The relation price/quality is medium. When I went in Monaco all he hotels increase the prices since the Oktoberfest.I think the same hotel take in another period can be payed less than 100€.The location is very good, just 2 minutes fron Central Station.

Colazione abbondante.

the rooms were clean but the carpets were a litt;le stained. The breakfast offerings are excellent and my mother and I love this hotel.

Excellent quality for the price. Although the immediate surroundings of the hotel are rather dreary, it is quite central and the old town center and the museums are within walking distance

Excellent staff, great location. The showers are on another floor so that is a bit of a pain. Can get a bit noisy in the morning, depending on which side of the road your room faces.

They show a nice room from a three stars hotel, and give you a room without toilet and shower. Had to pay 18 Euro more to have a "normal" room with the comforts you would expect from a three stars... but even in the "superior" room i wasn't given soap or shampoo. Definitely a very bad hotel.

The waitresses left much to desire and breakfast was poor but rooms were good. A good option for train travellers since it's just round the corner.

My wife and I stayed for one night in December. We had difficulty finding the hotel using the map even though the hotel is very close to the main station. The welcome from the man on the door was friendly. The room was very small and basic (especially the tiny bathroom). However it was clean and comfortable with a good bed, and for £50 for 2 including breakfast you can't go wrong. Regarding breakfast you have to leave the hotel and walk across the yard to another building - not so good when it's raining.

Convenience to Hauptbahnhof and price made a small, comfortable single room an outstanding value. Excellent helpful staff person.

Despite good breakfast and great location, I paid $160 a night for a 7x9 ft. attic room without shower, toilet, tv or minibar. When I reserved, the total looked OK, but unitemized prices DOUBLED for three days of the "trade fair." Don't get ripped off in Munich - do not go from September thru February. Could have had a laptop for the $160 nights wasted!!!!!!

First of all the loactaion and cleanliness of this hotel were excellent. A warm welcome was provided even though there was a mix up with my booking. My room was on the very top floor and was very small but comfortable. Not what I had expected for €192 for 2 nights but Octoberfest was on. The toilet was shared and was on the same floor, however, the shower was in another block of the hotel completely and a key for this shower was required from reception. This did not bother me too much as I was traveling on my own without the family. My biggest concern was the fact that my mp3 player and an unused disposable camera were stolen from my room on the last night. I did not notice this until I arrived home after an early flight. I dont know who stole these items but there were in my packed bag at 3pm the day before I left. Other items in the room had been moved as well. As I said for location and cleanliness this is a perfect hotel, its such a pity this had to happen.

Helpful, friendly staff; good service, good breakfast; its a basic but decent, clean and quiet place to crash after a full-on day enjoying Munich and other Bavarian sights!; excellent location, as its city centre, its within walking distance of good pubs/cafes, museums, parks, the main shopping district, and other attractive sights that make Munich such a beautiful and interesting city to visit; the hotel is also very close to tour departure points, such as the Berchtesgaden/Eagles Nest trip,(outside the HERTIE Department store) so you dont have to get up TOO early in the morning if you've had too much weissbier the night before!! A good hotel within a perfect location... Thumbs up!

I upgraded to a double for 60 EUR, which gave me a private shower -- much needed after a 14 hour flight! Internet is not free -- to connect wirelessly, it's 3.90 EUR, which was not expected.

the receptionist was not so kind to give us the wrong information about what we ask for. This behaviour, specially in Germany don't meet our expectations. The relationship between price/quality is good, important to don't meet at reception this person!

I can completely recommend this hotel, I was stunned about the great value for money this is. You are right in the heart of Munich, in very nice rooms, professional and friendly staff, with an impressive and excellent breakfast buffet and all this for an incredibly low price.

The Alpha City Centre Hotel is in a very handy location close to the Munich train station and within an easy walk of the central pedestrian area of the city. The location is quiet and the neighbourhood is fine. Our room was small but very well laid out and comfortable. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was excellent. A good find.

The staff is wonderful and accommodating. The breakfast is also done well. The economy room is small but adequate and comfortable. I knew that there would not be a shower in my room (there was a sink with soap & towels) I did not realize nor is it mentioned that I would need to use a shower in a vacant room. As it turns out, the shower I used was on the floor below and was not far but it is something to think about. The warmth of the staff makes up for any faults of the hotel!

In the confirmation message was stated that there was not shower in the room. But the reality is that there is not shower neither inside nor outside the room. The employee suggested to provide me with an empty room the next morning to take a shower, but that is obviously a bad solution. There is not a WC inside the room. That was not announced!.Nice price but the shower makes the room not aceptable for me for the next time. Be sure to book a room with shower!!

Reception Staff were extremely unprofessional.Very unhelpful and sometimes rude. When we did not show any interest in the city tour they recommended, they lost all interest in answering our questions. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I knew that the room would be without a bathroom. But I thought there would be a shared bath. Obviously there wasn't and I couldn't even take a shower the morning after. Very strange. Besides, the man at the reception desk was very impolite.

Terrible place if you are not a smoker. The lobby area is constantly filled with heavy zigarrette smoke and stinks terribly. The front desk person at night is incompetent and unwilling to help. Even though there is an elevator there are still many steps to climb with your luggage. The rooms are quiet from street noise but not from other rooms. There are so many hotels in this area right near the hauptbahnhof; I would never stay at Alfa again.

Very positive first impression with competent and friendly staff. They allowed us an early check-in and expressed care throughout our stay. Very convenient location and yet on a quiet street. We were assigned to House C facing the street and we were never bothered with city noise. The breakfast room was very well appointed and we were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast selections, including two egg choices and fresh fruit. The price reflected the high demand period of Oktoberfest. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

This hotel was a mere 5-minute walk from the main railway station and on a very quiet street that was still within easy distance to the heart of Munich. The staff was very helpful, including allowing me to leave my luggage while I went sightseeing after arriving too early on the night train to get into the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the service was everything I would have expected at a quality German restaurant. The room I had, though small (I think it was a converted attic dormer room), it had a sink and clean towels with the toilet (shared) just outside my door. I thought it was a great value, especially since I was there during Oktoberfest when any room in Munich is expensive. It was cozy, comfortable, and convenient to shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

Your hotel is good value for money. The only things we found a bit uncomfortable were lack of air conditioning (35C outside!) and the noise from the renovation work right behind the window (which. of course, is not your fault), I could certainly recommend your hotel to my friends.

My case might be special because I booked the room without en suit shower. Since I was alone, I thought it's not a big deal not having private shower in the room. But there's no public shower! I couldn't have a shower after my all day trip but had to wait until the next morning to do it in another room when the client checked out or something. I used to stay in Berlin with room without private shower so I thought it's the same case but no. Excellent idea for space management but a strange experience for me. By the way, breakfast was great.
