Sebastian is a wonderful, welcoming and knowledgeable host. The hotel Laimer Hof is a lovely hotel set in quiet surroundings with easy access via the tram to the city centre. Munich represents a must do experience with friendly people, wonderful history and culture and with good transport links to other areas.

This was our second time staying at the Hotel Laimer Hof, and once again we had a wonderful time. Sebastian is a marvellous host who is very helpful and friendly. He and his staff are only too happy to help you with whatever you need and are great to chat with as well. Breakfasts were fantastic and plentiful. All in all a great place to stay with delightful hosts.

I had read in a travel book that the management was perhaps the most friendly in Germany and without a doubt this is true. The location was about 2 blocks from the tram line and a 10 minute walk to the Palace. Highly recommend this to anyone.

We were only there as a stopover for 1 night on way to meeting our daughter, so were no there to sightsee. Had trouble finding the hotel. There was a sign with name of hotel, but no arrow and no-one I asked knew where it was, or where Laimer Strasse was, so we rang hotel form directions, twice. A small clear map would be good. Once we were there, we were told a much easier way of getting there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would have happily stayed longer.

Lovely family run hotel in a quiet residential area. Owners and reception staff very helpful and great with advice on public transport and maps. Great for those on a budget who want a mid range hotel in a quiet area, with good transport links to other areas.

Those not willing to walk a few blocks to get to public transportation might want to consider someplace else. For us, location (near the summer palace) away from downtown was ideal since it was simple to get to downtown via streetcar.

My husband, sister and I had 2 quiet, quaint, cozy rooms in this Bed and Breakfast. We were highly satisfied by the ambience, comfort, cleanliness, excellent breakfast and overall customer service we received. The rooms were not spacious but the value and quality for the money is excellent.

My wife, mother and I spent 5 wonderful nights at the Laimer Hof. The hotel is situated in a lovely, quiet neighborhood near the Nymphenburg Palace. Although not in the city center, the tram into the city is an easy 5 minute walk. Nearby are several wonderful restaurants. The hotel is run by an amazing staff. Read the other reviews for this hotel and you will see the same comments. The owners, Sebastian and Alexandra make you feel at home. They are the nicest people you will ever meet. They continually go out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant. I could not imagine returning to Munich and not staying at the Laimer Hof.

Want a GREAT experience in Munich? Hostel Laimerhof if the BEST way to experience an amazing city! Owners/Hosts Sebastian and Alexandra are standouts in making your stay something special. Their hotel is operated professionally...and more importantly...they add the personal to it. They love what they do day in and day out and it shows. So what if the location is a bit outside of the city center - that only adds tot he charm. Besides that, you're only 15 minutes by Bus, Tram or S-Bahn to the busy city center. PLUS...you're in walking distance of Munich's largest Bier Garten. What more do you need? But WAIT..there's more. The breakfasts (included in the price, mind you, are beautifully presented AND are plentiful. Add to all this - FREE - internet access. I've been lucky to expense many stays at Ritz Carltons and other luxury hotels over the years... their consultants could learn a few things from this fine couple. Danke!!!!

Can't fault this at all. Very comfortable accommodation, clean, pleasant and warm. Not roomy, and shower units very small, but this is only a minor inconvenience. Owner very welcoming, chatty and helpful - even though I've been to Munich a few times before, he still recommended places I would never have thought of visiting and was glad I did. Couldn't do enough for you - will even supply all the necessary tickets for transportation. Location is excellent - a five minute walk from the S-Bahn station, but it has a direct line to the airport and is only 8 minutes by S-Bahn from the central train station. Tram connections provide another alternative. In short, hightly rcommended and I would certainly stay in Laimer Hof next time I'm in Munich.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Laimer Hof Am Schloss. The staffs were very helpful. Even the cleaning staffs were cheerful, a good indication that the hotel provides a good working place. The meticulous attention in satisfying even the most minut request should also be commended. Not only that, but the after service is superb! When we got back home, we realized that we had missed something on our trip back. Without expecting too much, we asked the people at Hotel Laimer Hof Am Schloss for assistance. With their immediate and positive response, one could not ask for more. We would most certainly try to find another opportunity to stay with them.

