This is a very nice hotel, the breakfast is delicious and the employees are very kind.

What an awesome and very competent staff! Very, very helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay here! While the rooms are a little cramped, the ambience makes up for the space...besides you will be out and about while in Munich...not sitting in your room! The hotel is centrally located and had a wonderful breakfast. I would definitely recommend these accomodations!

+ Location of the hotel is perfect - very central. - One of the rooms had a smell like someone had smoked there before. Generally i would say that for one night stay the hotel is very good for the price we payed.

This is an expensive hotel (compared to the quality of the room) due to the fact that it is next to the train station. Normally I would pay 50 euro for such a hotel. I paid 200 (double room). It seriously need a renovation. It looks like a hotel from the 80s. It is more like a cheap motel (but with expensive rates). If you are a backpacker the facilities are fine. If a business traveler looking for a normal hotel... I would not recommend it. Plus some of the sheets were stained (they were washed of course. That was obvious, but stains had remained).

The hotel is really very nice, and the breakfasts were excellent. Bathrooms have wonderful fittings and good showers. Bed was comfortable, but staff were a bit perplexed when I asked for a second pillow! Also the room was a bit warm as the window didn't open very far, and I had to lower the exterior rolling shutters in order to sleep (street light just outside my window). One good thing is that I was right next to the elevator, but could just barely tell if it was being used - a rarity, considering most hotels have elevators that, when in use, will wake the dead. Overall, a very nice place to stay, and convenient 2 min walk to pedestrian area and train station. slightly shady neighbourhood, but nothing to worry about. Staff incredibly friendly. Price was a bit high (550+ euros for a three-night stay) but there was a convention in town. Recommended.

We arrived very late, but the desk is 24 hours, which we were thankful for. There was a small mistake that our 3rd bed wasn't set up, but the very friendly man at the desk took care of it right away. He also showed me where a good place to park would be; He was really helpful. The room was nice, and kind of unusual in a good way. The bathroom was like a little chapel with a arched wall and a stained glass window. No AC, but the window opened all the way if you needed air. Breakfast was terrific. Great place to stay and very close to the central Hauptbahnhof.

The hotel was excellent and had its own character which is refreshing. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very good. However there is a lack of restaurants in the immediate area - need to walk into the city centre.

Hotel very near to the train station and center of town. However, the bathroom is very small and the door affording to the contiguous room gives a lot of noise.

Good points: Centrally located near main train station, a ten minute walk to Marienplatz(main square), good breakfast, excellent value for money. Not so good but not that bad: If you leave the window open you'll hear noise, the bathroom was a little dated (but the shower was nice and powerful however) and it doesn't look too hot. Having said all that if I was going to Munich again (which I am) I would definitely stay here- it's excellent value for money

The hotel is quite ok, if you are not up to high standard. The rooms are very small and only basically equipped. On the other hand, the hotel has a perfect location, just 3 min. walking distance to the main station. If you don't need a luxury bed and much room, the hotel is quite recommendable.

This was the first time to Munich and we will visit the Creatif Elephant again. The proximity of the hotel to the Central Station and Marienplatz was alot closer than indicated which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was particularly generous and tasty, the ladies looked after us well!

We NEVER did stay here as we arrived at the 1st Creatif Elephant and they told us we were booked at another one of their properties a few blocks away (The Deutsch Theater Hotel). Luckily we have children who are 6 and 11 and not babies! It was a long walk after a airplane ride and train ride. Whyd didn't they tell you or us they were changing hotels? We booked well in advance. The room was clean but VERY small for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff was nice and the bar/restaurant was convenient but I could tell the staff was having issues among themselves as much arguing was seen in public areas. I must admit the place was small but quiet.

Very, very close to the train station. Superb location, but potentially loud. Our room was minuscule, but we didn't mind, even though some people may. Good breakfast (we stayed in March 2005)

The hotel is easy to find, in a great location next to the Hauptbanhof and the Marienplatz. The concierge was very friendly and helpful, even at 4:30am. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the linens new and crisp. The only complaint, although this would be true of almost all of Europe, is that the bathroom is sub-par compared to American bathroom designs. The toilet and shower are poorly placed and oddly designed (allowing water to splash on the floor, for example). Perhaps we Americans are hygiene-obsessed. But this is an aside....1st Creatif Elephant is a fabulous hotel, with a price that can't be beat, and a great place to rest your head in the heart of Munich after a long day of travel!

