Good value. At the price of a four bed room at the closest hostel you can have your own room, clean towel and a great breakfast. Excellent public transportation are in the neighborhood. Very annoying vaccuum cleaner at 8 o'clock and room without any sort of insonorization. I was lucky to not beeing on the road but i have been accompained by the snore of the other guests, not mentioning the oaf herd running unexplicably early in the morning all around my room. No shutter on the window. So bring with you good ear plugs and eyes mask and you will have a great stay.

Fantastic breakfast. The hotel is right in front of a tram stop which makes navigating the city that much easier. Tram passes are provided by the hotel staff, so you don't have to fiddle with confusing ticket machines. The staff by the way are friendly, and go out of their way to assist you with any query. All for a very reasonable price.

very helpful staff at check-in.Room was clean with large window overlooking the city. Double bed was firm and very comfortable. Bathroom was large and well equiped. The best surprise was the free extensive buffet breakfast, served in an ornate dining room worthy of a luxury hotel, with service from 7AM to 10:30AM-truly a wonderful way to start the day!

Nice budget motel. rooms clean bathrooms small.Great value for the dollar got adjoining room for the kids. its a bit noisy on street side.breakfast is great ,waitresses awesome. it would be nice if they could lock your bags in a room when you arrive early instead of on shelves.also a safe in the room should be mandatory now a days. wireless internet did not work in 23-24 but worked down stairs. also the bar they show in the pictures is not stocked or staffed. only used on holidays so im told. a fridge with beer and soft drinks for sale would also be nice , even the youth hostel 1/2 block down has one. great location near train 8 min walk tram just out the door.I would stay there again if traveling with my kids.

Found Jedermann online when our flight arrived late and our tour had left Munich. We were just looking for an emergency place to stay, but found a great little hotel [see awards in the display cases] and a very friendly and helpful staff. Don't stay here for the amenities [well, the breakfast was well done], but the location is convenient to so much. We had to leave by taxi at 5:15am by taxi to the airport, so would miss breakfast, but the night receptionist prepared box meals for us to take along. Very busy and eclectic area around the hotel, being next to the central train station.

I you require a budget hotel within easy walking distance to the main train station (for ease of travelling and day tours), this is it. We certainly got more than we bargained for. No dodgy surroundings and good quality food and service with a German flair. Breakfast especially was excellent, so was the lady that served it. The manager even brought us water for tea in the room every afternoon! Highly recommended for families with children.

This is a very nice hotel with professional and friendly staff. The rooms are comforable and very clean. The breakfast is fabulous, with a wide variety of fresh choices and plenty of strong coffee. The tram line is right outside the door, very convenient, and there is a neighborhood restaurant a block away with excellent food. The hotel is not newly renovated, but everything is well maintained and very clean, with the exception of the short pile carpeting, which is in the hallways and rooms. It is dirty looking int he hallways and made a bad first impression. Also, some of the upholstery in the common areas is tired and dirty. Given the overall condition of the hotel, I have the feeling these items are scheduled to be upgraded. I would stay here again.

Very welcoming at front desk, very well located hotel. English is no issue. About 15 minute walk to the core. At the end of our stay the kind lady at the front desk gave us a little bottle of wine as a Thank you. Overall very good impression of this hotel. Parking was a little tricky due to construction in the area, but we were given the Ok to park in the back. It was a tight squeeze to get into the back area to park. All I could say is if you do park behind, make sure you position your car such that you drive out easily from your spot. We had a tough time moving our car around and unfortunately there was a man, who worked for the hotel and was washing his car just where we had to manoevre around so we could drive out head first and not back out. Backing out would have guaranteed losing at least one of our mirrors. He was none too pleased about having to move his car a little out of the way, like a foot ro 2. He gave us the tisk tisk head shake, basicly implying we were idots ar novice drivers or something. He pretty much ruined the chances of us returning to this propery but don't let that discourage any of you. You will find it well worthwhile. We just don't like being given the tisk tisk look like we were kids. Be sure to book well in advance if you're going during Oktoberfest - as the place is popular and very close to the Oktoberfest area.

This hotel is great and I would reccommend it without any reservations! It is a 10 minuite walk from the central railway station and the city centre, staff is really friendly and helpful, the rooms are good-sized and very clean (although with an old-fashion decor, but we did not mind), the breakfast buffett is of standard only found in considerably more expensive hotels. There are certainly more luxurious hotels around but in terms of what you get for your money, Jedermann is unbeatable!

