My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Kriemhild for 4 nights from 19 September 2008. The hotel is situated approximately 10 to 15 minutes from the city centre and in located in a lovely leafy area of Munich, 200 metres from the tram station and a similar distance to the Hirschgarten (famous beergarden). The hotel is immaculately presented and clean, with rooms being of a considerable size, which includes a seating/retreat area with beds being of good quality. Our room was located on the road side and despite Oktoberfest festivities, there were no noise issues of people going to the Hirschgarten. The room also contained a minibar with the only negative being that no tea/coffee making facilities were available in the room. Hotel staff were exceedingly pleasant and willing to assist with any matter. Breakfast was also first class with a range of buffet options being provided. Going to the Oktoberfest or into the centre of Munich provided no problems with trams running continuously. All in all my wife and I would certainly recommend this hotel based upon service, location and price and have already booked our return stay to the hotel.

Very good value for money. A little bit farther from town centre than we had anticipated, but a good tram service.

We arrived early prior to check in and were greeted warmly and sincerely. Our room was rushed to be cleaned and we were offered refreshments and internet access as we waited. The hotel is in a very nice quiet neighborhood close to the 17 tram line and right next to a park and beirgarten. Great location. Excellent breakfast in the morning, spotless modern rooms, and a wonderful and friendly staff - what more could you ask for? Terrific place to stay.

The hotel was great, but I did not realize that I would be paying 20% more by booking through venere.com. I would never do that again. That is a ridiculous mark up.

Single traveller in single room. Quite spacious enough for one with own bsthroom. Very clean. It was very peaceful and quiet, just what I was looking for after a long flight from Australia. My Room at the back had no traffic noise at all. Lovely quiet neighbourhood in pretty street. Cafe Dallmyr in nearby Romanplatz friendly and good for a light meal, the soup was excellent. The hotel breakfast exceede my expectations, a generous delicous choice, but it was my first hotel in Europe. Very easy access to town centre. But if you arrive by tram, cross over the tram lines first then walk staright ahead. I ended up in the rain walking much further. The Munich public transport system makes getting aournd very easy. most people spoke some English and i found them friendly and helpful. one thing surprised me. IN NZ every hotel room has tea adn coffee making facilities. i missed being able to make a cup of tea in my room.

The hotel was warm and welcoming, and the staff very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Our hotel room was very spacious and was kept nicely clean, and generally the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The tram was only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and we always got a tram within 5 mins of turning up at the stop. An excellent place to stay if you want to visit the city but would also appreciate some peace and quiet at the end of the day.

Great location; close to public transport and Hirschgarten and its lovely park; but away from city hub bub. Friendly hosts. Would definitely stay there again.

First time stay and the hotel was great. The staff were the best we encountered on our 4 week trip through Europe. They could not do enough to help you and were helpful with directions and tips. The hotel has excellent public transport nearby and a large beer garden 200 metres away. The off street parking was a bonus. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We could not ask for a better stay in the Munich area. As soon as we arrived and checked in, they gave us a map of the area. They then explained to us anything we wanted to know about the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast area was wonderful. The room was beautiful; bed was very comfortable and the room suited all our needs plus more. There is no need for us to look anywhere else to stay in that area again because this is the place to stay!

My wife and I only stayed at the Kriemhild for one night during Oktoberfest 2006. This small hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and provides free parking for guests. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the private bathroom (shower only) sparkling clean. The typical German breakfast (included) was delightful. Staff members were courteous and helpful, and provided information on tours and sights in the Munich area (such as the Dachau Memorial Museum just northwest of the city). Tram and bus stations are less than two blocks from the hotel. We strongly recommend this hotel to tourists, and would gladly stay at this hotel on a return trip. DB

Hi, Had an excellent stay after initial mix up with the room being a double instead of a twin share. (My mistake at the time of booking) Friendly, competent staff and great breakfast set up. I was disappointed at the reluctance to except American Express at time of settlement of the account, as this was my indicated form of payment at the time of my on-line reservation in november. I ended up paying with Visa. Overall, your hotel is excellent and especially well located near the Hirschgarten and with convenient tram connection to the city. I will recommend it without hesitation to friends and family. Michael Kratz

This is a very welcoming hotel. It is situated in a quite area just a short tram ride from the centre of Munich. There is a huge beer garden at the end of the street, well worth a visit. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, the room was spacious enough for more than two people and very comfortable. Loved it, will definately go back again.!
