Quite ok hotel just for sleeping and breakfast. Very good location if you are travelling by train. The very center (Marienplatz, Karlsplatz, Hofbraühof) can easely be reached by foot. Good value for money.

The staff are very good but the facilities need tidying up. The carpets are old and dirty, the room a bit knocked around, the surrounding area tacky. Some paint and new carpet would help a great deal. Expensive for what you get, but it is Munich of course. It is a very easy and short walk to the Marienplatz area, which is the best feature of this hotel.

This hotel was ideally suited for my purposes. A very short walk to the Munich Hauptbahnhof from where you can get pretty much anywhere in the greater Munich area including directly to the airport. The post office was also a handy two minute walk away. The hotel staff were charming and helpful and there was a very relaxed attitude that I found appealing. The breakfast buffet was really good and well worth the added 9 euros per day to the bill.I was in a room overlooking the street which was a bit noisy but nothing worth complaining about as far as I was concerned. Bathroom and shower were ideally suited to my needs as a single traveller & there was a handy little fridge in the room. The free wi-fi access was also a real benefit to me.All in all I was very pleased with this hotel & would definitely stay there again.

Good value for money. located 5 min by foot from the city center. Simple rooms, but clean and pretty cute. Old style furniture, but quite acceptable. Really good breakfast just for 9 euro per person. Welkoming and helpfull staff. Pure ventilation in the room even if the window is opened in winter time, in summer time it suppose to be really stiffy

It was my first experience with this Hotel and I am happy I made right decision. Very near to Munich Central Station & easy to search for first timers. Late night arrivals have no problem. English speaking staff and easy access to public transport & Sight seeing. Small room, but good enough for short stay.

Great breakfast buffet. Costs 9 euros. Internet service only worked on my first night there. It required me to register for an account. I then was able to use the internet for 20 minutes, but during that time, I should have received an email to validate my new account. However, I did not get the email until a few days later. So, I just kept making new accounts. Then, on my second and third day at the hotel, the computer did not work. The front desk staff were great! They offered the most attention in all of the places that I've stayed in Europe. Great location; just ignore the number of "casinos". It's super close the train stations and the city's transit system which can get you anywhere in the city in little time. No air conditioner, though. The room came with a good fan.

Staff a bit fussy about you showing up early for breakfast and they use a token system that makes it feeel a little like school dinners. The area around the hotel was better than some previous reviewers had said. The breakfast by the way was excellent and the rooms are clean.

The hotel is close to train station and trams and buses, and close enough to walk to old town and museum areas. There is an Aldi grocery store 1 block south, across from the Deutsches Theatre. I didn't take the hotel's 9 Euro breakfast--ate at Burger King at the train station. There are many interesting ethnic restaurants in the area. Room was well equipped. A warning to first time visitors to Munich: there are bicycle lanes all over and be careful not to walk in them. The riders get very irate!

The web site made it look like b-fast was included. only after booking the room did i receive notice that i "had chosen not to include b-fast". it is located very close to the train station which is what i was looking for - but the map i had did not have current street names and i got lost trying to find it the first time. (once you know where it is it's very easy to find). but other than the train station, it is not a very appealing few blocks and at nighttime i was a little uncomfortable returning to the hotel by myself. the room was tiny and the bathroom really ridiculous. literally not enough room to lift my arms to brush my hair and NO counter at all. very awkward and uncomfortable bathroom. awkward sink, awkward shower. not terribly clean. all out of soap... a couple of the people at the main desk were VERY nice and helpful. one woman - very cold and unfriendly. it was fine - but not very special.

The hotel was ok for the price. Reasonably clean and bed comfy enough. Dodgy area but we knew that before we booked. Only two things I would complain about: 1) We were quoted a price of 67 euro a night, including breakfast, only to find out on arrival that from 7 January 2009 (the day we arrived) there would be a charge of 9 euro per head per breakfast. Now it was indeed a lovely buffet breakfast with yummy fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, cereal, yoghurts etc, but definitely not worth 9 euro a head. Next time we will stay in a smaller pension, where breakfast is automatically included. 2) The bathroom door was a porous, wooden, badly fitted sliding door, meaning that there was little privacy when one of us was in there. Also the bathroom had no fan or window and already smelt quite gross when we arrived. Next time we will stay at one of the smaller pensions in a nicer area, better value for money and more pleasant to be in!