This was a lovely clean hotel and we were made to feel very welcome. The included breakfast was the best that my husband and I encountered in all the hotels during our 5 week stay in Europe. Hotel location was a bit of a walk from the popular tourist attractions around Marienplatz but public transport was just outside the door of this hotel for those who prefer to walk less. Also the main train station and underground was quite handy to this hotel.

arrived in mid May...parking is available for 8 euros a night in a garage close by. wifi was included and worked pretty well..nice breakfast included. we arrived on a busy evening - there was a glitch with what rooms were cleaned and we went to 2 that weren't ready...before getting a room that way ready. It was very nice...but was a triple, so we had to move the next day..which the hotel staff did. Location is about a 7 minute walk to the main train station..but there is a bus right out front. Marinplaz shopping area is about a 12 minute walk and much of it can be done through the train stations below. . It isn't the most updated hotel by any means, but the rooms are clean and adequet with enough room....they had vases and vases of fresh lilics in the hall ways - which is my favorite ...so I loved it. More than anything - the staff at this hotel was what it the highlight..they took care to help, sell bus tickets, assist with parking, showingrooms, recommending local places to eat.....they were outstanding and is the main draw from my perspective..........Alex was particually great.

We stayed at the Jedermann for 5 nights in June. We had a family room for two adults and two kids. The room was a bit squashy for the 4 of us, but was very clean and tidy. It had a separate toilet from the shower and sink, which was useful at times! There was also free WiFi included in the room (useful for my husband who needed to keep in contact with work). It wasn't air conditioned, but we didn't need it when we were there. The buffet breakfast was included in the price of our room and was absolutely superb! A huge choice of breads, spreads, meats, cereals, yogurts, fruits, eggs... the list goes on. You certainly could not be disappointed with the choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to answer all our questions and guide us to where we needed to go. They also sell tickets for the trains/trams/buses which is convenient. The tram stop (number 18 or 19) is right outside the door to the hotel and it is two stops from the main train station. This made it easy and convenient to jump on and off as we pleased and get to where we needed to go. You can walk it as well, but it is about 10-15 minutes on foot so easier to go on the tram. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Jedermann and would recommend it to other travellers.

Breakfast had a large selection of choices. Tram stop outside the door - 2 stops to the main train station or 4 stops to Karlsplatz. Walking - 10 minutes to main train station, 15 to Karlsplatz. We had a very pleasant stay at the Jedermann. The night concierge, Alex, made our stay fun and memorable with great restaurant suggestions for dinner and was very helpful directing us to the "must see" sights. The included breakfast was amazing - lots of choices with meats, cheeses, breads, pastries and fruit. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the train station - it was more trouble to hop on the tram than to walk it, even with luggage. The only negative was the acoustics - somehow voices from the rooms bounced off the walls and down the main hall. We slept soundly, though, in the very comfortable beds.

Good hotel at great location. 5 min walk to train station and underground. I got a quiet room to the back, which was small yet very nice. There's however a church bell ringing every 15 mins, so if you're a light sleeper you might find this irritating. If you plan to use a laptop with wifi, stay below the third floor, seems the signal barely goes that far up in the building, but the access is free, and there's also a guest pc in the lobby.

The neighborhood is not great, but very convenient to the Hauptbahnhof. Very quiet considering that it is on a busy street (Bayer Strausse). The hotel staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent -- including Black Forest Cake! Tram runs right by hotel, so it's easy to get to the Alstadt or Hauptbahnhof.

We booked our rooms online and were not familiar with the hotel. The website said the hotel was near the Munich train station which was convenient for us. We arrived in Munich by train so that was a big selling point for us. In addition, we were travelling with our college student son and needed a room large enough for 3 people. We arrived in Munich via the train and walked the 3 blocks to the hotel with our luggage in tow. When we got to the front door of the hotel we were not quite sure what we had gotten ourselves into. The front facade of the hotel could use some updating. However, once we got to the front desk our opinions changed. The front desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was large enough for a spare bed and all of our luggage. The room was not luxurious but it was clean and large enough for us. The break fast was very good and it was included in the price of the room. The location of the hotel was perfect for us because we traveled via the tram, which had a stop right out the front door and it was such a short distance to the main train station. You can buy bus/tram tickets at the front desk and they explain all your options to you. The front desk staff was the most helpful of all of the hotels we stayed at in Paris, Florence, Venice and Saulsburg. We would definitely recommend this hotel to any visitor.

I would recommend this hotel to others. The staff were most helpful with any queries. The proximity of the hotel to the railway station was an advantage.

Make sure you get off the train at the right stop as Munich has multiple stops which we were not told of. The hotel is not far from the train station and is an easy walk. It's on a busy street so ask for an internal room. It was a bit warm so we had the windows open and there was quite a bit of traffic/people noise. The room itself was quite small. We had a bit of a walkway between the twin beds and no room to open our luggage. But it was clean and convenient to the main square and a very short walk to the tram. I'd still recommend the hotel even through the room was small.
