The best thing I can say about this hotel is the location. It's directly located at the Karlsplatz, you can get into the inner city in several minutes. The hotel itself was horrible. The elevator was scary and really old, the floors (carpet!!) were very dirty, in the corridor as well as in our room. The bathroom was really old, rusty in parts. The TV had a screen size of 30 cm - really really really small! The breakfast did cost 9 € per person. My husband wanted to eat a Weißwurst - it was rotten. The whole food (cheese, sausage, eggs) was not cooled and the breakfast dured from 7:30 to 10:30!!

This hotel is far away from being a nice one. The area is terrible, it is not at all near the city centre and the rooms are very poor. Not cleaned and with a very bad internet connection from the room. No good at all for business people. Very led quality-price ratio. I won't definitely be there again.

Very convenient location, 10 minutes walk from Hauptbahnhof and Karlsplatz. Excellent choice of hot and cold buffet, pastries at breakfast. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, though decor and carpets were looking worn. Lots of noise early in the morning from the building work going on behind the hotel.

We found the whole neighborhood of this hotel to be very seedy. The instructions provided to get to the room were hard to follow since there is much construction. The wi-fi was intermittent and could only be used in the lobby. My daughter cried herself to sleep because she didn't feel safe or comfortable here. It wasn't what we expected.

This hotel was in an excellent location for Oktoberfest but the price went up accordingly. The room was clean but the sheets were scratchy. Breakfast was an additinal 9 euros. Staff was very accommodating. CNN was the only English language TV station and only avaiable after 9pm. Looks like the hotel is in the process of updating as rugs were stained and baseboards missing and wires protruding from ceiling where fixtures had been.

This hotel was a pleasant stay , room was a bit dated needed modernised , however it was comfortable. Was close to Munich city centre and ideal location if you are coming from the train station. The receptionists were friendly and offered us help when need be. The downside about this hotel are its surroundings. There are a lot of strips clubs in this area so really not suitable if you have young family etc. Also every morning at 6 there would be building works going on which interupted your sleep. Not really the hotels fault but still an issue. Overall a decent stay however if we were staying in Munich again we would look for a nicer area.

Hotel very old, but not old enough to be in that league of hotels. Interior shabby!!! Coffee very bad, rest of breakfast ok. Hard work in the backyard starting at 7 in the morning, windows so bad, that you think, they are open! No change to have a resting sleep. POOR!

I've been there many years ago and nothing changed. The room was not well clean and walls were dirty as well one of the bedding. The room was not quiet due the people and traffic jam on the street. It's a 3 stars, but only for the room rate (not including breakfast - good but with an extra charge of 9 Euro). Maybe it will be better review the hotel classification.

Located only a 15 minute walk from Marienplatz. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good. They do have private parking but the space is very limited, about room for 4 or 5 cars. Located very close to train station, about a 5 minute walk. Here you can also catch the sightseeing tour bus. There was a lot of strip clubs in the vicinity, so if smut in the area is bothersome to you this may not be the best location.

Lovely staff - very friendly, helpful and kind. The hotel was easy to reach from the main train station...only about a 10 minute walk. As per other reviews, sure, the neighborhood is a little shady, but not too bad - didn't feel unsafe to walk home in the (early) evening. My "single" room was fabulously massive. The hotel is only a short walk - maybe 15 minutes or so - to the main square and all the great sights, sounds and tastes that Munich has to offer! All in all, a great little hotel - enjoyed my brief stay very much.

This hotel offers a good price/quality relationship. Positive : the location, not far from the main station and the center, the price, the excellent breakfast, the room large enough & comfortable and the welcoming and competent staff. Negative : the bar/fridge out of order, no air conditioning and the street noisy at night. This is not a problem in other seasons but could be very annoying in summer when you need to open the windows because of the hot temperature. So I could recommend this hotel in winter, spring or autumn but not in summer. Be careful : the entrance of this hotel is on Landwehrstrasse though there is another hotel with the same name in Schwanthalerstrasse.

The big problem is the neighborhood. It is getting worse all the time. It is truly in the red light district and there are more, presumably, unemployed men hanging around all the time. Rooms on the front of the hotel can be very noisy all night long with a YMCA right across the street. Last year it was Ok but now I have decided to make a change before my trip next year.

one of the girls working in the morning at the breakfast lounge was AWESOME. she took us wonderful fresh fruit on a plate all for us. and she was very sweet with everyone. the receptionists very not bad, but not even kind or nice at all. sometimes they did not even say hu or goodbye. the room was very large and comfortable. although the area was central the room was extremely quiet, surprisingly. it was also full of light. the bathroom too was clean, large and a bathtub was there too. the bed was comfortable. this said, we went in a period when there are not so many tourists, so we may have had one of the best rooms available. i did not have a glance at the other rooms actually. the area is not what was depicted in the reviews i read before leaving. i thought i'd find sex shops everywhere and dangerous people walking around. ok, it's not the champs élysées, but it 5 minutes' walk from the centre and the rail station. we recommend this hotel to everyone.

The quietness of the room was conditioned on the fact the hotel is on a bucy street. If the windows were closed it was very quiet - good insulation. The only solution would be for the hotel to install some sort of an air handler which would be quite costly. Noise from the inside of the hotel was very limited to not at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was extra clean (especially the all white tile bathroom). The reception was excellent and the help was very competent. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was non-smoking - a real plus. The rate was very good and the location was only a couple blocks from the pedestrian zone. The only negative at all was the strip club across the street and up the block about 50 meters. That having been said, if you don't like it - don't go in. We could completely avoid it by going the other direction on the street and it was not a problem for us.

The location was excellent geographically, yet not aesthetically (a 5 min. walk to Marianin Platz). The neighborhood, although safe from our experience, did not portray that image due to the amount of "gentlemen's clubs" in the area. The all inclusive breakfast was fabulous! This was a noisy room with no ac located on a 1 way street that was difficult to get to by driving, but the price was excellent and I spent a lot of time exploring the city because it was close to all the spots I wanted to visit. The price for parking was 13 euros, even though a sign at the front desk said 10 like my reservation also stated.
