I went to Mykonos on Aug.16, I knew it is a peak season for the whole Greece, but Mykonos hotel is the most expensive part among all other areas... the comparison with other places for quality vs price was really poor... the hotel room is really small, and no breakfast, but cost me the most. the only good thing is the location, very central of the town, near to the bus station.

I have stayed in several places in Mykonos over the years and this has been the best value and most convienient, it was very well positioned for the money and had all the facilities you could want for the price, esp small things like a bar fridge where you can keep drinks cold. I would stay here again. It exceeded my expectations, which does not happen often with a lot of accomodation, I was on a budget so compared to what some hotels cost in Mykonos was very happy and hope to return to Galini soon.

great location, very close to the bus station for paradise club etc, shopping, little venice. very clean. not so great for a lone traveller as residents kept to themselves. hard to sleep in as a neighbour was working on his house each morning and room was next to reception so it was very noisy - not so good for a hangover. reception staff were never around to ask for travel advise but there were plenty of travel agents close by.

Maria, the owner of Galini was very helpful and she gave us a warm welcome and sound advice on how to enjoy mykonos in the short two days that we were visiting the island. Galini Hotel is definately an ideal location for a short stay.

Staff and owner were very nice, the shuttle service is a big plus. We are 60+ and stay in a variety of hotels, for this trip we wanted something simple and in the town, we were very comfortable, and room was simple and very clean.

All staff from cleaners to proprietor were friendly, helful and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. The owner, Maria was fantastic in helping us get to our cruise ship even when the instructions we gave regarding embarkation point were found to be incorrect. She ensured that we got there by making all the additional enquiries and driving us to the correct place - always with a smile. The hotel itself is very central, yet in a quiet street - I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

When the owner of Pension Galini Ms. Maria picked up us from the ferry she explained that, due to some ferry cancellation for weather conditions, our room would still be occupied that night. She therefore organized a room for us at her father’s hotel (Hotel Nazos), very close to Pension Galini, for the same price even if room reserved for us was more expensive. Hotel Nazos is only 5 minutes walk from the bus station down a hill, the room was very nice, spacious and clean, with a small kitchen where in case of need you can cook something. The only concern is due to the noise as the windows are at street’s level and every car or motorbike seems riding in the room! But with windows closed and with conditioning switch on this is much better. We spent there only one night and it was a nice stay also due to the kindness of the owners who also drop off us at the airport, always for free.

MARIA, the hotel's owner, is very nice and friend. She is a typical greek woman, very kind, trustful, and she let us feel very comfortable during our stay in Mykonos, a beautiful city...

Very good situation, just in the centre of the town and very near of bus station where is possible going to the best beaches. Rooms with balcony are bigger than the other rooms. Breakfast is not included. Free transfer service to and from the port and the airport.

Nice place, nice owners, except that I was forgotten at the port when I got there and had to take a taxi into town.

As typical in the Med you can ask for a double and you get two singles pushed together. We moved after day one to the only double and whilst the hotel is basic - we spent 1 hour in the room (awake) everyday so who cares. Very central, clean, quiet, aircon, free pick up and my friends paid a night what we paid for a week!!!!

The rooms in Hotel Galini are very small and cramped so it made our twin room uncomfortable, only one person could move around the room at a time. The location is quite good in the town but difficult to find initially given that the signage is discreet. Also, it was quite disappointing that I had requested a pick up from the airport, which was included in the room costs, but when I arrived there was no-one at the airport and when I eventually found the hotel there was no-one at reception, they apparently were not up to date on their e-mail. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for the price

The hotel met all my expectations. The value was excellent for the price. Location is perfect; not on a noisy street but extremely close to everything. The owner, Maria, was wonderful in picking us up and dropping us off at the ferry; and providing information on the island. Would highly recommend this place.

The owner, Maria, is so kind and pleasant to chat with. She offers pick up to and from. I booked a tripple room and she offered 1 double 1 single at no extra cost. It gave us more space and saved her energy for the 3rd bed so it's win-win and I'm very happy. In generally, I feel Greek people are nice and have great hospitality and she is a fine example for this.

We stayed at Hotel Galini for 3 nights. The hotel was in prime location- VERY close (easy walking distance) to restaurants & shopping, as well as the shuttle station where you can take a bus to any of the beaches. The hotel itself looked just as we expected from the website. We were very happy with our room. Very clean with nice decor. The only minus was that the lobby-desk was located right outside of our room and in the morning we were awakened from the loud talking of people in the lobby area. The owner, Maria, provided transportation to and from the port. She was sweet and offered useful information of the surroundings. The only other thing we did not like was that, Maria gave us a bit of a scare on the day of our check-out. On the day previous to our departure, she told us she would meet us in the lobby at noon, so we could take care of payment for our stay and allow enough time for her to drive us to the port to board our ferry. In our opinion, she was cutting it a little close but she reassured us that we would make it on time. Well, noontime came the next day, and I'm not sure if she forgot about us or what, but we had a little panic attack when she didn't show up. At 12:20pm she was nowhere to be found, and when we tried calling the hotel phone number it kept rolling to a fax. But fortunately my friend ended up finding the housekeeper who was cleaning a room upstairs. The housekeeper called Maria on her cell phone and said that she would arrive shortly to pick us up. We ended up getting to our ferry just in time, but it also was to our advantage that there was a delay in its arrival to the port. With all that being said, I would still definitely stay here again. This great hotel and it's location can't be beat...And Maria was very nice, but just make sure she understands importantance "punctuality" when needing to catch your ferry.

In general accomodation was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. The bath was very little with difficulty to use the shower without preventing the whole bathroom (washbasin, WC...) to get completely wet. Mrs. Anna was very kind and always at hand. I think the hotel is suitable for a young, informal clientele, wishing a place right in the center of Mykonos at reasonable prices.

This hotel is really cute and very quiet even though it's very close to the centre of Mykonos and its restaurants. The rooms are impeccable and Maria and her husband are very friendly and helpful. Compared to the general hotel rates of Mykonos, it's rather cheap and I recommend it to everyone.

Small hotel, 7 rooms, no amenities. Overall a great budget place, room was clean, great area and close to local bus station. I would recommend this hotel if you do not mind a budget hotel and you are spending most of your time exploring the great isle of Mykonos.

If you want to stay to a -small- but VERY FRIENDLY hotel INTO the town of Hora-Mykonos with 3-minute access to bars etc, but without the noise of them, you must prefer this hotel. All the rooms in hora (that I know) are more expensive and if you can afford a bigger and more expensive room go somewere else. If you want a room for a sleep between clubing etc, its PERFECT

Very nice small hotel. The owner Maria is very friendly and helpful. Price seems to be more then I would prefer for the room, but comparing to other choices we had it was OK. Ask for the transportation when booking because it's a long walk from the north bas station on very narrow streets with a lot of people.