A few steps from the U-Bahn and the Hauptbahnhof. People working there are very friendly and they helped us a lot to get our lost buggage from the airport. Rooms are clean, comfortable and with a nice modern design. Although breakfast buffet is not extraordinary, you can eat quite well before leaving for a nice day in Munchen. I would definitely repeat!

I really liked this place. Two problems: they were renovating other rooms so there was a constant droning during the day & the room was pretty cramped. But if they are finished renovating, the area is nice and I would definitely recommend!

Got off to a bad start after being given the keys at 3.30pm to a room that had not been cleaned. It is never nice to begin a stay in a hotel be seeing someone else's mess in your room. This was followed by our key being given to another couple while we were out - causing much confusion. Our room was very small and particularly noisy. I would certainly not stay again.

Even when I had made a reservation with a month in advance, the room provided for the first of two days was not the one agreed (with private bathroom). On the other hand the hotel has an excellent location 3 minutes walking from the Main rail station.

We stayed for 2 nights during the 'Oktoberfest'. The prices was EUR 160.- per night for 3 person, but the room quality was poor. It looks like they are going to renovate the place (we have seen some workers). The location is quite good (near the railway station). The hotel doesn't offer a parking space but there's a public place right around the corner (EUR 15.-/day).

We booked a quad room, but in all fairness we were very cramped, the room was more a twin room with a couple of camp beds pushed in. Cleanliness was fine, but shower curtains need a few more inches added to the bottom. The hotel was very handy to the rail station, and the staff were kind enough to look after our bags as we got there early.Breakfast very good selection of hot and cold foods. Overall a good hotel to stay at, but not for 4 people in one room.

For the price, this is a good place to be close to the center of town. Breakfast buffet was substantial and the desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large enough for us, but we didn't spend much time in the room. Moderately shabby, but good enough!

Not a bad hotel for the price, very close to the main train station. But on the website it says there is a shuttle available to the airport, but it was over 60 euros, we thought it would be free.

Hotel is situated in a side street close (within walking distance) to main Munich train station. Hotel is also within walking distance of other Munich attractions such as the Marienplaz. As a family of four we booked two twin/double rooms for two nights. Rooms were of reasonable size with satisfactory amenities. Continental breakfast was also included in tariff. Staff were generally friendly and helpful and spoke/understood English. Overall hotel represented reasonable value for money.

I am very pleased to have stayed at this hotel. The property was an excellent value and the room was decorated in a contenporary style. I loved the simplicity of the space and it was a very comfortable stay. I will definately stay there again. I was unable to get a room at this hotel the second night and moved to an IBIS hotel for 30 euro more a night. It was a complete disappointment after staying at the Creatif.

Money would be better spent on a backpackers than this place! Maybe once the upgrade is done it will be better, but we were very unimpressed with our rooms. We had to leave early the next day, and although breakfast was included in the price, the manager had a problem with us taking a piece of fruit with us in lieu of a decent breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The rooms were clean and neat, but could use renovation (especially the bathroom). The staff was helpful and courteous. The price of the room was a good deal. The buffet breakfast was very good. Thanks 1st Creatif Elephant. You helped make our stay in Munchen very enjoyable.

Our hotel was over booked for the weekend we stayed. 1st Creatif Elephant arranged for a room for us at a nearby hotel. We ended up at Hotel Ludwig. Location is hard to beat - right around the corner from the main train station. For some reason, they insisted when we checked in that "at this price, you have to pay us in cash when you leave". Room a little cramped (a twin), but comfortable.

Very nice hotel where my 22 yr old son and I stayed one night in Dec 2004. Breakfast was included for the rate and it was one of the best we had in our travels this year. Staff spoke English which really helped, too. I recommend this hotel for the cleanliness and helpful staff.

I was pleased with my stay at the "1st. Creatif Elephant". The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly and willing to help with any questions I had. Price quoted was the price I paid. Although the wood floors were pretty, carpeting would probably have been a little more quite. all in all though, I was very pleased with this hotel.

I thought the hotel was a decent value in a good location for my purposes. The noise though in the morning was terrible due to outside construction work, and this kept me from getting the sleep I wanted. I would consider a return stay at this hotel once the noise issue is resolved

The hotel is a two stars hotel, without an elevator which makes it very difficult to carry the luggage up to the third floor. No one helps you. That is the only thing that I didn't like of the hotel: the employees should be kind to the guests.
