This is an excellent hotel providing real value for the money. Although the rooms are small (typical for Europe), they are clean, the beds are firm, and our room included a small in-room kitchen area with stove and refrigerator from which we usually self-catered breakfasts of coffee, toast, fresh fruit, and eggs. There are wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance as well as good grocery stores. The staff members were welcoming and helpful, including looking up a museum's opening days and hours. We used the breakfast on departure day because of an early flight. Although it seemed a bit expensive, it provided real value with meat, eggs, fresh fruit, and many cereal and bread selections. The stores and people in the neighborhood were friendly to us and welcoming. If you like to walk, many of the major attractions in Munich can be easily reached on foot. Public transportation methods, including the underground, are available nearby. My only caution is that even Munich can be hot in the summer and there is no airconditioning that I could detect. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and economical stay in a safe, friendly neighborhood. I hope to return soon.

Stayed during Bauma, the tri-annual construction trade show where all the hotels double and triple (at a minimum) their prices One block from the U Bahn Perfect as a place to sleep and wash up and spend all your other time doing what you came to Munch for

Pluses of the hotel - very good destination, close to the old town center (10 min walking distance), very quite and calm street at the same moment. Our room has small kitchen. Tea facilities were provided, also no tea or coffee itself exist - so do not forget to purchase your own if needed. Very professional and nice staff at the reception. Good wifi for 6 Euro per day. Minuses - no bath tube, shower is rather old one, as well as the room overall. Design is rather simple and may be little bit outdated. Room overall looks more as 2-star rather than 3 star rated hotel.

Nice hotel to stay a bit a away from street noise, spacious and clean room, helpful staff, plentyful breakfast can be in included to price. High fee for wlan. Free wifi/wlan could be for costumers today.

Unbeatable value for money. So convenient for the U bahn opening up all of Munich - essentially on your doorstep. Hotel nicely back from the busier Frauenhofer Strasse so no street noise (especially if in one of the back rooms). Hotel staff efficient and friendly if not ebullient. Very handy for the International Conference centre - 20 minutes u-bahn time. The central highlights are all within easy walking distance. Lots of cafes, bars and cool shops just around the corner. I'll be back!

The GHOTEL was a good hotel for my visit to Munich. Very close to a metro stop which was handy because I used public transportation exclusively.

Although it seemed to be more of a business hotel, this hotel was perfect for our stay in Munich... the room was a good size and clean, and had a kitchenette with refrigerator making it easy to store and prepare grocery store bought meals. The area around the hotel felt safe and was quiet, just outside of the more touristy areas of the city. It was a short and pleasant walk to the metro, or towards the central square of Munich where more sights were located. The train station was conveniently close for day trips to sights outside of Munich such as Dachau or Neuschwanstein. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks were no breakfast included, and a hefty price for wifi internet access in your room. However, free internet access was available on a single computer located in the hotel lobby. Overall, a great value for the amenities provided.

highlight was the loation of hotel beside U Bahn .approx 5 minutes to centre of the old town. Also only about a twenty minute walk to the old town. Breakfast was not included in the room cost and at €12 was a little expensive but the selection and food quality was good. A very functional and clean hotel and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality basic hotel with very good access to town centre and in a very quiet and safe area etc

the woman (blonde one) on the reception that worked during the day of our stay, was very kind and tried to give us information during our stay, when the volcano erupted. but the lady from the night shift (a brunette)-completley the opposite.

Location perfect for all Munich sightseeing, Staff were great, helpful and kind, great shower in bathroom, quiet in rooms, warm and cosy, gemutlich! Grocery store and Bakery round the corner, U bahn 150 metres away,Deutsche Museum 10 minute walk, Victuellen Market and Marienplatz,15 and 20 minutes walk. Coin operated Laundry in Basement. one tiny criticism, laundry soap supplied, did not dissolve easily, Overall, totally excellent experience.

Entry to hotel is very bland but Hotel room was surprisingly nice and roomy. Entryway and parking is horrible. Parking garage full when arrived. Of course it was new years eve so maybe this was the problem. Found parking space out front but barely. If you can get an excellent price on this hotel it is nicely located to all the city sights. Reception was hit and miss on quality of service. There was only one person who went out of the way to help us. Two others were really lame help and didnt act interested in helping either. Overall average stay here.

Munich Ghotel is very good solution if you're looking for a nice hotel, close to the center and a calm place. My single room (with a double bed) was very confortable and clean. The area is very smart, with great restaurants, surprising shops and transportation facilities. A very good place to recommend.
