This hotel doesnt have AC and they wont let you check in before 3 pm. No free internet in room. The bed is not firm. The positive side is they have free coffee, tea and pastry from 11 am - midnight. Free wifi in the lobby and a small station computer free to use as well, free luggage locker, and 5 minutes walk to grocery and train station.

This is a friendly hotel with large rooms. Also, I was able to access free wi-fi in the room. A reall nice touch is the availability of free coffee / tea and internet in the reception area. The breakfast buffet included fresh scrambled egg, lovely rolls and cheeses. I would definitely rate the breakfast above average for the price. The hotel is a little bit out of town, though just 5 minutes away from the S-Bahn with trains into town (20 mins) and directly to the airport.

Outside of the downtown, but very close to public transport 200m, so you save on room price without any impact on access. Excellent staff, and facilities!

Not so bad, but a few drawbacks you should be aware of : - By default, the rooms are smokers rooms ; you should precise if you want a non-smoker room (the smell of our room was awfull) - car park is not free but reasonable price (5.5euros/day) - free coffee and tea service is only from 11am to 1am

We stayed there for one night and everything was great. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. They have a beautiful lobby where we enjoyed complimentary tea and coffee of excellent quality. It is a little far from downtown but the train station is right there, so that was not a problem at all. Would stay there again

An sonsten Tipp-Topp! Ein ruhiger Schlaf ist fast schon garantiert: weiche Betten und keine Geräusche von draußen wahrnehmbar. Von Vorteil ist auch die 24h Besetzung an der Rezeption. Im nächsten Jahr kommen wir wieder!

The hotel is located quite far from down town, although is well communicated, the tram stop is near and you have restaurants and super markets close to the hotel. We received good service in general

Excellent price/quality ratio, very friendly personnel, wonderful breakfast. Surroundings are not very nice, but the S-Bahn station is at 2 minutes walking and in 15 minutes you get to the city center. To be recommended!

La family room è adatta a 4 persone. La colazione è abbondante e varia. Il centro è raggiungibile facilmente con la metro (20-30 minuti). Per cenare occorre prendere l'automobile, oppure accontentarsi del McDonald a fianco dell'hotel.

Good hotel in Munich suburbs, close to metro station. Two remarks: the bed was uncomfortable and the receptionist misleadingly suggested that the paying underground parking was the only available nearby, which proved not to be true.

This place was very clean, quiet, and friendly. We enjoyed the free coffee and the lovely lobby, where we sat and played games with the nice background music. While we were not in the center of town, the train was only a few steps away. Our overall experience was very pleasant, and we would definitely recommend the hotel.

The staff was very helpful in suggesting places to eat that were near the hotel. We ate at the best Italian trattoria ever. It was even better than anything we had in Italy.

This hotel is located in a nice quiet residential neighborhood, right next to a McDonalds. Although we didn't take the train, there supposedly is a train stop within 5 minutes walking distance. Finding the hotel at night by car was a bit of a challenge though. We probably wouldn't have found it without our GPS and help from the local people at Burger King. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, although you do have to pay additionally for it. The room was clean comfortable and modern.

We book over the internet room and parking space. When we got there we discovered that the prices were raised. Unfortunately we were dead tired and not willing to look for an alternative but the difference in prices cannot be justified as we book just one week in advance.

Situated in the suburbs of Munich; inconvenient without a car and, with car, a little hard to find without GPS or asking a local. Friendly and helpful receptionist that made up for smoke-filled lobby. Family room was spacious but backs to an active railroad with frequent service. Clean room and beds. No air conditioner? Biggest complaint: bathtub and sink were clogged (very slow draining) and had to call in maintenance who only partially fixed the problem. Awesome breakfast that costs Eur 9,90 per adult (Eur 5,50 per child) in addition to quoted room rate but definitely worth it. McDonalds next door.

This hotel was 20 minutes plus out of the city center by train! It's a bussiness hotel. McDonalds was right next door and their drive through seemed to go all night. The people working the hotel were all very nice and helpful.

We stayed in Munich only one night and one day visiting Bavaria Filmstadt which was not close to the hotel, but our original target for the visit. The great surprise was MacDonald's just in the connection to the hotel and the computer/DVD/CD store accross the street - the main interests of our teenage boys! The instructions for using the parking hall - opening and closing the doors - were not quite accurate. -- The room was just what we hoped, large enough for a family of four, and the breakfast was quite ok.

There was aperfect hotel, very near the S-bahn station from which you could reach thw town center in about 20-25 min. The employees was very helpful and gave every directions, i asked. Aside the hotel is a Macdonald, perfect for children. The only bad is that there is nothing else nearby, (i mean a bar, restaurant etc) and if you return early to hotel you have to do nothing. The hotel offers from 11 am till night coffe, tea, croissants without expence.

A good, modern hotel, friendly personnel and good service. A bit far away from the center of Munich, but good public accomodation by train (station near hotel); this service bad late at night and in weekend because of construction of a new tunnel in the city. Two missers: a. the only bed in the double room is too small for an elderly couple like us, and b. the normal price per double room is shown as € 120, we had a deal for € 100, but beakfast was charged on top of that, and ... at the street was a sign posted telling that you could stay there for € 55 per night. Not endearing.

I enjoyed my stay in Econtel very much. The room is spacious and clean. The design is modern. The bathtub is very large. They even provide you with a bible, TV guide, and several tabloids in your room. The breakfast room is lovely, and the variety of food is good, although you have to pay extra money for your breakfast. Despite the 20 minute travel time to the city centre, I would definitely consider coming back to this hotel in the future.

Family of four enjoyed stay in Munich at Econotel Hotel. Rates for breakfast were high however MacDonalds a cheaper alternative is available next door. Good for children. Very good location outside central area however very close to metro transit. Family rooms excellently located in one area of the hotel. Very clean, friendly , quiet atmosphere. Would recommend hotel consider air conditioning in rooms.Would highly recommend for any family traveling to Munich to stay here.

This was probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in overseas. They offer free internet in the lobby, free coffee service from 11am to 1am, and the staff was very friendly. For those of you who feel being close to such places is important, a McDonald's is connected to the hotel. The only bad thing about this hotel is that it is located about 20 minutes from the city center by S-Bahn. Not a big issue, but maybe for some who would like to be closer.
