Was realy cheap and in the city, what is a good point. The bad thing was, that there was no hot water in the morning and afternoon, just at night. MeglehetÅ‘sen olcsó volt, és ráadásul bent van avárosban, a fÅ‘pályaudvartól, ill. a buszpályaudvartól nem messze, ami pozitÃvum. We stay there 2 nights. The toilet and the room was unclean, we find a lot af dust, a beer's stopper and one hair's elastic band under the bed. The toilet was unclean too, we find hairs in the shower and yellow spots (?) all over the wall behind the wc. During the night, also if the hotel is full of signals '22.00h stop the noises' some people continue to stay in the corridor talking loud and walking, ruuning etc..., so it was nearly impossible to have sleep. The elevator is just one for 5 floors and it's very small, so everytime we have to wait a long time to take it. We don't suggest it for people who search good cleanliness, relax and quiet place to sleep at night.

Although we liked our room (very big and clean) this is not a Hotel, is a HOSTEL, so you should expect to find several teenagers at the front door and even hear them from your room till very late. The location is convenient and the price was worth what we got.

Breakfast (4 euro) was very good! Clean. A bit far from the nearest subway station (next to the HBF). It is very good for the price (12 euro female 6 persons). A deposit of a towel and a hair dryer was 5 euro each.

A bit further out of town than the map shown on the website would indicate. however plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and a tram stop across the road. Building a bit dingy and some noise from the railway, but overall reasonable value for money

Atmosphere it's very young, In fact it's seems a youth hostal . Quite place very central. Room was spacious. Cleanliness of the room was poor but not arriving to dirty. Breakfast was not included on the romm price, although was not expensive, either was not very tremendous.

My comments refer to the "hotel" part of Meininger - I can't comment on the "hostel" part. I was looking for a decent, low-cost accommodation in Munich and booked a single room - which turned out to be a double room with single occupancy. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, two beds, a TV set, a small table with chair, a set of shelves and a clothes rail with hangers. So it was not a luxury apartment, but if you are looking for a decent budget accommodation for the night and plan not to spend the day there, you should be fine - if there is two of you, you should be aware that the room is not too big - you will have to give each other space.

I mostly satisfied by this stay. Good staff and location, convenient access to i-net, private garage, new furniture makes our stay comfortable. And wonderful Augustiner Brauhouse right in front of the hotel door!

The toilet had a strong smell of urine, there were holes in the sheets, just one towel for 3 persons and the room and area was completely trachy. We left after 10 minutes as we could not get another room - and we still had to pay 18 EUR! It was the worst place ever.

It was our first time in Munich. We were five persons in two rooms a double and a triple. Our triple was spacious. We recommend Hotel Meininger City Hostel & Hotel München as a very good budget hotel, centrally located with a very good releationship between price and quality.

Schlicht und ergreifend ;-) Hostel = Herberge für junge und jung gebliebene. Plainly and poignantly ;-) Hostel for the young and young at heart. We ordered two singles and got two "Twin Beds". Impeccably clean, fresh linen every day, car park at a reasonable price (an extra). Even my travelling companion, who usually stays at higher priced hotels was impressed.

This is a hostel. Expect nothing more. As hostels go it was clean but the beds uncomfortable. The price was good. We were there at a slow time of year...late October...after Oktoberfest and it was for the most part quiet. There were still quite a few young people around...I can't imagine what this place is like during Oktoberfest.

For a backpacker hostel Meininger was pretty good! Friendly staff and clean room. Average breakfeast buffet. My only complaint is the location area that was quite boring and the prices that would have suited a 4 star hotel better!

This is the first time I stayed at Hotel Meininger City Hostel & Hotel München, and I had a good sensation about it as soon as it appeared to me far from the street. I had a very good night thanks to the quiet of the place. I appreciated as well the wide variety of the breakfast. I am going to stay in another Meininger structure in the next future.

The property is well-located. The corridors are gloomy, not lighted enough. The escalator does not service the highest floor. It is noisy. The lounge is free for all alcoholics.

Camere belle e moderne, ben attrezzate.

This was more like a nice hostel than a hotel - as long as that's what you're comfortable with, it was a good choice. Triple rooms automatically put you in the "hostel/dormitory" category, not hotel category. Location was good, but right near train station meant there was noise early and late. Don't waste time with laundry facility--go to laundromat 2 blocks away. Breakfast was good, elevator was small and didn't go to the 6th floor where our room was.

This is definitely more of a youth hostel than a hotel, which works fine for younger travelers, but certainly not for those looking for great service, comfort or quiet. We stayed with another couple in a quad, which was a lot like a freshman year college dorm room, bunk beds and all. The place was amusingly and colorfully decorated, with lots of space and a great shower. Breakfast was a sufficient buffet of the usual European variety and offered an chance to experience the cross section of young travelers that were staying there. There's cool murals covering many of the walls, especially along the lower floor, where there's a luggage room, cafe and game room with ping pong and billards tables. The hotel staff was nice, but swamped with the coming and going of large student groups. There's internet available in the large foyer/lounge area near the reception and the hotel itself is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest S Bahn station and about a 20 minute walk to the main train station (not quite 500 meters...). Overall a good deal for right downtown, but a bit pricey for a hostel

Good hotel,10 minutes walking to center of munich.rooms are good, not very big but adequate.staff is kind and available.breakfast is very good with a large choice and it is included in the price of the room for night.the hotel has a covered garage at 6,50 euros for night,if you need it. i suggest this hotel at all because the rapport quality/price is very good and it is near the center. by an italian guy. i should suggest this hotel at all because

Of all the 20 hotels we have been in so far on our journey across Europe, this one was the poorest. When we got to our room our keycard was not activated. 20 minutes after entering the room they gave us, other guests entered our room with an activated key card and argued with us because we were in their room. Then on our last night there we got back from a long day trip to find our room, and all our bags, locked in with no way to get in. The staff members response was the rudest response i have ever recieved by a hotel employee. Once asked to open our room so we could get in .. he responded with "pay the money now, or you can't get your bags". Funny seeing as how we payed the previous 3 nights accomodation up front. Stay away from this place.

Rooms weren't huge, but were very clean, with daily service, fresh towels and linens, etc. It was the best of a hotel and hostel together. The rooms at Meininger hotel quality, but they provided all of the services one looks for in the best hostels: laundry, great bar on site, breakfast, public transportaion tickets, stamps, etc. It was a wonderful stay! Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.