Very centrally located, less than 5 mins from main train station (easy to find), 10 mins to Marienplatz and main attractions. Service provided was good, breakfast was included in the price and very generous. Room was average, we asked for a king bed but got two joint single beds. Hotel was better than average, but could do with some slight improvements in room decor

We enjoyed our stay at the Reinbold. The rooms weren't well insulated and I had to call the desk about a neighbor whose tv was too loud late at night but it was quiet very quickly after that and there was no other trouble. The hotel is very handy for walking to the train station. It was also handy to the main streets to the old city area. I wouldn't stray too far off the beaten track near here though, at least not on my own. We were able to walk wherever we wanted to go or take the underground at the train station to go farther afield (like the Olympic Park). Very strict about times for the breakfast, I was a few minutes late one morning and though the food wasn't being removed from the buffett table the person at the front desk didn't want me to help myself (the wait person on duty however let me go as it was a weekend and like I said, the food was still all out there). Average accomodation and amenities for an average price.

This hotel was alright...location-wise, it was good. Five minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof, and an easy ten-fifteen minute walk to the old city center. My room was large, but definitely very, very worn; the photos make the rooms appear much brighter and cheerful than they actually are. Mine was kind of depressing - stained carpet, dirty mirror, ripped sheets. I was also given only one pillow and no sheets/blankets other than the fitted sheet and some sort of duvet/comforter that was too small for the bed (and me, and I'm only 5'3"!). Free wireless was great! The bathroom is spacious, but could use some refurbishment - shower head leaked a bit, sloppily-done grout, generally rough around the edges. The heat in my room wasn't working when I arrived, and while someone came up immediately to look at it, it wasn't fixed - instead they promptly brought me an additional blanket. I'm not really sure if the heat ever got fixed, or if it just got warmer outside. My room was on the second floor, facing the street, and at times it got pretty noisy below. The area is somewhat seedy, but as a single female, I never felt unsafe, even walking alone late at night - there were always many people on the street. Breakfast had a decent selection, but I wasn't overly impressed. Reception staff was very, very kind and helpful. So...I wouldn't stay here again for an extended stay in Munich, but if it's just a quick stop-over and you need a place near to the train station, I would recommend it for a night.

It was the first time I stayed at Hotel Reinbold. It's easy to find & has a great location (walking distance to the heart of the town). Our groundflour room (without any interesting view, it,s true) was really quite & confortable enought. Nice, warm and very clean bathroom. Breakfast for "heavy duty" tourists. We enjoyed very much bavarian buffet with various salads, salmon, hams, sausages, delicious fresh cheeses, fruits & local cakes. Everything was OK for this category of accomodation. Better then I imagined after lecture of Venere customers' comments & reviews. P.S. Indeed, TV set IS small, but do you come to Munich to watch soap opera ?

Breakfast buffet was very rich but there was not enough space in the breakfast room. The quality of the rooms was not good. There was very old carpet. The Reinbold in Munich was a superb hotel in Munich. The location was excellent being right next to the central Munich station. From there we could easily take the subway to any destination in the city. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were clean. With our street-side room, it was a bit noisy at night when the clubs around the area were going and in the morning when the traffic went by. The free breakfast that they offered was extremely good. A wide selection of a standard international breakfast including a good carpaccio. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Reinbold was a great place to stay in Munich, great central location only 7 mins walk from Munich central station. Front desk was courteous and allowed us to put bags in storage when required. The breakfast which was included in the price was excellent, a feast. way more than I expected. Overall, I would definitely stay here again when in Munich (maybe for Oktoberfest). Easy to get to and a easy 15 min stroll to Marienplatz (town square).

The hotel was worn, but clean. The large buffet breakfast was more than we anticipated. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