We were dissapointed by by our stay at the hotel. I really think it is more a pension that a hotel. The room was very small and tired. The carpets really need to be replaced and the curtains are just awful. THe best point is the breakfast in the morning and the outside building. The location is nice but far away from everything who wants to visit Munich. You need to take a tram and a subway to go in the city centre.

The Laimer Hof is exactly the kind of hotel I love in Europe - small, quiet neighborhood, attentive staff. The only drawback was that it was so small that when we arrived with our luggage during the breakfast service, we had to go out for a walk until a room could be made available, which the staff did with all possible haste. Wonderful, attentive, helpful staff. Highest recommendation.

Fantastic place for a peaceful stay. Breakfast is good, but it is the only meal they offer. Just around the corner you will find great Italian cuisine at Osteria Il Golfo. Nymphenburg Schloss is two blocks away, amazingly beautiful fairytale-like with its woods and lakes. Just few blocks away from the tram stop, not far only if you are not carrying any luggage. I will stay at Laimer Hof every time I am in Munich, Sebastian and Alexandra are great managers and the kindest hosts I have ever met.

Very nice and cozy hotel. Our room was small but clean and romantic, right under the roof. We really appreciated the huge breakfast and Sebastian's helpfulness. The Nymphenburg castle is just around the corner while the city center can be reached in 10 minutes by tram. I would recommend this hotel to those who like quiet and romantic places.

Excellent welcoming. Single rooms were also offered, as I travelled with college. We agreed in a reduced price (2*35) but next day we had to pay normal price (2*45), which is also OK for the room. Quiet location near the Castle Nympehburg with many restaurants surrounding.

An excellent city hotel - lovely surroundings in a residential area close to the Nymphenburg Palace and convenient for trams into the city centre. Wonderful hosts, Alexandra and Sebastian, who couldn't have been more helpful and added a real personal touch to our stay. Comfortable, clean rooms, a parking space and quite an easy journey to the airport. Very good value. We shall certtainly book again, when we are visiting Munich.

The hotel was very clean, in a lovely residential area. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was a varied and plentiful buffet. The most outstanding thing was the staff. Sebastion took great pains to show us how to use the trolley and train to airport and made sure we understood. What a gentleman!

What sets this hotel apart is not the physical aspect of it but the friendliness of the owner. Sebastian seems to truly enjoy running a small hotel. The room itself was somewhat small but adequate and could have used a coat of paint. The bathroom was new and spotless with a very tight corner shower stall. The selection of food at breakfast was very limited but, again, adequate. The location is good if a quiet residential area suits you.

A beautiful place to spend our honeymoon. The room was full of light in the daytime and quiet and comfortable at night. It gave us the real experience of being in Germany rather than just another cookie cutter hotel we could get in the US. The staff were more like a host and hostess rather than hotel employees. Gracious and helpful. I will recommend this hotel whole heartedly to anyone going to Germany.

This is a good family operation in a good location. Access to the tram nearby, as is the biggest beer garden in town and the most beautiful castle. Rooms are good value and double doors mean added quiet. Car parking was perfect and the owners seem really interested in your having a good stay. Nice residential area with quick access to town makes a fine combination especially if you have a rented car.

The hotel is very charming and well located next to the Nymphenburg castle. It has all the comforts of a larger facility with the feel of a large family home. We really enjoyed our stay at Laimer Am Hof Schloss and will recommend it to anyone. It is a beautiful old building, located close to Schloss Nymphenburg and bus or train stops. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent and a good start for a long day. The rooms are very good. Dickie the labrador makes the stay extra special and a walk with him early in the morning in the Munich cold is something we will always remember! Rooms were very small. They had a great breakfast and the employees/owners were very nice and helpful. Enjoyed the stay but wished the rooms were bigger. would not recommed for people who like to spread out or spend time in the rooms. would not stay again unless I was getting a room by myself. A little hard with two females who needed more room.
