The cleaning stuff came twice into my "locked" room without knocking on the door while I was sleeping. To the question why she did it she commented with a caustically note that she has to clean the room. I was like I know that you have to do your job, but I am allowed to use the room untill 11am until my check out. she: If you're not ok with my service put your "do not disturb" sign on the door I only have to do my job. I closed the door and was shocked. While I was at the reception for my check-out she monitored me strongly if I claim about her. I didn't feel comfirtable

Pros: walking distance to train station, close to city center, quiet area, clean, helping staff. Cons: we had a quadruple room, and almost entire area of the room was occupied by beds leaving just a little space to walk. Ordinary rooms are fine (lived in this hotel before).

Everything was quite good except for the WIFI service, we were not able to use it at all. The shower was also complicated when we wanted to take it in the morning (I suppose because that was the busy time), in the afternoon or evening it was fine.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights with my boyfriend. It's only a couple of minutes walk from the main train station and about 10 minutes from the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anybody.

Great location - very close to the train and tourist information as well as walkable to the city center. Some traffic and street noise. We stayed both at the beginning and end of our German trip, in two different rooms. Both were simple and clean. One had interesting quirks (ex. an artsy stained glass window) while the other was smaller, but had a fridge. The European breakfast buffet had many good options. Desk was staffed 24 hours with friendly, English-speaking folks. Overall, a good budget option.

This is an older property and is priced as such. I very much enjoyed my stay here though, as it reminded me of my trips to Germany in the 80s. The public areas were worn and a bit dirty which is unfortunate. The rooms were tidy. The service was really eager and accommodating. For the right price, this is a property worth considering. The internet was impossible in the rooms but worked well in public areas. It DOES have the feel of an upgrade from a youth hostel, older travelers be advised.

Me and my boy-friend were very pleased with the services provided & the quality of our accomodation. Being in the imedaite proximity of Central train station, I feared the hotel might be noisy, but his wa snot the case. The room was nice, newly furnished & clean. (Actually looked better than on the pics I saw online)The chamber maid came by daily to clean & changed toweels. Breakfast included a wide variety of food. Internet access is free of charge in the lobby & the wireless connection worked in our room too. Staff was friendly, and spoke decent English. The value for money offered here is very good.

The hotel is about a minute walk to the Hbf and 5 minutes to downtown. Great atmosphere at hotel. A little small for the 3 person room, but the color palette's used and the whole feel of the hotel make up for it. I believe the hotel was a little too pricey for the size. Great breakfast! Ok service. Definitely a great hotel for a group of young professionals.

What an awesome and very competent staff! Very, very helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay here! While the rooms are a little cramped, the ambience makes up for the space...besides you will be out and about while in Munich...not sitting in your room! The hotel is centrally located and had a wonderful breakfast. I would definitely recommend these accomodations!

The hotel is really very nice, and the breakfasts were excellent. Bathrooms have wonderful fittings and good showers. Bed was comfortable, but staff were a bit perplexed when I asked for a second pillow! Also the room was a bit warm as the window didn't open very far, and I had to lower the exterior rolling shutters in order to sleep (street light just outside my window). One good thing is that I was right next to the elevator, but could just barely tell if it was being used - a rarity, considering most hotels have elevators that, when in use, will wake the dead. Overall, a very nice place to stay, and convenient 2 min walk to pedestrian area and train station. slightly shady neighbourhood, but nothing to worry about. Staff incredibly friendly. Price was a bit high (550+ euros for a three-night stay) but there was a convention in town. Recommended.

This is an expensive hotel (compared to the quality of the room) due to the fact that it is next to the train station. Normally I would pay 50 euro for such a hotel. I paid 200 (double room). It seriously need a renovation. It looks like a hotel from the 80s. It is more like a cheap motel (but with expensive rates). If you are a backpacker the facilities are fine. If a business traveler looking for a normal hotel... I would not recommend it. Plus some of the sheets were stained (they were washed of course. That was obvious, but stains had remained).

We arrived very late, but the desk is 24 hours, which we were thankful for. There was a small mistake that our 3rd bed wasn't set up, but the very friendly man at the desk took care of it right away. He also showed me where a good place to park would be; He was really helpful. The room was nice, and kind of unusual in a good way. The bathroom was like a little chapel with a arched wall and a stained glass window. No AC, but the window opened all the way if you needed air. Breakfast was terrific. Great place to stay and very close to the central Hauptbahnhof.

Good points: Centrally located near main train station, a ten minute walk to Marienplatz(main square), good breakfast, excellent value for money. Not so good but not that bad: If you leave the window open you'll hear noise, the bathroom was a little dated (but the shower was nice and powerful however) and it doesn't look too hot. Having said all that if I was going to Munich again (which I am) I would definitely stay here- it's excellent value for money

The hotel is quite ok, if you are not up to high standard. The rooms are very small and only basically equipped. On the other hand, the hotel has a perfect location, just 3 min. walking distance to the main station. If you don't need a luxury bed and much room, the hotel is quite recommendable.

We NEVER did stay here as we arrived at the 1st Creatif Elephant and they told us we were booked at another one of their properties a few blocks away (The Deutsch Theater Hotel). Luckily we have children who are 6 and 11 and not babies! It was a long walk after a airplane ride and train ride. Whyd didn't they tell you or us they were changing hotels? We booked well in advance. The room was clean but VERY small for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff was nice and the bar/restaurant was convenient but I could tell the staff was having issues among themselves as much arguing was seen in public areas. I must admit the place was small but quiet.

The hotel is easy to find, in a great location next to the Hauptbanhof and the Marienplatz. The concierge was very friendly and helpful, even at 4:30am. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the linens new and crisp. The only complaint, although this would be true of almost all of Europe, is that the bathroom is sub-par compared to American bathroom designs. The toilet and shower are poorly placed and oddly designed (allowing water to splash on the floor, for example). Perhaps we Americans are hygiene-obsessed. But this is an aside....1st Creatif Elephant is a fabulous hotel, with a price that can't be beat, and a great place to rest your head in the heart of Munich after a long day of travel!

A few steps from the U-Bahn and the Hauptbahnhof. People working there are very friendly and they helped us a lot to get our lost buggage from the airport. Rooms are clean, comfortable and with a nice modern design. Although breakfast buffet is not extraordinary, you can eat quite well before leaving for a nice day in Munchen. I would definitely repeat!

Got off to a bad start after being given the keys at 3.30pm to a room that had not been cleaned. It is never nice to begin a stay in a hotel be seeing someone else's mess in your room. This was followed by our key being given to another couple while we were out - causing much confusion. Our room was very small and particularly noisy. I would certainly not stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights during the 'Oktoberfest'. The prices was EUR 160.- per night for 3 person, but the room quality was poor. It looks like they are going to renovate the place (we have seen some workers). The location is quite good (near the railway station). The hotel doesn't offer a parking space but there's a public place right around the corner (EUR 15.-/day).

We booked a quad room, but in all fairness we were very cramped, the room was more a twin room with a couple of camp beds pushed in. Cleanliness was fine, but shower curtains need a few more inches added to the bottom. The hotel was very handy to the rail station, and the staff were kind enough to look after our bags as we got there early.Breakfast very good selection of hot and cold foods. Overall a good hotel to stay at, but not for 4 people in one room.

Hotel is situated in a side street close (within walking distance) to main Munich train station. Hotel is also within walking distance of other Munich attractions such as the Marienplaz.
