Hotel Le Strasbourg - Mulhouse

Room and service offered excellent value for money. Short walk takes you into the centre of old Mulhouse. The outside of the hotel is a bit run down (painting the doors to the car park would work wonders !) and the general surroundings don't present a great image. Still an excellent hotel though.

Hotel is right in the centre of town. Excellent but noisy location, with trams just outside your window(and room was so hot that window had to be open). Good beds, spotless room with private bathroom. The kind of weird entrance by car leads to secure parking in court yard. Excellent value for money.

It is a very friendly clean Hotel. The price is acceptable, breakfast good. Very nice service. The hotel lies near the center of Beaune, but is quiet with a parking behind. I will always go there again, when I am in Beaune.

This was similar to a US Motel 6 in terms of the room type. It was clean and comfortable and had on site parking but you needed assistance to know how to use the parking. You had to drive across the tram lines and up on the sidewalk to enter the parking area.

Our first thought when we got there was oh dear! the hall is rather awful and it looked a little depressing, but the room was very clean and we only stayed for a couple of nights so it was ok. next time i'll try a different place, though

Breakfast cost more than expected(7euro instead of 6)

Spot on. Went over for the jazz festival and the hotel was about equidistant from the 3 venues. Very close to the quaint old town of Mulhouse and also to the main shopping area. Good friendly staff and open till 1.30 to allow for late finishes at the festival! Shortage of cupboard space in rooms and hooks for towels, if we were to be finicky, but hey - improvise! Breakfast now 7.50 euros, but still worth it, I reckon. Highly recommended!

The breakfast is a disaster 2 nights

La chambre était confortable mais la salle de bains très petite. Le parking privé était très appréciable dans un quartier aussi central. Nous sommes restés 2 nuits à l'hôtel Le Strasbourg. Le prix était très correct.

This hotel is well priced and is in a convenient location. Rooms are typical for Europe. Room was clean. People were friendly. Only complaint is that the rooms could use AC or at least a ceiling fan. Location can be noisy, as it is on a busy street. Stayed for 12 nights for business in Basel.

Para lo que se necesitaba el hotel que era para dormir, ha cumplido su funcion a la perfeccion, lo del garaje un lujo y el servicio muy amable. El hotel es parco en detalles pero muy bien situado,limpio y en precio excepcional.

The outside of the hotel was not recognizable by the photo on the net... thankfully the taxi driver knew the spot. My room was clean, which is of course the essentiel, but the decor was surprizingly drab and uninteresting...white on the floors, white on the walls, and even a bedspread with a white base ! Further, the "apparent buffet breakfast" was a dissapointment.The buffet itself looked enticing, but the clients are quickly ushered to a place and asked to be seated while the server brings them an imposeed choice of one croissant and one piece of bread with a portion of butter and the option of one portion of jam or honey. So much for the cereals displayed on the table. Only a staff member was allowed to serve herself at the buffet, in front of the clients !

Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo. Lo stile è molto semplice, la stanza ed il bagno sono spaziosi. Cambio asciugamani e pulizia quotidiana. La posizione è centrale. Consigliato.

Breakfast ist very simpl; If you miss the enty of the parking place, you will nearly never come back to the hotel

The rooms are o.k.for that price, breakfast typical french breakfast,nothing special,but the most important is hotel is in the center,shops near hotel for shopping...

We stayed here on the return leg of a 5 week trip to Italy we were horribly delayed and an 8 hour trip became 16 hours, we called the owners and explained our situation, we were told not to worry but to call again when we were closeer, we called at 4:30 to advise we were 30 minutes away we arrived at 5am, 3 tired kids and 2 shattered parents, we all went off to bed, knowing our way around from the previos stay we had here. we awoke around 11:30, having missed breakfast and prepared to hit the road again to reach Calais later that day, as we were heading off the owner called us back to say he had saved breakfats for us and felt it would be horrible for the children to have to go without. we stayed here twice, and would and will again on reaching calais, I realised my cell phone was at the hotel, I contacted the owner and within three days of our arrival back in the UK it was with me again. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, the owners are kind, generous, extremely polite, the hotel is spotles, the rooms good. I couldn't reccommend it highly enough, my kids still talk about the best Croissants they have ever eaten some 8 months later. travelling to Italy, stop over at the Starsbourg in Mulhouses.

We stayed here twice last summer ( I apologise to the owner for not writting this sooner) Onece on the way to Italy, we arrived a little later that we planned, the owner was fantastic waiting up for us and making sue the kids had a little supper available. the rooms are clean, functional and more than you would expect given the price is so reasonable.

Habitaciones amplias y limpias; recepcionistas encantadores; proximidad al centro histórico de Mulhouse. Un lugar agradable y bien atendido. La disponibilidad de parking en pleno centro es fantástica. Muy recomendable.

We were very pleased with the hotel, but the bathroom needs somewhere to hang clothes, plus a hair dryer. A lounge would be nice, and possibly an English television channel or some music, but otherwise, a lovely, clean, quiet hotel, and the owner was very polite to us.

Booked a quadriple room for 1 night as a stop on our way to Italy. The employees (two brothers?) were friendly and helpfull: extra bread and cerials for our children were given (little children eat for nothing!). Cars of the guests can be parked behind closed gate.

Clean and fair 2 star hotel well located in downtown Mulhouse. We had a family room (#20). Staff was very nice. The only hicups are: - service of breakfast: most of the time, it was not ready when we arrived and we had to ask for everything (butter, or silvery, or juice, etc...). Only the last morning was fine... - one night, there was people talking loudly and late in the hotel's open air parking lot were our room had its windows - the last annoying thing was the fact that the hotel was often locked during the day (in order to avoid anyone to enter when there was no one at the front desk). We had to wait until someone came to open. Other than that, this is a fine property and we would come back.

For some strange reason our group of 6 were the only guests staying at 'Le Strasbourg' during our visit from 1-4th November 2006. Not that there was anything wrong with the hotel, far from it, as we were warmly welcomed and well treated throughout our stay. One of the best features was the secure and free parking available in a courtyard at the rear of the hotel, and this right in the city centre. One small drawback was the fact that the the hotel had no public lounge, which would have been a nice location for meeting friends etc. Overall though we would give the hotel an excellent rating. The reason for our visit to Mulhouse? To tour the nearby and highly acclaimed Schlumpf Motor Museum.
