This was a lovely hotel and the staff were all very customer focused, polite and very helpful. The position, right at the lake was great. The room was spacious and well furnished. However, if you don't want to spend the considerable extra cash on a lake view, a hotel a little further back would be worth checking out. It would probably be cheaper and in easy walking distance to the lake.

This is a beautiful old property on the edge of the lake, very well maintained and appointed. Comfortable rooms and elegant furnishings and a lovely lobby which opens, in the back, to a garden and steps down to the lakeside promenade. The rooms are spacious enough for all your suitcases and wine boxes, with large clean bathrooms. The lakeside rooms had a lovely balcony with a table and chairs. Awnings provided cover during rain or sun. and rolladen kept the room quiet and dark at night. The beds were 2 twins pushed together but slept well. Crisp fresh Italian linens and bathrobes. Wi-Fi was reliable and free. Hotel staff was very cordial. We recommend the breakfast - 22Sfr. Very nice spread and good espresso - cheeses, meats and wonderful breads and pasteries. Served inside in the spring in a gorgeous antebellum room. The price was in line with a grand old hotel before the high season - 249SFr a night. This is a smart and well done hotel in a beautiful, small Swiss lake town. Bus passes came with the room and the town is easy to park or walk in. Great food abounds and you can visit Freddie Mercury and the Miles Davis Concert Hall. Do it!

A perfect lakeside setting in an old-fashioned luxury hotel. With great views from our balcony, it was natural to order room service to enjoy our dinner.

I stayed at this hotel as there was a conference in Montreux. I would heartily recommend it, service was excellent, rooms were clean and comfortable and they have free ethernet internet access. It is comfortable and in a great setting.

We stayed at the eden palace for 5 nights. The total was only 1050 CHF which turned out to be very good value. To be fair the room was at the back of the hotel so there was noise from the road and no lake view. Room had Free movies / free internet via TV. Breakfast (which was included) was a buffet and was very good with lots of choice including hot and cold options. Overall room was ok, but the hotel facilities and location were fantastic. Would definitely recommend it.(But maybe pay a bit more for lake view room)

We were given a very pleasant room on the first floor with beautiful view across Lake Geneva. Only downside was nuisance caused by children using the lifts as a toy for their private use and therefore causing delays. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was not taken in the hotel as the Oriental Palace Restaurant next door was more interesting.

Swimming pool is not for sole use of hotel guests and in the afternoon it was near impossible to find a lounger. Room was very nice and well decorated to the standard that I would expect from the star rating and the breakfast had a very good selection. Location could not be any better Only issue I had was the air conditioning was not very good so had to open windows and as I was facing onto the street this could get quite noisey

We spent 5 days in Montreux; the hotel is very good and in wonderful position. Only the prices and quality of restaurant aren't ok.

Very large, grand city hotel with nice garden area. Too cold to use the outdoor pool, but great location near the walkway along the lakeshore. Privacy garden isolates the view from other walkers. Centrally located in Montreux and the main lakeside walkway. Casino nearby and so is central parking garage (convenient but at extra cost). Excellent breakfast buffet in turn-of-century looking breakfast dining area.

Upon our arrival, very welcoming, they did not have a parking space for us for the first night, so they upgraded our room to a Junior Suite. We were ok with that being there is a parking gargage 1/2 block away. We really enjoyed our stay here with the exception of a euro 15 ham sandwich for lunch one day that consisted of 3 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese on bread with lettuce on the side. Thought that was a little over the top! But the view off our balcony was excellent and the room was great. Would recommend this hotel highly. Easy access to the Casino and good recommendation from the front desk on restaurants.
