The hotel is close to train station and trams and buses, and close enough to walk to old town and museum areas. There is an Aldi grocery store 1 block south, across from the Deutsches Theatre. I didn't take the hotel's 9 Euro breakfast--ate at Burger King at the train station. There are many interesting ethnic restaurants in the area. Room was well equipped. A warning to first time visitors to Munich: there are bicycle lanes all over and be careful not to walk in them. The riders get very irate!

the web site made it look like b-fast was included. only after booking the room did i receive notice that i "had chosen not to include b-fast". it is located very close to the train station which is what i was looking for - but the map i had did not have current street names and i got lost trying to find it the first time. (once you know where it is it's very easy to find). but other than the train station, it is not a very appealing few blocks and at nighttime i was a little uncomfortable returning to the hotel by myself. the room was tiny and the bathroom really ridiculous. literally not enough room to lift my arms to brush my hair and NO counter at all. very awkward and uncomfortable bathroom. awkward sink, awkward shower. not terribly clean. all out of soap... a couple of the people at the main desk were VERY nice and helpful. one woman - very cold and unfriendly. it was fine - but not very special.

Stayed here for 2 days in Feb 2009. This is an excellent quality hotel, the staff were very friendly and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is only a few minutes walk to the shops and attractions.

The hotel was ok for the price. Reasonably clean and bed comfy enough. Dodgy area but we knew that before we booked. Only two things I would complain about: 1) We were quoted a price of 67 euro a night, including breakfast, only to find out on arrival that from 7 January 2009 (the day we arrived) there would be a charge of 9 euro per head per breakfast. Now it was indeed a lovely buffet breakfast with yummy fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, cereal, yoghurts etc, but definitely not worth 9 euro a head. Next time we will stay in a smaller pension, where breakfast is automatically included. 2) The bathroom door was a porous, wooden, badly fitted sliding door, meaning that there was little privacy when one of us was in there. Also the bathroom had no fan or window and already smelt quite gross when we arrived. Next time we will stay at one of the smaller pensions in a nicer area, better value for money and more pleasant to be in!

Quite good the breakfast, very near to city center, just 8 minutes walking to reach Marien Platz.

Nice rooms. Decent sized for European hotel. Clean. Pretty good breakfast buffet. Located close to rail station but in red light district. Only real complaint is front desk employees really aren't competent at conceirge services.

Very centrally located, less than 5 mins from main train station (easy to find), 10 mins to Marienplatz and main attractions. Service provided was good, breakfast was included in the price and very generous. Room was average, we asked for a king bed but got two joint single beds. Hotel was better than average, but could do with some slight improvements in room decor

We enjoyed our stay at the Reinbold. The rooms weren't well insulated and I had to call the desk about a neighbor whose tv was too loud late at night but it was quiet very quickly after that and there was no other trouble. The hotel is very handy for walking to the train station. It was also handy to the main streets to the old city area. I wouldn't stray too far off the beaten track near here though, at least not on my own. We were able to walk wherever we wanted to go or take the underground at the train station to go farther afield (like the Olympic Park). Very strict about times for the breakfast, I was a few minutes late one morning and though the food wasn't being removed from the buffett table the person at the front desk didn't want me to help myself (the wait person on duty however let me go as it was a weekend and like I said, the food was still all out there). Average accomodation and amenities for an average price.

the best breakfast throughout all of Germany is here! Fabulous! Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. the rooms were a tiny bit small however the location to the train station was more important to me.

This hotel was alright...location-wise, it was good. Five minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof, and an easy ten-fifteen minute walk to the old city center. My room was large, but definitely very, very worn; the photos make the rooms appear much brighter and cheerful than they actually are. Mine was kind of depressing - stained carpet, dirty mirror, ripped sheets. I was also given only one pillow and no sheets/blankets other than the fitted sheet and some sort of duvet/comforter that was too small for the bed (and me, and I'm only 5'3"!). Free wireless was great! The bathroom is spacious, but could use some refurbishment - shower head leaked a bit, sloppily-done grout, generally rough around the edges. The heat in my room wasn't working when I arrived, and while someone came up immediately to look at it, it wasn't fixed - instead they promptly brought me an additional blanket. I'm not really sure if the heat ever got fixed, or if it just got warmer outside. My room was on the second floor, facing the street, and at times it got pretty noisy below. The area is somewhat seedy, but as a single female, I never felt unsafe, even walking alone late at night - there were always many people on the street. Breakfast had a decent selection, but I wasn't overly impressed. Reception staff was very, very kind and helpful. So...I wouldn't stay here again for an extended stay in Munich, but if it's just a quick stop-over and you need a place near to the train station, I would recommend it for a night.

It was the first time I stayed at Hotel Reinbold. It's easy to find & has a great location (walking distance to the heart of the town). Our groundflour room (without any interesting view, it,s true) was really quite & confortable enought. Nice, warm and very clean bathroom. Breakfast for "heavy duty" tourists. We enjoyed very much bavarian buffet with various salads, salmon, hams, sausages, delicious fresh cheeses, fruits & local cakes. Everything was OK for this category of accomodation. Better then I imagined after lecture of Venere customers' comments & reviews. P.S. Indeed, TV set IS small, but do you come to Munich to watch soap opera ?

This is one of the good surprises i München: a very well located hotel. with a tremendously good cost/benefit relation and a clean, nice, quiet and spacious room, with everything you need around you. Why choosing other?

This is not the Ritz but for what you pay it's close enough. A good breakfast is supplied. I found the staff very friendly. The hotel is central to shops, train station, restaurants. I'd recommend this hotel.

Breakfast buffet was very rich but there was not enough space in the breakfast room. The quality of the rooms was not good. There was very old carpet. The double bed consists of one mattress, which is not good. Discolored spots were on the bath floor. The hotel needs repairs. Otherwise the staff was nice.

The Reinbold in Munich was a superb hotel in Munich. The location was excellent being right next to the central Munich station. From there we could easily take the subway to any destination in the city. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were clean. With our street-side room, it was a bit noisy at night when the clubs around the area were going and in the morning when the traffic went by. The free breakfast that they offered was extremely good. A wide selection of a standard international breakfast including a good carpaccio. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Reinbold was a great place to stay in Munich, great central location only 7 mins walk from Munich central station. Front desk was courteous and allowed us to put bags in storage when required. The breakfast which was included in the price was excellent, a feast. way more than I expected. Overall, I would definitely stay here again when in Munich (maybe for Oktoberfest). Easy to get to and a easy 15 min stroll to Marienplatz (town square).

The hotel was worn, but clean. The large buffet breakfast was more than we anticipated. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The surrounding area (near the train station) was a little seedy, but no one ever bothered us even when we walked down a few streets with casinos and sex shops to do our laundry. I'd recommend this hotel.

We found the location suited our needs brilliantly, as we were there for the Oktoberfest. It was central and we could walk everwhere. Only down side was it was really warm, and because we had the window open it was really noisy, our room faced the front.

We came at Octoberfest, so price was very high relative to what we got. Service at front desk was poor, with bad information about taxi fares to airport. Public areas need some paint and spiffing. Breakfast was very good.

Hotel and room were ok but for the heat since the weather was really hot on those days and no air conditioning is available. The carpet should absolutely cleaned or even changed. A tea and coffee maker gear would be appreciated.
