Helvetia Hotel Munich City Center - Munich

Very convenient location, within 5 minutes to the main train station, where you can also catch a bus to airport). Walking distance to department stores and shops. Room is very clean and looks new. It is not spacious but very comfortable. A bargain in the city centre. The ladies at the reception are also very helpful and friendly. They have a small room where you can leave luggage after checking out.

Close to Hauptbahnhof, but in a not very attractive neighborhood. Room was decent size, clean, bedding good, bathroom a bit small and awkward. No public areas to speak of other than a very small lobby entrance. Breakfast was good, but we were charged 9,50 each. Wi-fi was extra. An adequate hotel, but there are better values to be found in the Hauptbahnhof area.

Staff was helpful and friendly.Rooms are extremely small, but for the price you couldn't beat it. Was our first time to Munich, everything is right there....nice.

Basic hotel with small rooms, provides exactly what is offered on the web page, including a safe in the room. Very good location close to the subway, central station, S-bahn (regional trains) and trams. Only problem: the card-based internet conecton did not work.

Perfect location and it takes 5 minutes at most by walk from Munich central station. The receptionists are always generous in giving help.

Excellent location when arriving by train and easy access to transport. The area around the main station in Munich is better than in most cities and safe at night. The Helvetia provided excellent breakfasts and the room was modern, nicely decorated, clean and very quiet even though the hotel is in a quite busy area. Bathroom was great with a walk in shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Staff were very helpful not just about the hotel but also things to see and do and public transport etc. Would recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic hotel. A little hard to locate, but top-notch. Employees are fantastic, service excellent, and the rooms were great. Very spacious, quiet, modern furnishings and design. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, breakfast and competence of employees.

The Hotel staff was wonderful - friendly, extremely helpful. The room was clean and modern, but small. The location is good and bad -you are right in the heart of Munich,in walking distance of shopping, Oktoberfest, etc., but you are also in the middle of the "red light" district. The room got very warm at night, and we were forced to open our windows just to sleep - we then couldn't sleep because the street noise was so loud - the hotel is surrounded by bars, strip bars, restaurants, etc. If that wasn't an issue, it otherwise would have been fine. My husband had earplugs - I wish I had some! The breakfast room is clean/modern, and the food was respectable, and was included with the room.

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, situato a 5 minuti dalla zona pedonale. Camere spazione, pulite e nuove. Colazione eccellente, abbondante e con vasta scelta.

Helvetia Hotel is a 30 second walk from the central train station and there is access to the subway directly outside the door. Location is fantastic. The staff were so helpful. We moved from a double room to a triple room, the camp bed was very uncomfortable, so I told reception. They set up a brand new bed in the room. Very impressive! Breakfast was fabulous. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Very funky interior design too. All in all, a very enjoyable experience, would highly recommend staying here.
