotel is centrally located in the tourist area, very convenient with shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly and was always ready to provide useful information for reference.

Rooms were clean and well appointed but previously occupied by smokers. Some noise from outside at night but to be expected in city centre. Staff were excellent - no fuss and very helpful with car parking arrangements at Graslin Car Park very close by.

The Pommeraye is very centrally located in Nantes, with great eating and shopping options on the doorstep. A very clean and comfortable hotel, with very friendly staff.

This was a great choice - right in the heart of the old city with its lovely sights and old buildings plus great shops and cafes. Felt safe walking to and from the various restaurants at night. Parc Graslin parking was nearby and secure. Contemporary rooms and decor; our room had an ensuite and separate wc. Would be better if there were simple coffee making facilities in the room. Nantes was a pleasant suprise - very clean, great atmosphere and plenty to see and do. We would stay here again.

An excellent hotel which I have already recommended to numerous friends. Quirky, arty, contemporary and right in the centre of Nantes. This hotel has character, charm and is a refreshing change from the standard hotel aesthetic.

the hotel was difficult to find being located in a pedestrian area, the parking was not at all suitable for anyone with even slight mobility problems, the room was without any airconditioning, this meant the windows had to be opened, there was a lot of street noise untill very late, then the street cleaners moved in. on the positive side the hotel was well located for bars and restuarants, nantes is a great city and we will return.

Best hotel I've ever been in France. Perfect location, comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms, helpful staff... incredible value for the price. Would stay again at this hotel without doubt, and will recommend it to everyone.

The hotel has everything one needs for a short stay: it's pretty, spacious, clean and with the necessary ammenities. Our room (classified as superior) was extremely nice, smartly conceived with thoughtful details. It has no swimming pool, no fridges in the room, etc. things we had no really use. Breakfast is rather expensive but of good value. The hotel is at walking distance of "La Cigale", one of the most charming brasseries to be found in France.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not worth the money but the hotel is central, clean and the beds comfortable. I would go back.

Beautiful hotel, boutique style, clean, modern and bright rooms in the heart of Nantes. Loved the simplicity and brightness of the rooms. Parking station in walking distance. Large town, spread out but convenient tram for some distances further out.

Having been a frequent visitor to Nantes now for over the last 2 yrs, I have stayed in a number of different Hotels and I would put The Pommeraye in my list of top 3 in joint 1 st place. For value for money, cleanliness and the Staff, the majority of whom spoke English with 2 having excellent English, they didn't make you feel a leper because you were limited with your French. Overall very very helpful. My only small criticisum is the dining area, slightly crampt. The hotel has a agreement with a car park near by which allowed you free over night parking, but even the daily rate was very reasonable. For my short stay I was very impressed and would happily recomend the Pommeraye to anyone. Unfortunately they are going through some Sand blasting at the moment, so Scaffolding all over the front of the building making it a little restrictive with privacy with builders walking past your window 4 floors up. They did inform me that it will be finished in Jul this year. (2009) An enjoyable stay even so. Thank you very much.

Ottima posizione centrale. Pulito e confortevole anche se in palazzo vecchiotto con camere non molto spaziose. Vicino parcheggio coperto comunale a pagamento con sconto Hotel (1 notte 4 euro invece di 7) Ottima l'accoglienza e buona anche la colazione.

Charming small hotel right in the centre of the shopping district with easy access to public transport. The room was small but very clean and comfortable with generous breakfast (an extra). Had trouble with going online with my own laptop and because the hotel's (free) computer had a French keyboard some sites wouldn't accept my password. Friendly staff with variable English. Highly recommended.

Great location for visiting nantes good public car parking (once you find it) would use it again.only problem very small showers.

Veramente un piccolo gioiello! molto curato, centralissimo (a 20 metri dal Passage Pommeray) e veramente economico in relazione a quel che offre!

I thought the color scheme and lighting design of the breakfast room were lovely. It gave me some ideas for when we re-do our kitchen. It was good to have internet service - other places we stayed on our vacation lacked that now essential element.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the character of the room. A modern boutique decor was just what we needed. The accomodations were excellent, a good breakfast and friendly staff all helped to make our last night in Europe very comfortable. Well situated in the pedestrian center it was within walking distance to all things fun in Nante.

Great hotel. Centrally located. Warning - no air conditioning and street noise can be quite loud! But otherwise great value for money, would definitely return.

Tourist visit. The hotel was conveniently situated and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and met our requirements adequatley. Free internet was good. A jug in the room for a cup of tea would have been good.

The only problem that I had was with the staff. Their willingness and ability in dealing with non-french speakers was not at all welcoming.

No air conditioning and noisy with the window open but quiet when shut. Good central location with multistory car park nearby with reduction for hotel guests.

De Pommeraye was a nice, quaint hotel squeezed between shops in a busy shopping area. The proximity to the shopping and dining in the downtown area was very nice. The rooms were small but more than adequate. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was very nice as well. The free access to the internet in the lobby was a definite bonus. The only drawback was the access to parking. There is a parking garage a few blocks away. The unloading area in front of the hotel was almost nonexistent. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would consider staying here if ever in Nantes at a later date.

The location of Hotel de Pommeraye was excellent. Very central and close to shops and restaurants of different price points. The hotel was undergoing renovation when we were there and the room we had was new and spacious. When the windows were closed, the noise level was relatively quiet, but since the hotel is in a busy area, it is very noisy when opened. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a good variety of different items. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel had just changed name and was a little difficult to find in a partially pedestrianised area. My main gripe was the discrepancy in price quoted on website against actual price, although I was given opportunity to cancel. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and the new rooms are to a very high standard. The staff were very helpful.
