Hotel Opera is a beautifully constructed building, with a convincing Roman theme throughout. It seemed that each of the different rooms had a unique style (i.e. not bland carbon copies of each other) and the courtyard where breakfast and dinner was served was, in particular, a very pleasant place to be. The staff were friendly and helpful and helped to make our stay very enjoyable.

Lovely Hotel in a quiet setting yet only 5 minutes walk from Maximillian Strasse.Staff are fluent in English and very helpful. Local area has a number of excellent restaurants - we particularly liked "Gandl" which has an eclectic menu.Very handy to U Bahn.

schön und gekonnt antik eingerichtetes Zimmer, leider einwenig ungepflegt und vernachlässigt: Polstermöbelsitz zerschlissen, Vorhangsaum heruntergerissen, Teppich auf Balkon verbraucht, Geranien daselbst nicht gepflegt, schade. Frühstück fein.

In their site there is only one room in chinece style. The others rooms are very different. We had a disagreement about the room they had booked for us. It was unacceptable for **** hotel. We found one other after a negotiation with a very kind manager of the hotel. I explained them that they must change their site because the photographs dosen't corresponded to the realy style of rooms.

How to reach Hotel Opéra

By train
From the airport take the tram S1 and S8 towards the city centre and get off at Ostbahnhof. Transfer into the subway U4 or U5, and exit at Lehel.

By airplane
The closest airport is the Franz-Josef-Strauss airport in Munich, and from there the hotel offers a shuttle service at an extra charge.
To reach the hotel by car from the airport, take the highway A9 towards Munich, and exit at Schwabing/Stadtmitte. At the intersection turn left into Leopoldstrasse and then again left after about 4 km, into Von-der-Tann-Strasse. At the second traffic light, drive left into Prinzregentenstrasse. Before you reach the next traffic light, turn right into Bruderstrasse which becomes St.-Anna-Strasse, where you find the hotel on the left-hand side.
