Hotel Des Colonies - Nantes

Clean, friendly and great value for a short stay in Nantes. Just a few minutes walk from the Place du Commerce and shopping areas. Few facilities so I would only recommend for a short city break, not an extended stay. Rooms vers small but functional and clean, so good value. All staff very friendly. No hotel parking so you have to find on street pay parking or leave the car in a nearby pay car park, so drop off the luggage at the door before parking. Microwave and coffee facilities in the lobby and you can eat your own food there. Breakfast pricey so go to a nearby cafe instead. Recommended!

My first impression of hotel room was that it was a bit dated, but the friendliness of the staff and perfect location of hotel more than made up for this. Everything you need seems to be just around the corner! The most fantastic shops to suit every pocket, lovely cafes for morning cafe au lait, but you must go the La Cigale where the coffee is actually cheaper than other places. Try the lovely Italian restaurant across the road. I just don't know why Nantes is not more well known as the most perfect holiday location, or maybe I was the only one that didn't know about it! I absolutely loved it, there is no need for the tourist bus as you can easily walk everywhere. The cruise on the River Edre is well worth it. Lovely place, lovely people and lovely hotel perfectly located. French is an advantage but otherwise a dictionary will work wonders!

Quiet, clean, well situated hotel. But the room was rather small and I think cheaper hotels may be found for about the same level of quality. Excellent situation in the center of Nantes, near the Passage Pommeraye, place Graslin and many bars/restaurants. Very "neutral" room decoration, no particular charm. OK for a short stay.

Está centrico. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y limpias aunque poco iluminadas.

Lovely little hotel right in the centre of Nantes. Good service, room small but adequate, bathroom very small. However if you were a "larger person" you would find the shower very tight! I would stay there again.

L'albergo era assolutamente carino, pulito e silenzioso. La stanza non era molto spaziosa, ma a quanto ho visto le stanze in francia sono più o meno tutte piccoline.. Pc disponibile all'ingresso, mostre nella hall, ascensore e bagno in camera con tanto di phon. Siamo state proprio bene e ci tornerei senza dubbio.

Clean and nice staff in the hotel. The most appreciated is the free internet service. But the hotel is too far from the train station.
