Hotel Pelican - Mykonos
school of fine arts - Mykonos
877-662-6988The property is housed in a typical Cycladic-style building, within walking distance of the town's characteristic winding alleys, whitewashed cube-shaped houses, picturesque old harbour, and pedestrian streets lined with numerous restaurants, bustling shops and world-famous nightspots.
The hotel offers a charming enviornment, with refurbished interiors and a kind, helpful staff. Warm hospitality and modern comforts will make your stay an extremely pleasant one.
The reconstruction and restoration of the hotel began in the summer 2005 for upper floor and will be completed by the summer 2007 for the whole building, with particular care and respect for tradition.
Such a lovely well designed and managed hotel in a great location with an excellent view of all of mykonos town to include the sea and windmills. such good value for...

Such a lovely well designed and managed hotel in a great location with an excellent view of all of mykonos town to include the sea and windmills. such good value for money especially with a great breakfast. balcony was huge and bathroom a great size and splendid features. they provide a free pick up from the airport/port. there was a mix up with our pick up but they were eager to put it right and paid for our taxi which sweet. the staff are very welcoming. would definately stay here again. don't hire quad or bike from the place immediately at the bottom of the hill. they don't offer helmets and are unprofessional. try others

A very clean and colorful hotel on top of a cliff overlooking the magnificant view of Mykonos old port, the sea, the town and even Tinos island. The staff are charming, smiling and very helpful. The breakfast is very good. Yes, will definetly return back to this hotel next summer.

Went to Mykonos for 3 nights, my favorite island in Greece, and we were pleasantly surprised with the Pelican hotel. YES the steep hill is rough, but at least it works off the calories of all the cocktails we just had...the rooms are amazing, location is fantastic, i have nothing negative to say. I was extremely satisfied with this hotel and MOST definitely would stay again.

This hotel is superb and we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends. The rooms are spacious and clean, and even though our room was in the worst location, as it faced the patio where guests had their breakfast, the noise never bothered us. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly (even at 4am!). The hotel is very conveniently located - it's only a stroll to Little Venice (an area of Hora with sea view bars & restaurants) & the shops, and the bus stop is also around the corner (there are no beaches in Hora to speak of, so you would need to either drive or get the bus). The only downside is a hill you have to climb to get to the hotel - it was not a problem for us, but I can imagine that it may be difficult for elderly, people with mobility problems or heart conditions. Then again, more or less all hotels are located on a hill & that's the price you have to pay for the view, which is well worth it by the way!

A bit uphill of the Mykonos town, require to walk a long steep slope to get back to hotel, and average a 20 minute walk to town center. But since it's on the hill, the view is spectecular, can have the view of the town and harbour all together. This made the balcony a good place to stay. It would be even better if there is internet access in the room area. The rooms are designed and decorated nicely, with a taste of art.

We had a very nice welcome and had a very good stay at the Pelican Hotel. It's very nice and clean, close to the city center but far enough to get a quite sleep. Great eperience, we surely reccomend this place!

Remember to ask to the hotel staff to pick you, and take you, to the port. It’s very hard to get there by your one if you carry bags: the hotel is about 10 minutes walking distance from the center, but it’s always up, with some stairs to climb (and we have a good physical resistance). Don’t forget to enjoy the great view from the hotel balconies.

The hotel is an excellent hotel all around. It is a very reasonable price for the services provided, and they have a superb breakfast buffet. The only negative is its location. It is only about half kilometer from the centre of Mykonos Town, but the last 300 meters is a strenous hike up a steep hill. One third of that stretch is extremely elevated and might require a lot of effort for less athletic people.

Excellent location, 5mins walk from the bus station. This means easy access to the town and the buses to the beaches. Get a room of with seaview, then you can enjoy the sunset at your own private balcony. But be warn the hotel is at the end of a steep slope but not a problem for me.

This is probably the best value for the money we've got in all the hotels we've stayed throughout our trips through Europe. The hotel is beautiful, recently renovated and extremely clean. Inside the room we had tile floors and a great spacious bathroom. Just outside was a small terrace table which was great for having a bottle of wine watching the beautiful sunset in Mykonos. The hotel is within walking distance (although through steep hills/steps) to the town of Mykonos, which is the best place to be in the island. You can rent a scooter or take buses to all the beaches during the day, but it's best to be able to walk at night instead of relying on other type of transportation. The hotel served a full breakfast and all of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Not to mention the owner who was very nice and took the time to tell us the history of the hotel, which is family owned. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Mykonos, and would not stay anywhere else in this beautiful island.

This hotel has a great value. It's very comfortable and charming. It's a pity that it doesn't have a swimming-pool, but it's very near to the center of the city and the bus station to go to the beaches. It has only two stars but we found it better than many three stars hotels.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location. Just in front of the most popular gay hotel of Mykonos but cheaper and with more spacious rooms. The hotel has not swimming pool but you will not need that in Mykonos! Don't trust the hotel owner regarding restaurant advice! If you will find Mykonos expensive (as we did) we reccomend the bakery just outside Ano Mera village on the way for Elia beach perfect for your pic-nic box at lunch time. If you are loking for a reasonable fish restaurant in Mykonos City we reccomend Fish Tavern Koynelas, not extremelly cheap but it worths the bill. Enjoy your trip.

Although it´s a steep walk to the hotel, the location is very handy. Service is very polite and gentle. The superior room was the best we has during our whole trip to Greece, as well as the service. Decorations, space, and the balcony view...excelent!

One of the nicest hotels we stayed in during a five week tour of Europe. The hotel is wonderful. The steep hill is a challenge. I would encourage guests to arrange to be picked up at the port / airport. After dragging luggage up the hill I count myself lucky to be alive. The view and the peace and quiet on the terrace in the evenings is a precious memory for me. Stay here!

The Pelican is a beautiful hotel with a magnificent view of Mykonos and the harbor. The rooms and, especially the bathrooms, are spacious and are kept spotlessly clean by the staff. The service was caring and friendly. Be warned, however. One pays a price for the magnificent view. The climb to the hotel is a bit of a challenge. But, if it does not kill you, it will add five years to your life. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Mykonos.

As we walked through the door of the hotel for the first time my wife was extremely impressed, which made me happy, as I'd booked the hotel. Our happiness remained during our stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good, so what more do you want? As for the climb up the hill to the hotel, well just consider it as exercise. Exercise with a reward, the amazing views over the town. I would recommend this hotel to any fit person

To favor: + Hotel of new, modern, clean and spacious rooms. + Mykonos's spectacular views from a wide terrace. + 3 minutes to the center of Mykonos and of the station of autobus. Negative: - Too cold Check-in for a familiar hotel and of supposed nearby treatment. They should indicate, without requesting it, the situation of the hotel, nearby services, more picturesque places for visit .... and at least .... facilitate Mykonos's plane as they did in other hotels in the Greek islands. - Necessary to raise a slope during 2 minutes of high slope. They should recommend to contract the service of transport to the hotel since there are no taxis in the port in spite of the fact that they indicated it to us.

Nice and clean room but double bed is small. Lovely vibrant lobby. Very helpful front desk staff. Wholesome breakfast. The only problem is the steep climb from the road to the hotel, but we enjoyed our stay nevertheless. We would like to stay here again ( although they forgot to send us the pre-arranged airport pickup)

I hadn't been to the Pelican in Mykonos town before and didn't know what to expect. It was a pleasant surprise to see that, for the price I was paying, I got a modern, clean and spacious double room with a common terrace and stunning views over the town and the bay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing that might put one off is the walk uphill from the town centre, which is only 10 minutes away, but that didn't concern me in the least. I will definitely stay again and recommend it to everyone.
